Yeah i was reading on the questions on the psm meg where they ask ed some questions. And one was the first to the last i think anyway, they ask how many ppl work on mk1 and how many work on mkda .he talked about him programmers and so on but never mentioned john or gave him credit for anything,I heard he took over the project of mksf after john left but he said he didnt have anything to do with that.I think cause they werent so good and didnt sale well he didnt want to be known to have anything to do with them.Thats kinda messed up to not give credit to ppl when its called for or to say you didnt have anything to do with your project just cause it sucked.I am starting to wonder if he might have had anything to do with mkadvance and just said no cause it sucked ass.

Don't call Boon a jerk, he's one of my favorite people in the world, I really admire his work.
And second, it may not be his fault as to why he didn't mention John anywhere, it might be the move of the companies president or other high official.

I think John was one of the artists wasn't he. I mean I am sure he did more but I think he was one of the two artists.

Ed Boon or any members of the standard MK team for that matter have never had anything to do with a handheld version of MK. They didn't even work on the GBA version of Deadly Alliance. So, yeah, he's not lying. As for not mentioning John Tobias, remember, this is an interview where you're being asked questions that you aren't prepared for. It's not like he wrote an essay in advance. You can't blame the guy for leaving some details out when giving short answers off the top of his head. It's not like he said, "It was all me. By myself nobody helped.".

woo woo wait a min, john is to important to all of a sudden just forget who helped creat the story and so forth for mk.He mentioned mksf which was john's project first. So i dont think he forgot.

John T came up with most of the story and the character concepts... but yah Boon Programed most of MK1.

John may have come up with most of the story, but he had NOTHING to do with MKDA, and for the most part, the MKDA overall story was outstanding. Personally, I think that Boon didn't mention him because it was a bit spur of the moment. They were asking him how he felt about the evolution of the game from MK1 to MK:D, and he said 1 programmer(himselfer), 2 artists and one sound mixer. He didn't mention Forden by name either, and we all know that Dan Forden is pretty much just as important to MK as Tobias or Boon...not so much as programming and development of the mythos, but hey, we all grew to love the crazy bastard when his face started popping on screen proclaiming 'Toasty'. Whether or not Boon and Tobias split on bad terms, I don't think he intended it to be spiteful.
The bottomline is: Mortal Kombat is Ed Boon's game now. Tobias went to pursue other things. Despite the fact that MKDA seemed incomplete to me, he and his team did a decent job.
As for Noob, I do think that he will remain as 'Noob Saibot'. Overall, he's just a joke character anyway(who might finally get a serious turn in MKD). Then again, if he becomes "Noob Nedrof", then we know there was a falling out of some sort.

About Me
Lui Kang was a good start. Sonya would be a good next choice.

I have not looked at the article, but take this into consideration, the article has a limited amount of space. Boon could of very well mentioned John and it was edited out to save space or because it did not seem to important to the overall article.

Tobias also thought up the story. That's why some stories after he left are crap because Boon was trying to think of them. DA's wasn't that bad, I'm hoping Deception is at least up to par with DA, if not, better.

just to note why wasnt this thread moved to the general discussion board. Why makes rules if you cant inforce them.I dont mind whats he talking about but if you get on to other ppl about putting stuff in the wrong board then you should get mad or not mad but say something to everyone and closed it or move it to the right one.Just tring to be fair, cause its not right for you to let someone post in the wrong board but not let someone else do it.
see even i got away with it.

First, this belongs in General Discussion.
Second, do not judge character based on magazine interviews. Character is best judged by actually knowing a person, and seeing as how there are very few people in this forum that have met Mr. Boon, then I would say we are best not judging. Besides, he's given back to this community several times ... so thread closed.
