i dunno, i don't get you guys. if yaw are true fans you wouldn't have anything bad to say about any MK game. though the major shift was in MKDA with the 3 styles, yeah that was different but it doesn't mean it was bad... now i love that game. you could say you didn't like some characters but u don't have to say you don't like the games. i love all mk games and all to come. As for Tobias leaving. i'm not very familier why he even left. so i can't really comment on that, and the point to that is that i didn't notice any change in tha games. from beginning to end. All Good.

Here's my experience. This acts like a timeline.

Mortal Kombat- Awesome! Best game I know!!

Mortal Kombat II- HOLY SHIT!! These new characters rock!!

Mortal Kombat 3- YAY!! Sonya's back! Jax has metal arms!! Mutiple Cyborgs???

Ultimate MK 3- YES!! MORE CHARACTERS!! But what the fuck is up with all the damn ninjas!?

MK Trilogy- OH YEAH!! PLAY AS THE BOSSES!! EVERY CHARACTER!! (Faints)

Mortal Kombat 4/Gold- Man, screw this. This game blows.

By MK4 and MKG, I had COMPLETELY given up on MK. I stopped being a fan. Then it all came flooding back to me when I saw a little commercial in a darkened movie theater for DA.

Mortal Kombat DA- Brought me back into the series, made me love it more than ever, and I am a diehard SUPER FAN now!!

Mortal Kombat D- Speechless.....too great.

So as you can see, my opinion is it's far better and I'm glad Tobias is gone.

Im not sure if John Tobias' departure has been for the better or the worse, but it is obvious that things are different...

Just look at Ed & Johns most recent games...

MKDA and Tao Feng

Both had very good ideas, but fell a little short in execution. And the people that are saying Tao Feng sucked are being way too hard on the game. It had a lot of great ideas, brusing, clothes tearing, limb damage, stage damage, stage interaction, etc. Also the TF character designs were a lot better than MKDAs IMO.

I really wish Ed and John would get back together for MK7....
