I can't imagin anyone else really going well with him. Johnny Cage? Maybe, Kano? I don't see it, Havik? Yes!

Joker is very iconic.

I can see him developed into a great fighter to fit the game, that’s all he needs imo. As for Havik as his counterpart, I can certainly see why you’d see them like that, and they are probably the best choices.

Havik is a favorite of mine and one of the best new characters ever introduced in the story of MK.

But I don’t think this “character VS selections” should be based on that kind of things. While it would be awesome to see Joker and Havik battling, I can actually see the Joker against another villain, such as Mileena. I can see Joker against a hero, such as Sonya, and I can most definitely see him against someone like Sub-Zero, it’s a nice “contrast”.



I still think the Joker could work extremely well in MK.

He certainly suits the game more then the superheroes invasion, and he would be a most wicked addition as well. I can just picture his render...gives me the creeps. He could look fantastic gameplay wise, and his set of special moves could be quite fun, the “goofy” look of them clashes perfectly with the cruelty and violence they provide.

I see no problem of him being developed into a more prominent fighter. That’s why characters like him and Poison Ivy, imo, work well in this sense, despite some opinions thinking both shouldn’t be in the game.

i doubt havik would be in it, but i like the idea. the two biggest looneys from each universe would be a great match-up.

I want the Joker to be sick in this game, cruel and dark. Scary even like you said about his render. But I see what you mean about the Joker going up against a heroe. But if the MK team are going down the line matching people up as either foes or pals then Havik would be perfect.

Havik is more appropriate, but Kano is more likely to be in the game anyway. He's one of the MK1 characters. I guess he's "iconic".

Who doesn't want the Joker in this game? I think everyone universally agrees that he is a PERFECT fit.

Everyone had reservations about this crossover, particularly the role of the DC characters, but I still maintain that Batman and his rouge gallery are wonderful additions to the MK world. Joker (and hopefully Bane, Killer Croc, Two Face, or Poison Ivy) will own in this game!

Batman villains rule, the only superman villain I want is Bizzaro, oh and Cheetah from wonder woman, though catwoman and cheetah may be too simelar.

If there is anyone in the MK universe who counterparts the Joker, it's most definitely Havik. Now, I don't really like Havik personally... HOWEVER, I do think that he was definitely one of the most (if not the most) interesting of the new MK characters to be introduced in MKD. They'd be awesome counter parts, but I doubt if Havik will make the cut this time around.

Joker, on the other hand, has more than a good chance of making an appearance. He's Batman's most famous Rouge... not to mention easily one of the most (if not the most) popular and recognizable DC Villain. Plus, his psychotic personality makes him ideal for the MK world. (that and he is one funny bastard.. you know.. in a sick and disturbed kind of way.)

Funny, Batman seems to have the best rouge gallery of the DC characters. There are some other notable villains.. but his, in my opinion, stand out as some of the best villains of the DCU. ... well MOST of them anyway.

P.S. If Joker is in... They just HAVE to work Harley into his intros or win poses.

I don't see Havik making a return. He's not iconic to return. He sucked in Deception and I hated his story and background. Everything about this character sucked poorly and I hated the fact that his whole entire look was supposed to be an alternate costume for Noob. That would have made him look even more stupid... ehh... because he's a shadow and shadows aren't supposed to look like the undead creatures of the night.

I still have my doubts of seeing Joker in the game. Yeah, I know that he can do serious, but he's more of a comic relief character rather than a serious character seeing how this game is supposed to be going back to its darker roots. There's too many funny guys coming in I mean seriously the Flash... I'm seeing Cage entering this game becuase he's an original. But seriously, we don't need to be funny in this game and I doubt that this game is even going to feature anything funny anyways.

Yes, ice-baby, the joker is one of the most darkest disturbed characters in the comics.

Perhaps the 1960's Adam West Batman show didn't do him justice, but just google some pics of the joker.

Actually, originally Joker was a VERY dark character. It was only around the 1950s (the same time that Batman went campy) the Joker became more comical. The entire point of his existence is how twisted his sense of humor is, he doesn't laugh at what normal people find humorous.

His very first appearance had him announcing over the radio exactly who he intended to murder and where. This is in itself was funny to him. No gags, no jokes (unless you count the Joker Venom as a gag), he found the murders funny. By the time the Campy Batman had kicked in Joker had killed over 30 people in the comics themselves.

Joker's been regaining his old image since the late 70s, and fully regained it after what he did to Commissioner Gordon and his daughter Barbara (Batgirl).

Believe me, out of all possible DC characters that could make it into this game, Joker is THE darkest.

Joker shouldn't stand a chance against even someone as insignificant as Havik. It should be a total cakewalk for a more proficient and powerful fighter like Havik, but then, that's kinda the crux of Joker's "powers." He has a way of beating the odds.

The theme, while not entirely invalid, tends to play to a pretty simple, maybe even misguided interpretation of the Joker. There's always been an element of chaos, but more often than not the best interpretations have a lot more underlying behind the psychology of the character.
