more MKF bullshit. But it does make for a nice fantasy. I dont really think MK mixes well with most fighting games. I mean afterall you need special powers to compete in my. Most other games dont have nearly as many.

Also I hope its not streetfighter. To me that was when I saw Ric Flair vs Hulk Hogan a few years ago. It would have been nice in 80s or 90s but its a bit played now

However, HYPOTHETICALLY...

Mortal Kombat - Killer Instinct is the way to go. Tekken, DOA, VF, SF, and Soul Calibur are all popular franchises, yes. But none of those games come close to the coolness factor that MK has always had. Killer Instinct was/is the only rival as far as coolness, and it's 12-year-old game.

You could mix those 5 games with each other, and that may make sense. But MK and KI are alone on this one. You mix either MK or KI with any of those 5 games and you will have a HUGE discrepency in theme (in favor of MK/KI). MK and KI are too dark for the rest.

Besides, how would these games that are run by different companies be able to be implemented into one game? Who would actually create it? If it's somehow a "compilation" of previous games mixed together; how do you play two different fighting engines in a game?

ki cant croos with mk, or sf unless its a 2d game. the engines are way to diff for it to be ki, sf could do it, but one game would have to change the way the charatcers play, and it wont be sf. wow giving mk guys real, parry, dashs, frame rates, if it happens hope midway have zero to do with it, besdies the rights to there charatcer molds and logos.

If you read that thread, Midway actually had something to do with the KI arcade and I know that would be your dream game if KI was involved.

The reason why I don't believe it's WG's is because it said "another well known franchise" in the article, War God's not for nothing is not a well known game like say KI, SF or something.

If they do do it, that would be interesting but I'd rather have Midway/Capcom or Midway/Rare cook something up at this point personally.

They also didn't say anything about 3D or 2D so in a way I thought the same thing, I hope if they do do it, it winds up being 2D personally with parries etc. It won't happen without Midway's consent since MK is Midway.

midway had an arcade division, rare didnt.

all midway did was produce the arcade games for nintendo.

manufactured by midway.

the game was built in a midway dedicated arcade cabinet, thats why midways name is on the arcade version, and the cpu boards and roms were burned by midway. overall midway had zero to do with the programing and desgining of the game.

it wont be street fighter cause one side will have to compromise there engine.

this is midway we are talking about, they could actually believe that war gods was a big hit and a house hold name.

which in that case, it would be made by capcom, not midway, it would be a 2d game, and we could see cartoonish mk charatcers.

I know that but I never said Midway had anything to do with "the game" development, I just said they were involved when KI first came to the arcade, via the arcade division. Therefore there's that possibility of MK vs. KI

MK vs. KI possibly, plus KI has been dead now for quite a while if they involved MK it can only help them at this point. I know this might be a stretch to some but if they really wanted to, why not have MK8 vs. KI3 on an all new engine? You can't say this wouldn't be a bad idea since one franchise is literally dead at the moment and the other is in need of a new engine entirely...

Besides, the article never stated that Midway confirmed anything apparently if this rumor is leaking around someone else has to be interested in doing a crossover possibly so it's not just midway onesided idea if that's the case.

If there was ANY crossover MK fighter, then the most logical would be MK vs War Gods.

MK vs KI would be non existent, PERIOD. Rare, the creators of KI, were bought out by Microsoft back in 2002. Meaning that the only games they can make are ones revolving around Microsofts 360. I've seen a couple Nintendo DS games developed by Rare, but thats it. They have nothing to do with Nintendo, or Sony. Sad... MK vs KI would be very interesting.

Whoever thinks MK vs SF is in store is an idiot. Capcom doesn't wanna watch Ryu, Ken, ect get there heads, arms, and legs cut off. No gore in Street fighter games period.

I think it was Red or someone who said Unreal Championship. Well, if it is that makes sense. I think Raiden was in one of the unreal championship games. However, I dont think there should be a crossover period. MK has ENOUGH characters. Probably 3x as much as most fighters. So I think at this point they should work ONLY on the gameplay. The problem with MK isnt that there arent enough good matchups. Its that the matchups arent good when they happen. I wish MK looked and played like DOA4. I would only stop playing to eat, shit, work and have sex. I possibly might eliminate one of those to play more if that was the case. Now if MK played like any UFC game....well fellas I would probably die playing it and be a happy man.

No, not at all. Unreal Championship is a first person/3rd person game.

Midway though is now involved in the Unreal Series, UC and UT since Midway publish's them now.

And Raiden was only a secret characters in UC:The Liandri Conflict because by that time Midway bought them over as published that game, therefore they wanted to add "Raiden" with his Staff as a weapon for Unreal Championship:The Liandri Conflict. BTW, he was very good too I heard. I've played the game a few times but never enough to unlocked everyone.

i dont no, im asking... i no radien was in one of them... but i have never seen the game in real life. so if its a fps than its not that, even though the rumors of a mmorpg are still there also.

maybe they will show a clip of mk8 at the 07 gamers convention over seas. i think it starts soon, or it might have past last week, which means nothing was shown.


i still would say war gods, the game was great ( um yeah). but the charatcer designs were good.. ( um ok lil choppy) the character concepts were very good. and still to this days it had better fatals than any mk game ever.
