Since it's looking like (at least for part of it) Liu Kang's zombie form will be involved in MK:A's story, this leaves you to wonder what's going on: I mean we have two Liu Kangs out there now: One is a living corpse that is apparently bent on killing Shang Tsung while the other is his "spirit self" that last we saw was trying to stop his body and free his friends from Onaga's control with Ermac's help.
Here's an idea I had for Zombie Liu Kang:
Basically, Shang Tsung gets forced back into Shao Kahn's service so.. while Shang Tsung is (reluctantly) serving Shao Kahn, Zombie Liu attacks Shang Tsung. Shao Kahn sees this happening and takes an interest in Zombie Liu Kang... as he's kicking the crap out of Shang Tsung in front of him... hehe. But anyway... Shao Kahn eventually (after being amused at watching Shang Tsung get his ass kicked) knocks Zombie Liu out. (Can you knock out a zombie without... killing them? Though they are already dead but...)
Now while Shang Tsung just wants to destroy Liu Kang's corpse for good, but Shao Kahn thinks he can use Zombie Liu Kang... (much to Shang Tsung's objections, but hey... it's no secret that the two hate each other really) So anyway... Kitana and Sindel and perhaps a few others... (don't know who but just saying) are on their way for a final showdown with Shao Kahn.
Shao Kahn either brainwashes or convinces or persuades (I don't know... does it matter?) Zombie Liu to help him. So when Kitana shows up to fight Shao Kahn... he surprises her by sending in Zombie Liu to fight her...
Now THIS would be interesting... how would Kitana react to seeing the love of her life as an undead zombie? (This is assuming that she doesn't see Spirit Liu first) Would she be able to fight him? I mean while yes, he is an undead corspe, I can't imagine it would be easy for her to fight him one way or another.
...Now if I were to continue from that story development... I think I would actually have Zombie Liu Kang, while having murdered many of Liu Kang's Shaolin brothers and (apparently) wanting revenge on Shang Tsung, still retain (at least some) of Liu Kang's love for Kitana. So that during her fight with Shao Kahn, Zombie Liu actually saves her from being killed by Kahn. (Maybe something like at the end of Return of the Jedi or not.. I don't care...)
Anyway, this isn't me posting another storyline, it's really meant to be more of rhertorical question for everyone to discuss and post their opinions on. So go ahead.
