Well at the end of MK:DA Kano was resurrected by Liu Kang's soul, so, he might just come back.

why is is hated so much?

I WOULD LOVE FOR LIU KANG 2 COME BAK!!!!!!!

1. liu should stay dead
2. bringing him back would be a cop out and make me lose faith in the mk storyline
3.he is a boring character
4. dont ever ever mention liu kano again, that idea wont happen..it makes as much sense as kahn being reiko, drahmin and quan chi merging and scorpion being sub-zero's father

It won't matter to me. I'm neutral to the idea, I used to like Liu Kang but I haven't played as him for a long time so I lost my liking for that character.

I really hope he doesn't return. For one: I don't like him, never have. For another: If they were to ressurect him they will make his death a joke like Cage's and I think that cheapens characters. If you have killed them, let them stay dead. By this logic even one of my favorite characters, Mileena, should be dead. I love Mileena but if they killed her she should have remained dead.

^thats the graet thing about MK, anything could happend, thats why i like it, just like if they bring back sheeva or stryker, it would be great.

I don't see the problem with bringin him back.... another resurrection is not going to change the destiny of MK!!!
but personaly, I thibnk liu kang should go mthrough a major make-over...

i want him back with his normal moves (how can u hate the bicycle kick?) and a decent weapon, if they bring animalitys back let him have the dragon but give him some decent fatalities, an mk machine dropping on him is stupid

The only way I could even tolerate Liu Kang coming back is if he came back evil.

Otherwise, he's dead and keep him dead.

Liu Kang's character was played out by the time Mortal Kombat 3 hit. He's just not that interesting.

Liu Kangs cool, they really should bring him back, he sybolizes Mortal Kombat, all they would have to do really is change his voice to get people to stop bitching.
as for Johnny Cage now, he used to be cool, now he looks like a blow up doll they'll most likely change that graphic oops :/

No Liu Kang. At least not yet. It took guts for Midway to kill of its 2 main characters. It would be a bad idea for Kang to come back this soon. Midway should stick by its decision and fill the open hero/villian slots with different characters.

Liu should return in MK6, it's not MK without him. He should return in some form though.

i would hate it unless maybe shang tsung put his sould into liu kangs body if he was killed in MK:DA

I agree with you. If Liu was brought back in mkde then it would defeat the purpose of killing him in mkda. Mayby in mk7 if Midway can think of a good reason for bringing him back.

well i guess i would feel like i was playing a video game with Lui Kang in it.
I mean really guys. who cares.. sure i think its cool and all to keep the story as tight as possible. But in fantasy/scifi tv characters come back from the dead all the time.. its no big deal.

Make him evil for MK6. have his ending have something to do with him fighting his inner demons or what ever.. and then bring him back good for MK7.

HO would I feel if he came back? Erm...in a word...VIOLATED!!!! They killed him! He should stay dead. Even if Shang Tsung did die, I think Lius Soul would have moved disasppeared or moved on, not into Kano either that was lame in my opinion. Never bring him back. He sucked. His fatalities were crap, esp the Cartwheel kick thing and I got tired of the dragon eventually, and that bicyle kick was so friggin annoying.
