one thing people seem to be ignoring is the fact jade is the only one in the prison cells with a new outfit. the rest of the inprisoned fighters have old outfits. the reason? probably the same reason shang tsung is in the courtyard, the deadpool, etc... its for nostalgia and for the fans of the series. its just a background and likely does not indicate the fighters you cnn unlock. what are the odds reiko, fujin, kitana, hsu hao, stryker, drahmin, etc., are all playable along with jade? not good odds, imo.

Basically........they are just there for show they don't have a purpose as to ho is going to be in it and who is not. This is exactly what Midway wants from us to be confsed and argue about it so we want the game more to prove people wrong and to be shocked like "OOO he was right" and "wow that really did happen". But the people in the cells are random and are for show there aren't that many cells soo everytime you go back to the stage the people will have changed posititons.

I also think Boon or someone at midway might be one of us and hinting to things so who knows what is going on......ahhh the deception has come.

First, I want to thank everyone who helped providing the many pictures we have seen so far from the latest video revealing Hsu Hao. Thank you!

Now, people ARE really getting too confused. Like some said, don’t assume that ALL background characters will be playable, specially some obvious details.

Jade, is by far, the ONLY character who looks improved or revamp in the cells, with ac completely new look.

All the others look very old and with no improvement. But one thing might actually be certain, their presence must mean they are still alive, and that they will somehow play a role in this game or the next. Even if one or two get killed.

The facts here are, that Hsu Hao is there, alive, but with no red implant. Maybe Jax did finish Hsu Hao, but he might had never died.

EZ-E96 I thought the closest to a Latino/a was Tanya, because she looks Latina!!! I thought Hsu Hao didn't have a Latino features at all!!!! maybe because of his color of skin!

I think a few months ago all characters in the cells weren't meant to be playable.

Then...they had a change of heart re Jade and whacked her in. Furthermore they decided to put her in the cells and we the players must find the key to release her!

Now I still think the rest are there because they are unplayable (Is Fujin gone from the current pics anyone? If so, who else?). Having said that and with 2 months to go the developers could again have achange of heart with one or more of these characters and we may see them. It would be interesting to see no Stryker but some S.W.A.T. looking character in there (who realy is the revamped Stryker) when the game is finally released. If such a thing did happen we could be confident he made the cut afterall.

I tend to think the old models are unplayable not just because of that, but because of who hasn't been seen yet at all, eg Sektor.

With the exception of Jade, who's playable, and Fujin, I really hope there's an ending where all the imprisoned characters die horribly.

Aw fuck. It looks like it is the end for my two favourite characters, Stryker and Jarek. I mean, with just a bit of effort on Midway's behalf, they could've made some kickass characters out of two people that the fans just wouldn't accept. : (

Dont loose hope dude!

Mk7 has been confirmed already, and trust me, if characters like Tanya made it, characters people hated so much, you will see Stryker or maybe even Jarek again.

Hey maybe it`s not Reiko but Unmasked Rain - if that the prisoners are canon in game... The Warriors story would be more exciting (Rayden must save Fujin, Kabal want`s to kill Hsu Hao (or save Jarek), Sindel saves Kitana, Jade saves Rain,
Scorpion wants to kill Drahmin, and Someone wants to save Stryker) :D maybe new game mode Unprison mode :D

We never seen Rain without mask, so, I doubt seriously this is him... :/
