I totally agree with you on just about every aspect except for the fact of MKA being bad "on all fronts" it did have flaws but it was definitely wayy better then MKD was from a gameplay standpoint, that's a fact and at least they implemented the proper gaming mechanics like the wake up, parries etc that helped out.

MK:A is better but not by a lot. It is better due to the fact that it is not too 50/50 mix up orientated. However, MK:A has more infinite combos (and ridiculous combos in general that Check has come up with) than MK:D.

The rest I agree with. People need to shut up about Batman. That is hardly the problem.

Even from the trailer I can see that MK vs DC's fighting still looks jerky, and the animations are a little chunky, but maybe they'll put some time in to make sure that it works as a fighting game. They did learn things in MKA. Yeah, it was still broken, but nowhere near as much as MKD.

I don't have much faith in that "maybe" though, given their track record. It remains to be seen though.

The problem is that you can piss in the wind and chances are about 95% that it will land on an MK fan that has no clue what constitutes a fighting game.

It's unfortunate people aren't educated.

I'm not saying MKA is "perfect" no fighting game is, but saying that some of the reasons on why some fans hate it are just hilarious.

You're right about the more infinites, that's only due to the air kombat but I'm sure you'd agree with this on MKD's problems that they were wayyy easier to do and rely on "the flaws to get wins" you and I have both played tons online just for different consoles so I'm sure you know what I'm saying here

I'd love to see MKA without the "air kombat" that along would make the game so much better.

The one thing about this new game that I wonder about is if there will be some kind of jumping(not air kombat) but just some kind of flipping out of the way.

Time will tell.glasses

Of course the game is not perfect. In fact, the word "perfect" and MK:A should not even be used in the same sentence. MK:A is broken by today's fighting game standards. That is why no one besides the diehard MK fans play it.

I know casual fighter fans that play it, Tekken, DOA etc but those are also the same fans that like variety

The one thing about MK and SF unlike other fighters is that they're both very different, not strickly "martial arts" but specials, storyline, darkness, projectile attacks.

Some people like that as oppose to just punches and kicks all day.

While I don't think the crossover makes sense, that people need to lay off dissing DC. DC is one of the most respected entertainment companies in the world

Bill Gates created an empire with Microsoft, revolutionized the world of home computing and is worth billions. That doesn't mean we would want him in an MK crossover, though.

Although I'm quite pissed at this turn of events, I'm not about to go off the deep end and suddenly get rid of all my old MK merchandise. That just seems silly.

That's a ridiculous comparison.

DC is respected in the field of fantasy entertainment. Mortal Kombat isn't. Mortal Kombat, if anything is the McDonalds of Fighting Games.

DC is known for brilliant, thought provoking and *GASP* Dark stories like Return of the Dark Knight and Watchmen.

Now, I know a lot of you don't like the team up; hell I think it's a weird fit myself, but don't get on your MK high horses. If anything this is an honor for Scorpion and Sub-Zero to be on the same playing field as Batman or Superman.

The people who are complaining need to switch to no more tears shampoo; I'm tired of the incessant whining. I'm dissapointed too...but let's be honest.

There is NOWHERE LEFT for MK to go. And I'd rather have MK characters vs. DC characters than Scorpion and Sub-Zero fight new characters who are just crappy rip offs of old MK characters.

The MK storyline was building up beautifully in Deadly Alliance and Deception, and Armaggedon killed it. It has nowhere to go. It's DEAD.

That's why Midway gave it a fresh start, btw MK isn't the mcdonalds of fighters....because that would mean it's liked everywhere....since mcdonalds is international..

But far from the bottom, I'd give that award to KI and the false promises Rare keeps telling the fans on KI3. glasses

It doesn't matter new storyline, old...the same fans will still bitch til the cows come home
