Since MK2 is usually deemed the pinnacle of this franchise, it deserves mentioning that Sonya was nowhere in sight (well, that's not entirely true, but you get my point).
* Moral learned from this - Sonya is not a be all-end all character OR a catalyst to a more amazing iteration of this series.
I just don't understand what the big deal is with her. The only game where I thought she was better than usual was MK3, but other than that she does absolutely nothing for me.
She could possibly even be considered the "Stryker" of MK1.

Yeah I've got to vote A as well. I've never liked Sonya at all (but I do like Kerri Hoskins!
But seriously, she is boring to me, and is my least favorite female besides Sheeva.
The only time I liked Sonya as a charcter was in the first MK movie, where Bridgette Wilson did a good job portraying her (apart from the fighting!) with that 'attitude'. Honestly I wouldn't mind never seeing her again.
Her weapon in MKDA was kick-ass though...

Dont get me wrong tho Sonya ws a great character but she doesnt have much of a story anymore especially since it looks like Kano wont be in it. Sonya was a really good character in past MKs but her story just isn't what it used to be because basically if there isn't a story for Kano, there isnt a story for Sonya
