It surprises me to see there are so many Cyrax fans. Sonya is still the No1 SF agent and Cyrax next.

I would say... definitely NOT Sonya.

She owned in MK:DA. Great player. I loved her 2nd outfit. But you have to admit that of all good characters, her storylines have been very, very uninteresting: boring, predictable and stereotypical.

Jax on the other hand is probably, certainly in DA, the most underestimated comical character. His quest for vengeance on Hsu Hao is so grotesque, his appearance is so completely over the top that it becomes great again. Sonya is too dry! I wouldn't surprise me if she was dead in the next MK, like Liu Kang, who basically faced the same problem Sonya is facing now.

Someone once brought up the idea of Jax using Hsu Hao's heart implant after Sonya's death and slowly drifting away towards evil. That would be interesting!

I don't understand everyone's objections about having Kenshi and Ermac in one game. They are obviously in the game! Remember that there were two ice characters in DA as well.

About Cyrax: he is one of the few characters whose storyline could stand alone in DA. Too bad he was such a weak character to play with.

In short, I think Sonya needs a replacement, Jax needs an overhaul in terms of story and Cyrax needs one in terms of gameplay. Kenshi leaves me rather indifferent.

But if I had to choose: JAX and CYRAX!

Sorry, but I have to disagree. I would had agree with you about her story, but you didn’t make it sound valid, please, we have Kitana, Scorpion (my fave character), Cage, Rayden, Jax, Kung Lao, and others in the same place.

If Mk needs to kill their characters cause of their old stories then maybe they should just make a new game. ALL Of their stories were predictable.

I respect your opinion, but what you said was almost stated as “a fact”, when is just you opinion, I strongly disagree on Sonya being a dry character, or on Jax’s interesting quest for revenge, which ending was also predictable.

Yes, you're partially right as far as many of the classic characters are concerned. However, some of them are not so easy to replace: who could replace Kitana or Raiden? Fujin was never that popular, to name one example...

Oh and I agree on Johnny Cage. I have a theory to make his storyline interesting again but I couldn't come up with ways to make Sonya interesting again in terms of story.

The end of Jax' story was predictable but the cruelty had its comical effect. Jax is very tongue in cheek. I think/hope Midway intended him to be that way...

Well, if you actually think Sonya could be replaced, then any character could easily replace Kitana. (no offence to kitana fans! I think she is ok.)

About Sonya, she could be evil. I posted some ideas a long time ago, basing them on the official comics on how Shao Kahn managed to control Sonya and almost married her, this could had allowed Kahn to rule not only outworld, but also earth.

She could be controlled by the Dragon king in MKD, made evil, a spy and try to kill her friends, but the spell would be broken when she finally wins her inner-fight right after she kills Jax.

According to the comics: By marrying Sonya Blade, earths greatest female warrior, Shao Kahn will be allowed to enter and rule the earth realm, for such act as this wedding, is a brutal disturbance between the worlds.

Sonya would immediately become Queen of Outworld and Queen of Earth realm, this helps Kahn to CLAIM Earthrealm.

I'm with ya'll on Sonya; hell she's the only one that I care to see come back out of all of them. I think she is a MUST; I mean so far only Scorpion, Sub Zero, Liu Kang, and some form of Reptile are the only confirmed returning characters from the first MK.

My pick: Sonya and Cyrax (I'd like 2 see Cyrax turn evil again)! Also like 2 see Sonya with her windblade weapon in MKD (thought that was a pretty odd weapon; loved to grind people with it)

Oh I agree so much with your post!!! That weapon was wicked! I loved it so much in Mk4 and it has lots of potential.

And about Cyrax I agree! I want to see him evil again. Thats when I liked him best.

I say Jax an Sonya.Thats the team so thats who I would choose.Have Sektor kill Cyrax.Then Kira take out Kenshi.Then Sonya has a new Black Dragon

the sf thing is lame and needs to end. i would not cry if all of them are gone for good. it was ok in mk2 but by mk5 members like jax were horrendous.

I agree that there is no need to have so much members.

We must only keep Sonya and Jax as SF members.

Cyrax can go with sub-zero or be evil with sektor again, but be in debt with sonya and jax for saving him.

Kenshi could have a story change and be in eternal debt for sonya saving him.

If I had to pick two, Sonya and Kenshi. I've never liked Cyrax, and despise Jax's MKDA makeover. To be honest though, I'd not miss any of them if they were missed out/killed, and replaced by a better military type character.
