I'm no throw whore either but when some idiots standing half way across the screen blocking fanaticly for no reason after you combo him and you slowly walk up to him (all the while he's blocking) and throw whore him a few times he usually learns a good lesson. Going to your original post though... Cheese players. They are there, and will always be there. It's even more apparent now since there is a ranking system to go off of. If you don't like the fact that someone is going to throw the whole match, fucking fight cheese with cheese. Someone going to throw and you are using Sub-zero? Freeze his ass, and throw him instead. It's almost garanteed that if you fuck up a cheese player hard enough in one match, he won't continue for a rematch. Sure cheese players are annoying, but there are plenty of ways to get around them. This is why I rank under the 900reds. I'm not good, but I can definately fuck up a cheese player that comes my way.
My advice. Don't post if you don't want someone trashing your ass, and keep it to Deception Online. Get a headset, and talk all the trash you want to the cheese players.

Im not great but one thing I noticed is that most people falling for these tactics ARE the noobs not the skilled players. Get over it. Play some defense. Every move in the game has a counter. Play one person enough times and you'll notice the pattern. Break the pattern or get wooped MKD style. Just my 2 cents

There are things to help you against these attacks, like ducking and side-stepping. SO WHAT if some people do throws true people do abuse certain combos BUT if you are skilled then you would have no problem reversing the throws (DUH)
I get out of repeating combos a lot of times with my friends and EVERYTIME i get out i HIT them as soon as im free to attack but if you don't use special moves or throws then what is the fun in that?
You should use special moves they aren't cheap... a lot of times when i use Ermac's special moves ppl block it easily or raiden's ppl block it easily.... And you can't call some combos cheap till you have seen me play with noobsmoke, kabal, and jade But i dont like being cheap with them i DO fight fair but not in a cocky stupid way so go take ur 220 ppl in ur clan and all screw urselves...
It is ok to use throws and special moves so don't say "I am professional and skilled because I use a limited amount of moves..."

I can see why your angry. Everytime i play my friend on MKDA, he plays cheap as hell using fireballs and short combos.
In essence hes easy to beat cos of it, cos hes so damn predictable.

Yeah last night I was playing against some guy, and he was throwing a lot. So I just threw him right back. He was amused. It was all good.
One thing they should do though is make shorter throw animations. Honestly, that's the biggest problem I have with them. In old MK's, you'd get thrown and just be like "ooooh, ya got me!" then just carry on with the fight. But this "grab you, punch you in the stomach 3 times then toss you" crap is just disruptive, and a pain to sit through.

about your throw/combo/special rant: i NEVER throw, i don't care if i'm playing my little brother (who does nothing but throw) or the #1 guy online. i NEVER, EVER throw.
as for combos, if you don't use combos or call them cheap, then, i shall have to quote reginold (check zipperfish.com if you dont know what i'm talking about) "you--- are a fucking--- moron. thank you, thank you, thank, you" please. just because people can hit you with a 3-5 hit combo, you call it cheap, yet when you unleash a 10-12 hitter for 45-60% damage, that's perfectly legal. did you ever think that maybe certain players can't pull off those double stance change combos? of course not. you think just because you get nailed after being blocked or sidestepped with a 15-20% combo that it's cheap. if you're up against someone who can't do those lenghty combos, you should have no trouble mowing their ass into the ground (or meat grinder, or dead pool, etc.). no excuses.
here's where i differ from you, mr. righteous. i will be the first to tell you that i abuse ermac's specials. i do. this only applies to ermac, because his specials kick ass, but i do abuse them from time to time. there is nothing wrong with mystic bombing someone who is blocking from a whole screen away (U,D+3, D+3), or doing a TK slam (B,D,B,4) into a TK throw (F,B,2). to use them in combos? let me offer you a piece of info: once the 5th hit strikes, you can't add TK moves to the combo. why? because then you would have infinites, and lots of them. hado energy? (D,B,1) you want to criticize projectiles, OK. just keep in mind that all characters have them (except maybe noob-smoke, not sure cuz i never play as them), and that you will have to deal with them no matter what you're up against.
i bet your record is like 20-500 because you don't play any other way, you closed-minded little puss.

There is such a thing as predictability and adaptability. Sure.
BUT...I can see where some people are upset and righfully so with the simple to do infinites and crap that gets abused.
One with Shujinko is so damned easy to do, you only need to know how to do 2 specials and a sidestep in order to pull it off!!!
Bo Rai Cho has another where sidestep, special several times, and a standard move is all it takes to trap and infinite someone.
You can't combo break a special.
If it weren't for these infinites, I'd be a lot more happy going online and playing as it's frustrating to go in and see such crap being pulled and no way to stop it save to refuse or disconnect a match and I don't like to do that and haven't (thus far).
If they were only able to patch up these problems server side, then I'd be happy but odds are high they won't....Ah well. I'll just play people I know and that'll have to be it.

When I get a chance in SF or MK I throw the shit out of my opponent. If you let me throw, it's your fault. If they didnt want you to throw, then they would not have put throws in the freakin' game.
If you play MK2 against me and dont watch out, I throw just like the CPU (every chance I get) Hell, throws keep the turtles at bay....

I think MK deception is very good but there would be one thing that would make it better
the combo breaker is a great idea but you only get 3
a lot of the people that cheese i think often do it because online its really just a matter of who get s the biggest combo out first and who has used all there breakers

infinate combo breakers but it took timing to do them not just easily pressing a button and direction
on a side notte people do fight cheesy and thats ok if ithats what they want to do a good mortal kombat player should be able to fight any style and if needed you can always be as cheap as the person your fighting

In response to the person who wrote this thread, dude you are really a hypocrite! Go ahead and give you're opinion, but critcizing others because they have a specific yet different way of playing the game than you, just shows that you lack skill and also lack tact. It guys like you that really take the fun out of playing online. I use whatever i can to my advantage to beat my opponent, b/c its there for me to use it. Sure, I get frustrated when someone uses the same attacks over and over again, but hey it there for them to use, so why not let them use it. I just learn from what they used and then kick their asses the next time i play them. There's no rule on how to play. Konquest mode taught you how to duck, block, reverse and break attacks, obviously if you are a skilled player as you said you are (which I highly doubt from the thread), then you would know better to use them in such situations. You probably do the exactly same thing everyone else is doing only you say you don't use the same technique over and over, but you use combos to win, what that saying about you??? You probably use the same character over and over again, and yet you judge everyone else???? Then, you have the nerve to cuss out everyone who give you a piece of their mind on your thread, what site are you on??? If you really had the skill, then you would'nt have wasted your time and everyone else's time writing up this thread. So far, the only one whose CHEESE, is You!!!
