I would much rather have had Sonya, Kung Lao or Johnny Cage, but if he ends up looking serious and/or cool (like in MK2) I definitely won't mind having him in the game. The reason I don't like him that much in MKDA is that it's just so hard to take him seriously. In MK2 he was one of my favourite characters, and was really cool, but as of MKDA, he's become more of a joke character.
Anwyay, I hope he gets new fighting styles. Muay Thai was alright for him (although it looked nothing like Muay Thai to me), but he definitely needs to lose the Judo style. Not only was it extremely badly implemented (uppercuts and roundhouse kicks?!), but IMO judo doesn't fit Jax at all. He definitely seems like more of a boxing/kickboxing type of character to me.

Considering that Jax and Sonya have essentially the same story line, I much rather would have seen Sonya make a come back than Jax.

Well, it does not come as a big shock since he is one of Ed Boon Fave characters. Also, he was the FIRST character they used in DECEPTIOM but he was later out of the project.

Im glad they considered him but hey, like everyone else, I rather have SONYA then the big guy. She is so much better in everyway possible!

OH!!! The JAX I most DISLIKED was the one of Mk2. He was better in Mk3 (metal arms kick ass) and I actually got to liked him a lot more in MKDA.

I just hope they dont exagerate his arms. BUt he must keep the metal.

if im not mistaken and my eyes dont decieve me if you look on the "fataliy" video subzeros fatality seems to be performed on jax...i happened to pause the video right where sub zero begins the ice summoning thing and the opponent seems to be a dark skinned figure with white looking arms then as the video progresses to the point of actually freezing you see read boots and if that is jax the only thing i noticed was no baret

How the hell did Jax get in over far better, far more important characters like Kung Lao, Quan Chi and quite a few others I could list. After his stupid MKDA makeover, I lost any respect for the character, and would have even preffered Hsu Hao or Mokap over him. Jax turned into the worst fighting game black man stereotype since Balrog.

Hopefully he'll just be used as the Drgaon King's whipping boy, and be killed off afterwards. Where are Jade and Kai when you need decent, non stereotypical black characters?

There's not that many black people in the MK series, I'm glad that he's in the game representing. Besides Jax is the most deisel character out of the MK series. I'm glad Jax is back.

I'm very happy Jax is in. I think its time Jax got outta Sonya's shadow and got his own storyline. As long as he doesn't have the yellow and black gangsta attire I'll be happy. I do like the metal arms though. Hopefully his model will be based on the MK4 model. The way they designed the Jax MK4 model was pretty cool. Maybe he'll have his MK: Annihilation attire. That looked pretty cool(Black pants, sleveless black jacket, just take away the ganster attitude)

Although Jax had some of his old characteristics and was a decent fight in MKDA, I think he got way too much of a makeover too. I think they realize though how important their personalites and characteristics they created in the past are and have made more efforts to keep them intact now but still improve.

I believe when we see JAX this time around, you'll probably be saying awww yeahhhh!

Ironically, characters that people did not want back are suddenly returning. Just look at Lui Kang, Nightwolf, and now Jax. I am not happy with Jax's return. I think he already served his purpose in MK long enough.

Only a million times. I know what a "gangsta" attitude when I see it. There was nothin' gangsta about Jax in MK:DA. First of all Jax's primary costume is a military-like suit. Jax's alternate costume is so 1980's (which I personaly like.). I seriously don't know why everybody on MK forums keeps on bitchin' and complainin' about Jax's "gangster" attitude. He never had one in the first fuckin' place. You know if they did have a black gangsta in the MK series I would be glad.

i dont like jax, i dont know how they chose him over sonya! and even kitana. There are so many other great characters. Why jax? He is just a SONYA sidekick, who cares about him.
