I wouldn't mind having Jax back if he looks more like he did in MK2 & 3 and gets new fighting styles. He just looked ridiculous in DA and his fighting styles sucked. How can you have Judo as a fighting style with only 2 throws? Hopefully, they've reworked the throwing system for Deception.

No I'm not happy, I have never liked him, I would like to see a better character like Quan Chi or Sonya instead...but what can I do?

I agree, Jax's storyline is just a co-dependent storyline. It's boring, and I hated his character design in MK:DA.


He resembled more of a cartoon character than he did a kombatant. He resembled the Bo Jackson cartoon drawing, from that old saturday morning cartoon, that featured Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, and Bo Jackson playing superheroes.

I'm happy Jax is back and since all the characters are getting their old special moves back Jax will surely get his multi-slam move.Jax is gonna kick ass.

Personally not convinced he really is. I have a strong feeling that statement is incorrect.

If I am wrong and he is in, I don't mind if he is changed considerably from MKDA.

When and where was he comfirmed? I like him from the 2D days, but he wasn't such a good character in Deadly Alliance. His character design was laughable, and his moves weren't that great.

I'm not heavily into stories, so I can't speak on that... but please don't bring him back if he's not upgraded to look more like a MK konbatant.

Jax has always seemed, to me at least, to be nothing more than the stereotype character needed so no lawsuits are set out. His character never struck me as anything unique or DECENT to the series. He was just the typical "big, strong guy", who just happened to be black, and judging from his MK3 fatalities, an afterthought. Like previously said here, he just seems like a character that they say "well, Sonya does this, this, this, and this, and, oh yeah, we have Jax, too. Well, he can do that instead of Sonya". He adds NOTHING else, and will never be a benifitial character without her. Kinda like how Hsu Hao will NEVER be anything without Mavado, but that's not saying much, since they, too, are terrible designs!

Jax is nothing more than Sonya's bitch. He was OK in MK2 but nothing special after that. I'm unhappy that he is returning, I was hoping that he actually died in MKDA.

Nah, Im not happy Jax is back. I would of rather had another MKDA character, or another classic character. But he may be changed from his MKDA appearance, so I wont jump to conclusions.

I am very happy that hes back. I do, however, think that he needs some improvement from MKDA since being black myself I know that it is not always cool to be stereotyped.

Can't say Iam to happy to see him back. Iam tired of lookin at him plus he has sucked the past few MK games. Figured though they need a Special Ops cause of the new Black Dragon female. If he went back to his old look w/o his metal arms then I may change my mind. I would of rather has Sonya then him but at least Raiden is in the game.
