I hope not. It'd suck if this new Ashrah character that we've had so much hype about only turne dout to be Sonya in disguise. And I think Sonya fans'd be disappointed that she was was in it, but not really in it.
Hopefully, Ashrah and all the new characters will be their own characters with their own uniques moves and stories.

Hey man. Im am pretty sure her hair is black. I have seen it in numerous screenshots. But I could be wrong. And I did see the vid, but I didnt notice any blonde. Ill go check again soon. Of course, the quality is terrible, so itll be hard to really make it out.

First let me say that I think that Sonya becoming a demon huntress and leaving the Special Forces to do so would probably be a very cool thing to happen to her character, to revitalize her....

Second...MKF....You were right, I'm going to kill you!! Asharah cannot be Sonya! First I've been looking forward to Ashrah as a new and unique character, Now you know there is probably no bigger Sonya fan than me (accept maybe Queve, ) And I would absolutley love it if she were back. But not this way. Also I would not find it amusing in the least if Sonya were to suddenly take up an interest in funny hats! A good theory, but so flawed my friend.

fighting styles don't mean much... specailly at this stage..... and the voice thing... well everybody has the same voice these days lol... i was hoping they would make more unique sounds for mkd but don'est look like it.... and she has black hair in a lil bun behind her..... and to me she even looks lil darker skinned like tanya's coloring..... but definately black hair....

I don't think so. It's a possibility but I don't see Sonya suddenly become a demon hunter all of a sudden. Plus, I don't see her leaving the special forces so suddenly. The outfit is not very Sonya and neither is the hat!

Sometimes I think you people think too hard about these kind of things-- screaming soundclips that resemble another character means nothing, there are other explnations that would probaly make more sense such as reusing sonya's scream until her personal one is developed or the same person who did Sonya's did Ashrah's scream are 2 that I can pick up right away.

i don't think it's sonya... i dont' mind if sonya comes back... but she needs to come back as herself... but this isn't sonya...... if it's anybody old it looks more like kitana to me....

Hey MKF, That picture proves it...She does NOT have blonde hair...It's black just like in previous pics...The Veil or whatever it is, makes it look lighter.

4. practically all women share the same voice. all the men in the trialer sounded indentical, that doesnt mean they're the same character
5.she became a general, and how can she be under cover if her face isnt covered? sure her face isnt readily shown under her hat but it was be too difficult to look under it, like if she got knocked down or something. + thats a really bad cover. like if she was completely covered up and was pretending to be a dude (she'd have to cover her chest realy well lol) then THAT would be a good cover.
