They did something few other MK characters ever could:
- make normal people realise how uncreative and lazy the MK Team are
- make normal people see that the MK team visits this website regularly and listens to noobs who love developing 'cult' followings for last-minute half assed characters

First off, they are not like Jarek,Reiko,Tanya,Shujinko and all those other rip offs. If you even played MKT, you can automaticly tell that they were created to copy others moves, so they weren't half assed or lazly made. They were made to do that. And you guys just keep bringing up moves, lets talk about their actuall story, in that case i mean Khameleon's.

Ok I have tried to stay out of this,but I just can't. First off when I first got armageddon I took nearly every characterthrough practice mode. When it came time for Chameleon I was very disappointed. Not because I felt like he needed to be better,but that he was in there at all. I did not understand why he needed to be included. Let me start first with his MK Trilogy incarnation. Although many fans want to give the MK team credit for his existance the fact of the matter is he is the brain child of the home developer Avalanche. Much like Eurocom wanted to include a self made fighter into MK Gold. Anyways all you had to do was imput the human smoke code from UMK3 while playing as any male ninja then poof your are Chameleon. Well needless to say I was very let down in many ways. First off I could have picked Shang Tsung and gained the same effect. Further more picking Shang tsung is better because the morphing is better. The reason I say this is because. Lets say you are mimicing Reptile then you blink to switch to another ninja,but you just stay Reptile. what i am tryiing to get at is that sense the morph was random you would sometimes be the same character for five blinks before you change to a diffrent one. So Shang Tsung is in effect better and makes Chameleon useless. So now you fast foward to Armageddon. Shang Tsung cannot morph because of hardware limitations. So now would really have been Chameleon's time to shine except the MK team is not fond of him regardless of what they say. i mean they never planed for him to be in the game with all of their characters and why should he be there. I mean that would be like them adding the EGM april fools day character Nimbus or the MK2 joke Hornbuckle(I have just had a brief chill because now I know someone will demand them and claim to be their biggest fan) Armageddon's roster was not complete for a while when Motoro was not in the roster,but then some people were pissed cause a joke skin from MK4 was not in the game and rather than hear bitching for the next two years they put Meat in. People complain that he does not have a story,but come on he was a joke skin for other fighters. What do you want? Something along the writings of Socrotes when it comes to Meat's story. Come on people. Then people started complaining about Chameleon. I f I remember correctly after all the "fan" complaints the MK team had about four weeks to complete him before the game was to be pressed. So now they are under the gun to make a character that they didn't want in the game in the first place. Get moves for him,create a look,and story that makes sense. The best part was that when people played the game and the team gave they the characters that made the roster feel"complete" people still bitched that Khameleon was not there,and it still was not a "complete" roster. So now when the WII version comes out I wonder what will be wrong with the roster then. I guess that because they did not include a Star Mask guard as a fighter(if you don't know what that is shame on you) people will bitch(Oh god there is that chill again).Bottom line a complete armageddon roster is everyone from MK1,2,3,UMK3,4,DA,and Deception. I say that because as we can all plainly see the home versions up until Deadly Alliance are responsible for adding bullshit jokes that we are now forced to have a serious fighters because some "fans" just don't get it. On a side note I have been seeing quite a few people say that Kha and Cha are siblings and that they are future of their race. Wake Up and smell the incest. I guess thats why they had to pull Reptile into their shitty stories. As if that cold blooded bastard dosen't have enough on his plate already. Oh and by the way all my feelings on Cha apply to Kha aswell

Anyways, To the question Chameleon and Khameleon... WHY? I say Chameleon and Khameleon... WHY NOT? Oh yeah.

To be honest, yes they are palette swap ninjas, but then again half the bloody cast are palette swap ninjas. Hell, Reiko and Havik were at one time Noob Saibot.

Yes they are insignificant characters but so are Meat and Mokap. Its not like Midway had run out of fighting styles for them to have.

And they almost certainly knew that when they said "every single character to have thrown a punch in MK would be playable" the fans would come in from the light and gather at their monitors and think their beloved characters would be coming back from their 32/64 bit prisons.

Its called fan wankery ladies and gentlemen. Nothing more nothing less.

This is what I have been talking about for the past couple of months I have been back nothing I say is taken seriously. Some of you come in here and make post that any fourth grander could make,and squabble like little babies over nothing. I try and bring in some well thought out post and I get nothing but "Paragraphs" or "poor man.....hugs". I am honestly sick and tired of this bullshit. This site is nothing like it used to be. Before Deception came out this community was so open minded. Everyone listened and things were handled with dignity and respect. I just cannot belive the people that are here now. There are a still a few people here that I respect to the fullest,but some of you make me sick. I see so many assholes with high ranks running around here like their shit don't stink. Look people just cause you paid 20 bucks for a flawless account and got a higher rank does,'t mean youu actually deserved it. It is just sad that when a four year old comes on here and says "Me like Khameleon Boon is poo poo head" is taken seriously,but a very good thought is just looked over. Look at it this way, Chameleon is a male representing the male ninjas, Khameleon is a female representing the female ninjas. They have had that gimmick since Trilogy. They have also had similiar appearances since then. Why the hell would it change now? Nostalgia is a major reason of why this game is so freakin' awesome (Kreate a Fatality aside), and I'm glad K/Chameleon don't have an original look. After all did they start off as original characters with their own look and set of moves? No.

I wasn't expecting them to be these epic original awesome characters, Midway is predictable like that. And to be honest I'm totally satisfied with K/Chameleon, nostalgia like that reminds you of the old days of Mortal Kombat.

Now seriously fuckers, quit bitching about K/Chameleon, go outside and worry about the bigger things in life, like why your life sucks.

Chameleon and Khameleon ARE important to the storyline, believe it or not. What this thread should be about is how characters like Stryker or Jarek, and THEIR significance to the over all Mk storyline. Yeah. C/Khameleon are half-ass characters, made with no creative energy whatsoever. But w/out them, There would be no hope for their race, this is a part of the MK storyline that has yet to be explored further, What realm they come from and so on.

My answer:absolutely not;it's a copycat character,with useness background story.He's old,he have crap sound effect(like voice or scream),and he is the greatest Midway failure:they give hi the important role of protagounist in MK Deception/Unchained,and he's now among the most hated by fans.Shujinko have a storyline,decent storyline,but it seems not to be enough for him.

My answer:i agree with you girl,but unluckly(and please not use aggressive tone against me) Shujinko and Chameleon are the same thing.
They have a pretty different appearance,but both of them are copycat/move-stealer;the maximum of unoriginality.
At least Shujinko have a storyline,Chameleon haven't one until Midway wil post his Bio.

a different thing is Khameleon:she's a pretty good characters,with a decent storyline,with her own stage(do you remeber the sar bridge for N64?) and her own intro,ending and renders.
She's a TRUE character to me.
However Midway make a huge mistake to give her a look too similar to Chameleon.
as someone said it's better have 15 or 20 charctaers,with different moves,winning pose,apperances,animations and similar.
so Khamleon is a serious character but it's unoriginal,Shujinko and Chameleon are useless characters

The C/Khameleons may not be the most original kharacters around, without having much of a backstory and stealin other ninjas moves. They aren't as boring as say.....Dhramin.

Khameleon and Chameleon are in the game because they are characters in the MK fighting universe. Just like the other 61 characters. Nuff said.

Stuff Khameleon she's a waste of space on the character select screen, if they must add a new character for wii they should have added Ninja smoke he was outstanding and he had a story (kind of) but were does it end? would they have added "unamed scary guy often referred to as monster" from MKD Konquest if the fans demanded it? its funny that everyone has komplained about the " 'meleons" just because they have no special moves of their own (in MKA anyway) but not shujinko, sure he had a storyline and the others had none or very little but its the same principle and so the point of this post is long live chameleon, death to shujinko.

I wouldn't mind having both, but not much of a biggie.

I think 'everyone who's thrown a punch' meant every character that has been selectable at one point.

here is my opiton they should have kept the male chameleon and get red of the female cause i never seen the female one only on n64 but she sucked

Well, personally in MKT they both sucked seriously lol.But lets face it Khameleon unlike Chameleon actually does have a storyline(well Chameleon does NOW but it's hardly important)

Gameplay wise, I haven't got the wii version yet but from the looks of things I'd say Chameleon is a better character but we'll see.

Lookwise they both look badass in their own way, it would be funny if later on they revealed that they're related some how.Personally I think that would be awesome(should they show up or get mentioned again after MKA)

MKA could have done without them but between certain fans bitching for them, Midway saying "every character" from every MK fighter will be in MKA and the fact that MKA goes out with a bang before MK8, Midway probably figured what the hell.Let's put in both versions, since Wii isn't online ready lets put in Khameleon.

Personally, I don't see the big deal either way.If they weren't in MKA, I wouldn't lose sleep, since they are in it's only more characters to use perhaps so how is that a bad thing?

Let it go already for the haters or what not..If I had a quarter for every "Khameleon" or "Chameleon" thread I'd be rich by now lol.
