For one, Khameleon is an important plot device connected to Reptile, and perhaps Chameleon. Her existance primarily affects the fate of their race, the Zaterreans/Raptors (whichever you prefer). If she does not come about, there will be no more future "Reptiles."

Meanwhile, Chameleon is a worthless crock of shit. lol

But if you are just noticing these characters now, they were created a long time ago, at the time MKT came out, which was 10 years ago - they're nothing new.

They are just as much of a joke as Mokap and Meat in my opinion - very little established storyline, generic looks, copycat moves, and not the best of fighters. Until something happens to make them more important to the game (more likely for Khameleon), I consider them nothing more than an extra fighter or two.

Basicly Khameleon had a story, and Chameleon didn't. Many fans were upset since only Chameleon, who had no plot, got chosen over Khameleon in Midway's C/Khameleon choice. Khameleon had loose ends to tie up with Reptile and such.

So to comply to fan feedback Midway has included her in the Wii version. Hopefully they give her a relevent ending and not one like Chameleon, Kintaro, Jarek.....

To Professor Ahhnka: I like 'Meleons but they WERE introduced as joke characters. Think about it, they look exactly like their female and male counterparts and switch colors so that they can emulate all of them. They were put in Trilogy to poke fun at the palette-swap thing Midway had going on. Khameleon was just lucky enough to have a legitimate storyline behind her. Really, Meat and Mokap are just as important as the ninjas or, if anything, are more important because Mokap appeared in Deception's Konquest and Meat was someone that Midway knew they were going to put in Armagedon before they even started the game wheras the 'Meleons made no Konquest appearances and weren't even going to be in Armagedon until fans complained about it.

To Digital Assassin: Again, the 'Meleons weren't meant to hightlight MK's creativity. The only reason they're in Armagedon is to include everyone in this one game. They look, fight, and act the way they do simply as a throwback to those precious "old days" that you miss so much and were created in the first place as jokes, not to be taken seriously.

I myself like Cha and Kha meleon and am a proponent of their inclusion in Armagedon simply based on the fact that the MK team said everyone was going to be this game. I also think they look pretty kool. The invisible skin syncs up nicely with their names and gives them a bit of an identity as is the case with all of the other ninjas and ninjettes when they were brought into real 3D (A trait that is actually counter-productive for these two...) and I love how they wear costumes that reference their old appearances (One of the few occassions that I mark out for nostalgia.).

They both look like spermotozoids. Bad idea.

They are both wastes of space. There was just a bunch of stupid rant going on on them not being there... like Tremor... and Hurnbuckle. Characters that do not actually do shit. I myself wouldn't have brought such worthless things as Mokap or Striker, even if Stryker kinda got half-okay.
It's not like the creators actually cared for them... Just too much worthless ranting for anything. They were brought back for the n00bs.

in MKT, they were secret characters, both Khameleon and Chameleon...I suspect that they made a mistake on Chameleon that they didn't replace the "C" with a "K" so then it was too late and they needed to make another one with similarities and as such...that was then they created Khameleon.

Still, in my opinion, the two suck, like they can't produce their own specials, and they need to mimic the ninjas. But still, it is just my small opinion.

To "ProfessorAhnka": They've always been "paper-weight characters". Very last minute additions to the game as sort of a fun thing for fans to find. Like "super-secrets" in the game. Never meant as "serious" characters.

The question is...can those two do what Ermac did?. He was another "error", but he became a serious character. Based on fan reception...I wouldn't count on C/Khameleon ever becoming more than what they were intended initially.

Even in MkA they were "last minute additions, put there to appease fans". As far as thier "niche", I see what you mean....but without purpose....with-out relavant story-lines and indiviuality through moves and so on. They're just useless to the game. Besides that other characters on the "official roster" have had copied moves and looks dating way back to M1-T. "All the ninjas and cyborgs"...ect

It's boring to keep doing that. Pallete Swaps, Copied Moves ect...

hey, thanx for expresssing ur opinion in a cool way predetor, i agree, they are just in MKA for fans sake. But that dosen't mean they are joke characters like ignorant people like to claim. And all we can do is wait.....they need a chance, a story, and hopefully we'll get to see their bios and they be good, that'll (hopefully) shut the haters up. And that is their nitch, but i agree, it wouldn't hurt for them to have one or two new moves along with ones from the other characters. I just think that after all these other copy cats have came, Reiko,Jarek and ect. That people are getting sick of it. But even if Khamel and Chamel don't get a bio because midway stops posting the bios, we shouldn't be angry at the characters. But i think Khameleon can become a serious character and hopefully chamel as well. And they look great in MKA. Many reptile fans like Khameleon thanx to her great story, her story is cool and serious. Lets hope boon continues that cool story for MKA. PS. And i know all ther other characters did share each others costumes and stuff, but chamel and khamel were supposed to be the ultimate combonation

Two characters who originally used the same actor, and the same sprites, in the same game...

And they were ninjas in a martial arts game, no less...

The only way they could be less original is if Scorpion had been red instead of Yellow...
