I reckon that because this could be considered the new version of Trilogy, they're basically going to mimic Trilogy. I wouldn't be too surprised if Chameleon isn't in the Wii version of the game...

And if we use this logic, how do you describe Meat or Mokap even existing on this roster? Two cheese characters who while I don't mind their presence on the roster....but should in no way prohibit REAL characters who actually have potential and open story angles.


There's no real answer you can give to this claim....you cannot tell me that Meat has a really intriguing storyline, yet Khameleon doesn't...just a little too quick to defend Midway and Boon in this case.

To me, adding Meat and Mokap were overdoing it a little...since they really had no serious additions to the MK story....but Khameleon could...just stupid...there's no answer Midway can give to justify this....and Khameleon shouldn't be available on ANY platform.


Midways ONLY way out, is that they say Chameleon and Khameleon were and always have been one in the same (a probable revelation in Chameleons ending) and can change appearances at will. That will probably happen now 1) to answer the outcry and rage of the fans and 2) so they can actually boast about having EVERY MK character ever, in this fighting game...and NOT be lying...

i'm telling u, she's gonna be a super unlockable. too many things speak for it. why would they put meat, mokap and chameleon in.chameleon didn't even have a story line. and if they say, they have every character in the game and even put motaro in without his hind legs. i recall khameleon being in i think 1-2 games, and she has a sotry line, meat and chameleon don't!plus she had a unique color for her self, which is black and gray, which no female character has.
mk also talks about reptile and khameleon. and if they don't put her in, mk just keeps gettin worse. cage and sonya dont have their signature moves, there's only gonna be arcade, vs,and practice. i mean this game has massive kontent none the less, but how long would it take to put in khameleon, 1-2 weeks, i'm telling u she's a super unlockable, ed boon wouldn't fuck us over like that

In my desperate attempt to somehow fit Khameleon into the game storyline wise at least (I am an anal completist), I have formulated 3 hopeful theories (but if the Midway team has shown us ANYTHING, is that they don't care and they won't put her in :'( ).

Theory 1 - super onlockable (I hate that word too after MK Deception, but I'm praying that that's an option!)

Theory 2 - Chameleon and Khameleon are the same person (at least she'd be in it storyline wise, or maybe as an alternate costume)

Theory 3 - Li Mei is Khameleon (I know that this may SOUND like bullshit, but there were a few people who were right about Nood Saibot being Classic Sub-Zero). Since Zaterra has been destroyed it makes sense that Khameleon could've been living in Outworld; Li Mei is from Outworld. Khameleon could've been hiding from Shao Kahn by posing as Li Mei (they never did explain how Khameleon went undetected for so long, and we know that Saurions can change their appearance). Li Mei shows proficiency with Sais, and in some early screenshots of MK:D we see her using Kitana's fans (maybe this was an idea already at the time of that screenshot for the MK team). And to top it off, Li Mei's ending had her marrying the Dragon King who was A) anti-Shao Kahn (like Khameleon), and B) Kinda in Reptile's body.

Again, I'm keeping my fingers crossed, hope for this is what's keeping me out of depression over the possibility of a Khameleon-less MK:Armageddon.

Mokap and Meat are in, but Khameleon isn't. Hell Chameleon KIND OF had a story. Khameleon was the single most developed minor character Midway had to work with, and they decided not to include her. Which means now we'll probably get yet another uninspired, boring character put in her place since there's still 2 unmentioned characters. Taven and Daegon and almost all the new characters from MK4 and on are stupid and boring, flat characters. We get a chance to actually throw some intrigue into Reptile's plot and it's ruined. Now Reptile is going to turn into a little bitch all over again, and an interesting, popular character is ditched. Fucking fantastic.

Even if you don't like Khameleon, you have to agree it's an idiodic decision.

I don't care about playing as Khameleon as much as I care about Khameleon's place in Mortal Kombat.

If she isn't in MK:A, and this really is the end for more than 50+ of the characters that means there is NO chance of ever seeing Reptile’s off spring in a game. No Khameleon means no race! Reptile’s story hinged on mating with Khameleon and continuing their species.

I don't want to complain, but the reason I didn't quit Mortal Kombat altoghter after playing Shalion Monks was the promise of seeing EVERY character come together for one final fight! I thought "No way! Look at Shalion Monks! There's no way their going to keep their promise." low and behold it seemed like they did! I was super excited! Finally a Mortal Kombat that delivered what it set out to do!

I shouldn't have got cocky. I know it's just one tiny character that never mattered till now, but it's one tiny character that keeps them an inch away from full filling this games “Mission Statement.”

Maybe her story will be resolved and everything will work out. She's not like Tremor who wouldn't have done anything if not included. If she isn't included in some form or fashion it'll ruin the first promise of the game, and even worst it'll be ruined by a very small thing that could have easily been addressed.
