it could be simply no one has found kham, or, the file is related to something else that ahs nothing to do with the character you expect it to be.
like mkt files are named "indian, ketchup, mustard" etc.

I dont see why she wouldn't be in MKA, the fact are she is a canon character, she is referenced in the game by bios and dialogue, has a valid bio herself along with an ending. As i said before just because her only appearance was as a secret character doesn't make her any lesser of a character. Infact like i said her status as a hidden character is perfect because of her storyline. She's in the background hidden from khan and his minons who want to kill her so she can't reveal the truth to reptile. If she was a normal character that would spoil her persona as this mysterious person who is rumored. Her whole story revolves around her being hidden, undercover, indisguise and trying to get to reptile.
In MKA she should definately be a hidden character for that reason and plus because i dont know about everyone else but i miss the hidden characters....And I'm not talking about unlocking I mean hidden like human smoke was selectable by picking robot smoke and holding down certain buttons. It was awesome to be ready to fight and all of a sudden your character poofs into someone else or have the selection icon rotate and reveal someone else. I think MK replaced that feature with the unlocking feature so you knew exactly how many people there are instead of searching and being surprised.
all in all you can't deny that she is a real character and was a more serious character than others like Mokap or blaze...although blaze seems to be taking on a more serious role i think...Everyone who made an appearance is selectable even the one timers like stryker, motaro, sheeva, rain, jarek and so on and some of them had crappier storylines than Khameleon.
In fact i believe Khameleon wont ever be released rendered. If the Midway team does release it then it would spoil everything. Khameleon as a surprise would be awesome mainly because of two things. story purpose she is vital to closing out reptiles story....the team said they want to tie off all loose ends so its only logical she will be playable. Secondly her being re-designed has GREAT, i repeat, GREAT potential.
All i have to say is that people who still cry out ninja ninja ninja!!!! Pallette swap pallette swap pallette swap!!!!! Obviously doesnt appreciate the redesigning that has seperated the age ol pallette swap and are stuck in the past.
Like i said before i would play with a re-designed unique looking character that ORIGINALLY started as a pallette swap but is now completely different with different moves than with a new fighter who is simply a clone and rips off of other trashed characters moves and styles anyday.

The fact that he is translucent, and has the same powers as Khameleon (only with the males). Those are two big tip-offs right there.

Yeah, I have to agree with Milsar (OR IZ DAT MILRAS LOL) on this one because as we know Midway were very uncreative in the naming of many characters in Mortal Kombat. Chameleon, Reptile and Sub-Zero are just some examples.
I've always found it strange when people ask for or refer to a "Human Reptile" when he's never been human. He was a reptile from the beginning people.

He is probably a saurian but nobody knows for sure. He is a palatte swap character so we dont know what he really looks like. As far as I know Chameleon could be another reptllian race that historically feuded with the Saurian race and sided with Shao Kahn to eliminate Reptile and Khameleon. As far as Im concerned his powers mean nothing; he was a random morph character; which is a gameplay issue not a storyline issue, if Chameleon were to come back again I doubt he would have all the ninjas powers; he would be given his own identity and new set of moves like Reptile getting his own personality in MK2 after MK1. As for the name; it means nothing either; they wanted 2 different K/Chameleon's to seperate the 2 versions of MK Trilogy.
Reptile is portrayed as a human in MK1 through MKT but it wasnt because he looks like a human, its because game consoles have memory limitations and palatte swapping is the only way to squeaze in so many fighters. I find it stupid that people dont realize this and ask for the human Reptile. MK:SM retcons the human look completely by replacing it with his half human half lizard sort of look. That's his new humanoid look, this is what Reptile now looks like in MK1 through MK3, Reptile never looks like a human anymore storylinewise.
Lets review, though common sense says Chameleon is a saurian; the reasons of him being very similiar like Khameleon means nothing. Reptile's new canon look in MK1 through MK3 is his MK SM look.
