Even without an official statement from Ed Boon, I have evidence Khameleon, the female palette swap ninja, is in MKA. I’m not going to address Chameleon or say anything about him, because there is still little information on him. But even though I have no connection with any staff on Mortal Kombat works whatsoever, I am still going to tell you this; she might be in Armageddon.

But after extensive searching I found that Ed Boon knows greatly of Khameleon and that she is already being planned for MK: A. Why you may ask? It’s because she’s referenced not only in Deception but Deadly Alliance as well. It bugged me all night after thinking on the C/Khameleons, but now after a few lucky finds, I am sure that she is in.

Reason 1 in Deception:

Take a DAMN good look at this picture. It clearly states, no photo editing, as it was a picture taken off a television screen (notice the slant in the picture), that Khameleon is referenced. Khameleon is the only character to be used as an ally or referenced to any actual existence. This clearly shows that the Khameleon is not a dead palette-swap and it, being Ed Boon in particular, acknowledges Khameleon as if an actual character into the series, proving her in recent appearances, kinda.

Reason 2 in Deadly Alliance:

Playing back through I caught a glimpse of this and have now also confirmed Khameleon being referenced with connection to even deeper roots; Khameleon was a victim of Shao Kahn destroying and taking her home land. As we know this to only ever appear before in Trilogy, this current event shows her as actually still in existence and possibly still training. If you play through as Nitara in Deadly Alliance, take note of this:

“You must successfully learn the Kama. Khameleon would have mastered it with ease had her culture not been clubbed by Shao Kahn ages ago...”

This clearly defines Khameleon not only as an actual existiance and not just a mere palette-swap, but taking place in actual events involved with Reptile and Shao Kahn.

Reason 3 in Trilogy:

Her mission was to contact Reptile and inform him of what Shao Kahn had done to their race, as Reptile was now a loyal serant of Shao Kahn. With that said, it DOES go on to state that Khameleon DOES contact Reptile, as Reptile turns good, and defeats Shao Kahn with the help of Khameleon. Later on in the series other events prove this not to be true, until the mention in Deadly Alliance and Deception, which were mainstream games.

Reason 4 in Deception:

Not really completely confirmed this one, as only most likely Ed Boon knows this, but in Deception, in Outworld in the Living Forest, you can catch a slight glimpse of a gray garbed female character. I’ve seen it however it is impossible to get an actual picture or even pause because she quickly disapears. Maybe it is just something of coinsidence, but originally in Trigloy she was refrenced as being in the Living Forest and you would fight her in the Living Forest. So more and more stuff is stacking up.

Other Reasons:

As I stated before Ed Boon says he is turning over every stone basically and ending everyone's story. This means that Reptile and his current involvement and his destiny pretty much will involve Khameleon, as it has in the past, and as just shown, in the future.
