So back to the topic, Sonya OWNS Kitana. Period. I mean, Sonya is brutal! You put her against any female and she easily wins (maybe except sinde, but she still beats herl).
Kitana sucks at gameplay! Her only good game was mk2. But even Mileena was way better then her! Kitana sucked ass in mkultimate, she was terrible, but in mkgold she was ok, not better then Sonya though.
And please, MKdeadly Alliance has to be kitanas worst appearance ever! She sucked bad!!!! lame fighting skills and awful powers.
Sonya, like queve said, has been top tier in all games! Look at her in MKdeadly alliance! She owns every other female and she owns kitana, no doubt.

Sonya has been in Mk1, Mk2 (story wise important and background element), Mk3, Mk4, Mk5 and maybe MKD! She is the female that has been in most mk games! One of the few charactersd to be around since day 1! Also, she always bets better!

Her moves and fatalites are the best compared to Kitana's!!! Sonya has proven time and time again that she is one of the best fighters in MKDA. As a new game comes along, she gets better and better. Her story may be a bit boring, but her fighting styles and her fatalities have gotten better in depth over time!!! In MKDA, she had the best fighting styles of anyone and she had the coolest yet the most unusual weapontry of anyone in the game that turned out the most kick ass weapon of all!!! Though her story hasn't changed much, her fighting has improved since the beginning.
Now, as for Kitana, she's a great fighter/warrior, I'll give you that. But compared to Sonya. She doesn't hold a candle to her. Yes, she is the master of the steel fan and yes. her storyline has changed a bit from the last time we've seen her, but as of her techniques and her styles of fighting, if she was in a fight with Sonya...Sonya would comes out victorious.

No its not that Edenian years are faster then Earth years Edenians just age slower. If we are talking about age then Kitana is way longer around then Sonya. To prove it just look at Bo Rai Chi in Konquest of MKD. Shujinko almost ages 60 years and Bo Rai Cho looks still the same age.

Even though I like Kitana and Sonya both, I would have to choose Sonya. Mainly because to when compared to one another from UMK3/MKT and MK: DA, Sonya's moves had always been a bit more damaging.This especially holds true with MK: DA. Not to sound cocky, but I play MK: DA on max, Sonya is really the only person that can come close to beating me in rounds thanks to her reverseal and that one style that can start with her attacking either your legs or upper body -_-.
Kitana is good and all but a bit weak in UMK3 and MK: DA. Compared to Sonya her moves have been less damaging tham Sonya's . Also not to mention I like tough mean girls that look as sexy as Sonya XP.

Kitana would, because Sonya...is Sonya, there's no explanation to this =D The actress that was chosen for Sonya in MKA, its sooo hot :P and because Sonya is special, but Kitana rules too =) And Mileena too :P

I totally agree! Sonya was the bomb in that game! She is the most deadly female! And yes, Sonya is definitely the most powerful of the 2 in the games you mentioned.

I 100% agree!!! I also thought her Kali sticks were going to suck ass when I first saw them, but they turned out to be incredible! They were 1 of the most powerful weapons of that game.
Sonya definitely proved to be a true challenge and a top fighter. She is the female with most power. Now, like I said, Kitana is not bad, Kitana is powerful, but against Sonya, she fails to win.

Bo rai Cho is not from edenia. It says he is from outworld. edenia and outworld are 2 different realms, but i see what you are saying.
