well kitana was a given and so was joker and so was green lantern. but i'm more than pleasently surprised that JAX has made it in. he's one of my top 10 favorite MK character

it's arguable what's interesting and what isn't. i don't find being captured constantly and bending to someone elses will all the time interesting.

conversely you probably just think of jax as a sonya sidekick that hasn't done anything.

jax is one of the most useness characters...even stryker and cage are more useful than him.

Jax....sucks. But I can't say I wasn't expecting him. He is, after all, Mortal Kombat's token black guy.

Green Lantern....he was expected, but I'd rather they announced Wonder Woman, to be honest.

Some others might "hate him" he just has seriously lacked in character a while now....thus why nobody wants him in except his 5 fans.

Hell, I'd rather see Stryker in there over Jax or NW even...

Think of it as being equivalent to Nintendo putting in baby Luigi in SSB4 instead of someone better like say Waluigi, Mario or DK....I'm sure that would annoy some SSBB fans a little bit

I'm very pleased about Kitana and The Joker. Though I wasn't really worried, I believed they'd be in.


As far as Jax goes.. well, I'm not a fan. But I'm not a hater either. He's kind of like Kano for me in that respect: I can take or leave him. Seems like Sonya and Jax are attatched at the hip. Where one is, the other is never far behind.

**On the Jax note: MKF, sorry man.. I have to disagree with Jax being nothing more than a male version of Sonya. Aside from the whole Military/SF background... the two are absolutely nothing alike. Especially gameplay wise. The Special Forces/OIA membership is where the common factors stop with Jax and Sonya.


As far as GL goes... I dunno. I'm still undecided about him. I'll wait to see him in action to decide whether I'm gonna like or hate him in this game.

SIGH, THE GAME ISEN'T CANON. Yes, boon said if he had to chose it would be between 2 and 3 but the game isen't canon and the reason why he prob said that is because the mk cast is of MK characters from the first two games.
