Since I'm willing to bet that you have more information that has yet to be revealed (lucky bastard), I can do nothing but believe what you're saying.

I hadn't really even thought about NEW characters not being on the inital select screen. It didn't even cross my mind as a possibility. But now that I think about it, it would probably be one of the GREATEST things they could do, especially if Konquest involves fighting them to unlock them.

I have thought this through, looked at the characters both confirmed and rumoured and here's what I got based on a VERY VERY long process. I'll give the name of the character and the reasons I think it's them.

A) Dairou - The little bump on the top of his head suggests a ponytail sprouting from the back.
B) Kabal - One word.....helmet.
C) Liu Kang - The hair and facial outline.
D) Kira - Looks similar to the artwork shown of her.
E) Tanya - The hair and female facial structure.
F) Noob - DUH!! LOL
G) Ben - Looks like him with the bushy hair.
H) Shujinko - Boon already confirmed he'd be playable, and he's the only old guy on the screen.
I) Smoke - Half human/half cyborg; explains what looks to be a mask or part of a destroyed helmet.
J) Skab - Looks ALMOST EXACTLY like the render.
K) Sektor - Cyborg obviously and no word of Cyrax AT ALL. Plus, his MK:TE ending hints at his return.
L) Sareena - Looks like a small female face line around the chin by the shadows seen, but with longer hair. Yet you can notice what looks to be a white streak in her hair. Her ending also hinted at her return like Sektor's.

People keep forgetting that many of the classic revamped characters are technically gonna be new characters cuz they have new moves, new combos, new looks, new styles, new weapons and new moves.

Noob Saibot, Ermac, Baraka, Mileena,Tanya, and Sindel are all "new".

Everyone is saying that the "C" spot is Lui Kang, but lets not forget we have two different one's. Ghost and Zombie. So, somewhere on that select screen is another lui kang. Just a friendly reminder to you all...

New to true 3-D maybe, but not really new characters. Someone being introduced for the first time is the only way you can really be a new character. And every MK game has had a fair amount of completely new characters (I'm not counting MK Mythologies or Special Forces).

MK1 - Sonya, Johnny Cage, Scorpion, Sub Zero, Liu Kang, Kano, Raiden, Goro, Shang Tsung
MK2 - Baraka, Jax, Mileena, Kitana, Kung Lao, Jade, Smoke, Noob, Sub Zero2, Kintaro, Shao Kahn
MK3 - Nightwolf, Sindel, Stryker, Sheeva, Kabal, Cyrax, Sektor, Motaro
UMK3 - Ermac
MKT - Rain
MK4 - Reiko, Tanya, Jarek, Kai, Fujin, Quan Chi, Shinnok
MK:DA - Nitara, Frost, Mavado, Hsu Hao, Bo Rai Cho, Li Mei, Drahmin, Blaze, Mokap, Moloch
MK:DA TE - Sareena
MK Deception - Ashrah, Hotaru, Kira and more.
That Liu Kang two spots thing really needs to be put to rest or confirmed because I'm sick of it.

Do you honestly believe that one character is going to be split up into 2 seperate slots?

The most logical theory on the Zombie and Spirit forms is that they are alternate costumes.

IN the April GameInformer or one of those magazines, I can't remember, which ever one has the picture of Baraka at the top of the page before the interviews, it's ALREADY been confirmed that Liu Kang will appear as a ghost and his zombie form is an alternate outfit.

The more and more I look at the Kira concept art, the more it seems like she's an evil version of Sonya.

I think it's impossible to tell, guys. Now that Raiden is a confirmed character in the Roster, You'll notice that none of these folks have hats.

It would surprise me if the old dude turned out to be Raiden, but I have a feeling he's not.

With that info, however, here's my new roster.

Smoke, Lui Kang

Ben/Ken, Noob Saibot

Tanya, Jax
Raiden, Smoke
Reptile, Shang Tsung

I'm still holding out on Smoke being a Robot, sue me, heh.

Here is what I think and my explanations.

1 = RAIDEN
If Raiden is on the select screen the he is the one that fits him the most IMO. I think he has his hair straight back with a ponytail and his shoulder patches matches him a little.

2 = KIRA
This one fits the best to her concept art.

3 = KABAL
I think this one is obvious and most do agree with me.

4 = ???
I have actually no idea who this might be. I’m guessing a new character maybe Dairou, maybe a new vampire.

5 = LIU KANG
His hair gives him away, it looks just like Liu Kang.

6 = JAX
Just another guess, if Jax is confirmed it’s most likely him. Unless they have changed him into a complete cyborg now lol.

7 = TANYA
In puzzle Kombat she has long hair straight hair now and this one looks like a female.

8 = SKAB
In the trailer he has also a hooded costume so I think this is it.

9 = KONQUEST CHARACTER
Confirmed by Boon.

10 = SEKTOR
This one looks definitely like a robot and Sektor is mentioned various times in magazines before. But it could turn out to be another or a new robot.

11 = NOOB SAIBOT
I can’t explain his pointy head but this one looks the most like the small Noob/Smoke render. He is definitely wearing a mask.

12 = BEN / KOBRA
I agree with Konqrr, this looks like him in his hooded costume.

I think that the guy in the bottom right that no one knew who he was, is Raiden. It makes perfect sense too. The long hair and everything. He probably looks like he did in MK:DA, which was an AWESOME outfit. His alternate, he will probably be wearing the hat.

1. Jax. The structure of his face seems to be the face of a black man.

2. Kabal for SURE! Look at the eye area and the respirator.

3. Liu Kang most likely.

4. Kira..her hair reminds me of hte render.

5. Ma girl Tanya..obviously..I mean look at the hair.

6. Uhh..Noob Saibot's ears wouldn't be sticking out like that. I am going with Dariou for the soul fact that I have a gut feeling Quan Chi and Shang Tsung will not be in MKD.

7. You can put a strong fight for Liu Kang, but maybe it's dairou or raiden.

8. I'm sorry, I am just not giving into the fact that your created character is a square on the character select screen. I'm going with Shang Tsung or Raiden.

9. Looks like Shao Kahn.

10. That one is really difficult, but judging by the shape of the heads im going with either Noob Saibot or Skab.

11. It indeed looks like part of his face is gone..so I am going with my boy Smoke. If not him then maybe a jacked up Sektor.

12. I know Ben is the popular belief here, but perhaps we were all wrong about 2 and maybe that's Kabal. I mean look..i kinda can see a receding hairline and a respirator near his mouth, but maybe it's just my mind making shit up. Dunno..

What I do know is this Roster is the best Roster since MK2. No question about it.

It's Shujinko, your Konquest character. You unlock him after you complete Konquest Mode. This was confirmed by Boon at E3 in the Fan Interview.

Apparently, you dont pay attention very well. Yes I think they are going to use him in two different slots, why else would they point out that he has Zombie form and Ghost form. It would not be an alternate costume you moron, do you see them referring to "Sub Zero" and then "Pony Tail Sub Zero"...No, I dont think so. They said he would have two forms, so I take that as two characters. I am not happy about it, its just the word around the campfire. thanks

The hair style may be the same but look at the shoulders, those are not female shoulders

im not guessing right now because raiden and jax are confirmed now and this is an early character select screen pic(which looks nice)...remember that early c s screen for MK:DA shown at e3? thats not what it looks looks like now and nitara wasnt even shadowed out or even in the early c h screen at that time...

7 Has got to Be Tanya...If you Look at the Baraka Pic you can see A face mask Of a female Ninja And tanya has that same hairstyle
