I think that Tanya is beside Hotaru, and Kitana is above Tanya (look at the characters dreads - I think that's the way she was in MK4)!

you guys haven't mentioned that there are 2 lui kangs, spirit and zombie, now i'm not sure if one is hidden and one is one the screen or maybe there both on the screen but i think the guy to the far right on the right side of the select screen is one of the lui kangs

First i'm going to start by saying that one is probably his normal outfit and one is the alternate, but I guess some people just can't think of that.


Second i'm going to ask, where is Smoke? Konqrr, you said he was in the game...Where is he on the screen?

I am going to add by saying, that I am now convinced that the character on the second shot in the bottom left is indeed Reptile. Not only does the face look reptilian I guess you would say, but it looks like the bottom of his face is covered by a mask. Now if that doesn't have Reptile written all over it, then I don't now what does.

Actually, right now I am more interested in the characters the are "not present" on the select screen.

Im pretty sure that there is no skab, if u look at those pictures on Mksecrets that pretty much ends the rumors. And who is this Goros brother, where was he mentioned. And for that old guy when i first looked at him i thought it was Pai Mai from Kill Bill lol

Well, let's start with the obvious. I think we all can agree that the middle-left pic is Kabal. That's easy. Now we can clearly see a cyborg on the right, and since I've been told Sektor is confirmed by some informed friends, I think he's a safe bet as well. I can identify an old man, but other than, I have no clue who he could be. Ben/Kobra, on the bottom-far left is pretty obvious I think. The hair almost perfectly matches. The top-far right I believe is Skab. If you don't think it is, I seriously don't give a shit anymore.

Now the bottom-right-center pic is what puzzles me. Although to be honest, I can't make out a Reptile at all. To me, it looks like a skinnier, less puffy Kintaro-like Shokan. Another possibility is that it's a ninja with some sort of crown. My guess is either the new Shokan or Smoke. But i wouldn't count on Reptile.

BTW, if any of the pics are midway employees, I hope they're wearing bags over there heads at work. Seriously, I don't buy that at all.

Anyway, TemporaryUserName, Boon confirmed in the Fan interview that the old man is the Konquest character, shooting down any possibility of his appearance being customizable.

Also, based on the concept art unlocked in MK:DA of Dairou, I have to say that the top left person in the first pic is definitely Dairou. He's bald on top with a long ponytail.

I also don't buy for a second that any of those pics are Midway employees.

I tried my hardest to fit Jax in. I figured since they're always upgrading their characters, they might have had Jax grow a 'fro and braid it lol. Kabal, Liu Kang, and Noob are unquestionable, though. I just dunno about the 23rd slot, he kind of looks like Kintaro with a mask. They also said that they had one more slot for either a new character or returning character, so that would mean 23 made it. There are too many characters and there is also too much confusion lol. SHIT. I just remembered I forgot Smoke....

god damn people are fucking stupid. THEIR IS NO ONE IN THE GAME AS KOBRA. IT'S CLEARLY BEN no offence but im sick of this Ben kobra thing.

I'll post my pic stating who I think everyone is on the select screen then go into further deatil about why. Here is the pic:





Going from left to right.

Smoke: This is one I'm not to sure on. It really looks like a ninja head, so it could be him. Also could be Dairou, but seeing how he is a samurai and not a ninja, it wouldn't make since for him to have a ninja mask.

Liu Kang: This head looks an awful lot like Liu's head from previous games, just going on gut instinct.

Tanya: I've seen Tanya and she has long hair covering on side of her face. If you look, it appears that it's the same here, on the right side of her face. Pretty sure here.

Skab: This one is one of the more obvious ones. Take the render of him, place them side by side. It's definitely him. Guess that kills all the Noob = Skab rumors. Told ya. Kabal: I think this one is pretty clear as well. You can see the respirator and the hoses running to the nose/mouth piece. The only thing that could throw someone off is the antenna coming from his back. Makes it seem kinda "cyborgish". It is Kabal though, rest assured.

Kira: Look at the concept art of her and her hair. Compare it to the hair style of the character is this slot. Some say it looks like Tanya. While yes, it looks like PREVIOUS versions of Tanya (MK4), her new style is totally different as explained above. Kira, bet on it.

Konquest character: While I was thinking this could possibly be Shang Tsung, as he looks alot like the old one, the interview with Boon clearly points this as being the Konquest Monk.

Sektor: Clearly a cyber-ninja. 99% sure it's Sektor, sue to the fact I know Smoke is not cyborg and that Cyrax will not be back. What does that leave? Sektor. Not ruling out the possibility of a new cyber-ninja, as Sektor as a whole new army. However, my sources confirmed to me a long time ago Sektor would return and play a major role in Sub-Zero's plot. So, it's a safe bet to say Sektor.

Ben: Are we even sure this is his name? Or could it be Kobra? Well whoever it is, it's the character with the blonde hair and karate outfit and also with the hoodie outfit with the cobra logo. Compare the screenshots are video clips of Ben in the karate outfit, his long blonde hair, then look at the pic here. Pretty close eh? I'll stick with this being Ben/Kobra.

Noob: I mean look at it, it's got Noob written all over it. Again, one of the more apparent ones. I mean Noob is black anyways, just add in the green eyes and BLAM! there he is.

Shokan: Strange looking head we have here. I KNOW there is a shokan in the game and this is it. Yes, it does resemble a helmetless Shao Kahn and maybe even a reptilian character, but I'd like to point out the extremely long shoulders. Long shoulders (even if they are pads) leads me to believe in 4 long arms underneath. Look at Goro and Kintaro, I think this is your new four armed freak.

Sareena: I'm going out on a limb here because I have not listed Dairou anywhere (with exception of the mention in the SMOKE section). There reason I think it is Sareena is for two reasons. REason one being kinda minor. I think the face is more femenine than masculine. The second, the hair. There is DEFINITELY a white streak in the bangs of "her" hair, just like Sareena. Not saying there will not be another character with similar hair, but this is just striking to me. Coupled with the fact I've hear Ashrah is hunting down Sareena, sounds logical enough to me.


And there you have it folks. My predicitions for the Mortal Kombat Deception select screen. Remember PREDICITIONS, I could very well be wrong on a few of these, however I have strong, strong beliefs in most of the characters I've listed. Let me know what you guys think.

In the one you think is Sareena, I never noticed the white streak because I thought that was the characters forehead (yes, I thought the character had a huge honking forehead) But looking at it now, it makes sense, if Sareena does end up in Deception after all.

I agree with Kel-X, except on two occasions:

Switch around Ben and Liu Kang. Liu's always had smooth hair, and from what little I've seen of Ben, his hair looks a bit wavy. Although, it could just as well be the effects of rising from the grave that have mussed up his hair, but I digress.
