I say Liu Kang. Because before Quan interefered Shang was getting spanked. And Liu didn't even look like he was breaking a sweat. So if they were back in Deception, which is what I assume you mean and fought with out any aid, Liu will be the victor.

If Shang was at full power, who knows what he could've done to him. I hated the fact that Liu schooled him so bad in the intro...Shang didn't get in a single hit. I mean I know Liu Kang is supposed to be the best fighter and all, but come on...this is Shang Tsung we're talking about. Then again, he could've just been distracting him, waiting for Quan Chi to toast him.

Enough rambling. I'd imagine that a fully powered, ready to fight Shang Tsung would beat Liu Kang, but since Liu has beaten him before, its definitely up in the air.

It never hinted at or said anything about Shang Tsung being weakened. He was at full power as far as the intro went. And he still got his ass kicked.

Blackwizard? Liu did not beat Kahn alone. It was all of them combined that defeated Kahn in MK3.

??? I don't recall any of the other fighters joining in Liu's fight with Kahn. In that movie he did defeat Kahn by himself. Jax was going to interfere but Sonya wouldn't let him. at least that's how I remember it. Anyway Shang Tsung, IMO, could not beat Liu by himself. Not to say that Shang isn't a good fighter and wouldn't give Liu a fight, cause he would, but Liu is just better. I don't even like Liu Kang but a fact is a fact.

You are basing your facts on the movie which is not an accurate story to the game. It is true Liu Kang did not defeat Shao Kahn alone.

Kung Lao was with Liu Kang during the battle against Shao Kahn in Outworld and Kung Lao was beated to near death by Shao Kahn. Liu Kang thought Kung Lao had been killed and summoned up all his energy in a rage which made him defeat Shao Kahn and break Earth away from Outworld.

Liu Kang (duh!) That intro was so weak! I liked it a lot, but the fight was dumb.

Umm ok, that was in MK3, but what about MK2? Liu Kang did it ALL by himself.

Liu Kang would definitly own Shang Tsung. He did utterly dominate Shang in the opening scene, and that was pretty bad. Kahn is a different story...

shang is liu's bitch. it reminds me of a school fight where one kid keeps winning. so the loser goes to get his big brother or more of his friends and finally takes down the winner in a beat down...with a grin on his face. that's pretty much shang tsung. but i guess that's also his charm. he just doesn't care how it gets done. as long as it gets done.

Hm, I say Liu Kang would be the victor. Because like someone said in a recent post. Before Quan Chi added his 2 cent in Shang Tsung would straight getting beat down... So Liu Kang would kill him without a doubt..
