I think it would be badass if sub-zero got a women and had a kid to carry on the zero name. Then someone come along and kill his kid sending sub-zero into insanity.

I have a beginning/slash ending for Cage, depending if Sonya's playable.
Johnny Cage gets a phone call from some one who sounds like Sonya to meet her at the OWIA base. When he gets there he finds out that it was Kira who had called hime with a voice mask. Before Cage can react Kira shows him Sonya's dead body. Cage goes into a frenzy and looses his mind completely and rushes out of the base. Later on he begs Raiden to bring Sonya back, just like himself. Raiden says that is impossible because her soul has joined the newly reopened Portal to the Heavens. Johnny Cage wallows in sarrow and realizes that with out Sonya there's no reason to keep fighting the good fight. Sneaks into the OWIA base and opens a portal to Outworld. He learns that it was the Dragon king that had reopened the portal to have an infinite amount of soldiers for his army. Johnny Cage meets with the Dragon King and tells him that if he can't be with Sonya then he would rather be enslaved forever as one of the Dragon King's soldiers. The Dragon King rips out Cages heart and corrupts it with his dark magic by bathing it in the Dark Dragon Flame which is the Dragon King's esscence, that he shoots out of his mouth like a normal dragon. He then places the corrupted heart back into the Cages body and seals the wound leaving a giant scar on Cage's chest. Cage's body then starts to pulsate. His body is covered in black flames and his eyes glow red. His hair turns platinum and grows to shoulder length. His skin turns into deep gray tone. Cage sheds his old movie star clothes and now wears the armor of one of the Dragon King's generals. With his army now complete the Dragon King will lay Siege to the Earth realm. Johnny Cage is the first to lead the strike against his former allies, standing side by side with the Dragon King and with Kira at his.....A dark age has begon and with one of Earth's most powerful warriors reborn as the grim reaper himself, the Earth realm is lost.
And all of this happened because he lost Sonya Blade.

Personally, I always saw Kung Lao and Li Mei getting together but that might just be me.

Sub-Zero has existe for 5 generations. Let's see a 6th or 7th.

Whoever said Frost and Sub-Zero, I always got the impression of Frost being really young; 24 at most. I consider Sub-Zero to be more of a father figure or older brother type than a possible partner. Not to be demeaning, but Frost is sort of a kid. Sub-Zero by my estimates is about 40 now (Despite his wizened looks).

Sub-Zero could be the father figure in Frost' life and he could also simultaneously be her lover. Based on what I have read in some great works of literature and seen while traveling through Europe, it happends much more often then most people think.

A love interest I'd like to see would be between Frost and Scorpion. That would relly cause some tension with Sub-Zero as he wouldn't want Frost getting involved with Scorpion. Frost could see Scorpion as an idol and then fall for him. Scorpion is trying to get her off his back without success.

I think Tanya could be a potential love interest for someone. She could then decieve them and tear up their heart.

maybe frost will play with sub-zero's heart strings and play him to get the dragon medallion. Shes a female so its not out of the question.

I like this idea. Who said that only Liu Kang could fall in love with a beautiful woman from another realm?! And if Li Mei joins the Dragon King, it might be the reason for Kun Lao to join the rest of the crew in MK:D.

- Sub-Zero and Sareena.
Interesting plot. Subbie asked Sareena to join the Lin Kuei in MK:TE, and maybe because he is in love with her... But does she love him?

OK, and just for personal interest ;P
- Kenshi/Liu Kang and Kung Lao.
I know, I know, this would NEVER going to happen, because of no ones wants to see a homosexual man in any MK game... But this is just an idea.
Kung Lao needs someone to listen to his sorrow for the loss of his best friend Liu Kang, and Kenshi is a great listener (in more than one sense). And by listening to Kung Lao opening himself as an open book, he reads between the lines and learns that Kung was more than just a friend for Liu, but was also in love. But because of his religion and status, he could never tell anyone. And since Kenshi doesn't care for anyones status, he comforts Kung, who starts to feel accepted.

Hehe, I know this is ridiculous for the most of you, but well, it's a thought!!!
Many knows how it feels not to be accepted, and having the status as Kung Lao, it's even harder!
Giving MK some other moral than good always conquers the evil would be fun! :P

But now I'll be flamed my ass off because of this, I know...

tgrant, the idea of Frost falling for Scorpion reminds me of the same relationship that Sonic and Amy have.
What about Smoke and Frost? I don't think Smoke has aged since MK3 so Frost might go for him.
I was wondering, in the cartoon show Jax falls in love with somebody from Ermac's extermination squad, I forgot her name, but she might be some one who's later introduced and Jax could fall for her.

Sonya and Johnny Cage are the best couple. They fit character story-wise.

Actually, the games do hint the romance of Cage and Sonya. I like this couple. One of the most interesting and maybe powerful, imo.

I would like to see Goro and Sheeva.
