MK: Armageddon Release Date and Pre-Orders at Gamestop!

The release date for MK: Armageddon has been revealed! The next Mortal Kombat game is set to be released on October 2, 2006, according Gamestop. Gamestop has also put up pre-orders for both Xbox and Playstation 2.

The price for both PS2 and Xbox MK: Armageddon is $39.99 plus shipping. To pre-order the Xbox version, click here, and for the PS2 version, click here. Pre-order yours now!

Is it me or is that price way too cheap? Wasnt MKD worth almost $50 and a bit more? Same with Shaolin Monks and Deadly Alliance?

www.play.com has MK:Armageddon sheduled for release on the 1st September 2006 for both consoles at the very small price of £22.99. Now Play.com is a very reputable and reliable site, but I know that they've made an error. Wish it was true, but they've made a mistake I'm certain of it.

I want to know if the Xbox version will be Xbox 360 compatible, or if they will turn around and make an Xbox 360 version a few months later.

This isn't major news as we already knew it was coming out in oct.But it scares me to think that its only $39.99.I dont mind it being that cheap but makes me wonder about a few things really.I just have a bad feeling now,thats all.But since I don't have a gamestop around here,i have to wait til ebgames starts preorders.

Im fairly certain that it is cheaper because of the Next Generation taking over now. The current generation isnt "in". you cant get away with every game being $50 now, espicially with the more expensive Next gen titles (Isn't it like $60?)

The price drop was expected. I'm sure PS games became cheaper when the PS2 was released. The same applies here with the release of the XBox 360 and the future release of the PS3.

ummm....$39.99. This game is supposed to be HUGE. Bigger than a Shaolin Monks and Deception put together. Why is it only $39.99? This worries me as well. Cheaper games usually mean cheap games.

Actually, a lot of games that are releasing for current gen consoles are priced at $39.99, because of the next gen prices.

Black, Painkiller: Hell Wars, and Sonic Riders are just three of the upcoming releases that are priced at $39.99.

Don't worry about the price. It's a good thing, and isn't an indication of the quality of the game.
