One new character and a couple of extra backgrounds, for good measure

(old topic but..) It better be more characters, it needs to be big to make up for no online play. If for some dumbass reason the DA aren't in MKD then they sure as hell better be in the Gamecube version.

So it's gamecube owners fault? so they should have to wait longer, for the same exact game that PS2 and X-BOX owners are getting a month from now? sounds fair.....

Jhonny : What do you mean that they've removed stuff from the Krypt - what have they removed?
Have they removed/altered anything outside of the Krypt?

No, this is Midway and Nintendo fault...
Don't make me say what I didn't say...

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
all the ps2 and xbox owners are getting sore now cos we are getting some extra things instead of internet hook up thing ... nintendo are so great and so original .. at last someone dosnt follow the crpowd and attempt to be like every other market ! anyway..
CHARACTERS PLEASE !
failing that a few extra modes or some extra stages .. but characters would be the best .. or if midway want to be real good they can give us all three things ive just suggested that would be cool ..

what they should do is make two extra gamecube characters and 3 more stages, but on the day of the gamecube release, reveal the code that unlocks those things on Xbox and PS2.
Unless of course the two characters are Nintendo Characters, like say.... Samus and Link

hear some PS2 and X-Box bias. I think itll be like MK Gold. 4 Extra characters that it comes with and 1 extra super unlockable. since there arnt FMV endings to this game it could have alot of extra info added to it since game cube discs hold almost twice the info as DVDs but have preoblems compressing FMVs.

Ok, here it comes....
::Rant alert::
I'm sick of people belly-aching about the POSSIBILITY of gamecube owners possibly getting something better than a PS2 owner, or an X-box owner...
This is not an attack on any console...but let's give it a rest, if the Gamecube gets a few extra characters....then tough shit.
You know when MK: D is coming out for the gamecube???? First quarter of 05.
So let's just say...February...do you know how far away that is in gaming months? EVERY single secret, in Mortal Kombat: Deception, will have been revealed by then, every single unlockable, every single ending.
Now you tell me...are you going to trade your X-box version in, and wait?
No, you want the characters now, and no wait...well it doesn't work that way, I don't know why people get upset, at the POTENTIAL idea, that their paticular version might have less characters.
This has happened before, it will happen again.
UMK3, Mortal Kombat Trilogy, Mortal Kombat 4, Mortal Kombat Gold, Mortal Kombat TE for the gameboy advanced....
and btw, this isn't singling out DK...but DK, why should gamecube owners suffer because it's nintendos fault? or midways fault? I am not saying that YOU said it was a gamecube owners fault....but again, why should THEY suffer?
Besides...let's all recognize this for what it is...Midway and Nintendo finally got together...and they both realized they could profit from this...especially after the wait...because you'll have the faithful MK fan, who doesn't have X-box or PS2 (Although, they're probably in the minority...I'm sure there are SOME Mk fans buying a ps2 to play this game, or an x-box), who owns a gamecube, who will DEFINITELY buy this game...but now...that's where Midway and Nintendo want to stop it right? No no....they add incentive to everyone else, who owns a PS2/X-box, AND a Gamecube...who already own MK: D for the PS2 or X-box....Now, for people like me and you, they want us to buy the same game, for a new system, only because of a few characters.
The point is...99% of the people on this board, wouldn't trade getting MK a month from now, already stacked with a HUGE lineup of characters to choose from, for getting MK, 6 or 7 months from now, just on the off chance that they get an extra character.
I know I wouldn't...the bulk of the game would be exploited by the time I get that game with an extra character or two.

I doubt they will add anything major. Maybe a few backgrounds. I dont think they will ass more characters as all hell will break loose.
Plus, how long have they working on MKD??? AAAAAAGGGGEEEESSSSS!!!!! So its going to take a lot of time I guess to get it running properly for gamecube, so I doubt they'll have time to come up with new character designs/stories/styles/interactions etc.
I rerally hope they dont add more characters as it wouldnt be MKDeception anymore lol.
Plus, I wont be using online play on the PS2....so if the do give more characters to GC, do u think I could swap the online stuff for them lolol.

GAMECUBE is not getting new characters, the most they'll get is some new backgrounds or more stuff in the krypt. They would never give one console out of three more characters than the other, they've only switched up characters between consoles before. They've never given one more than the other, so GAMECUBE owners can just cross off new characters on the list of things they will get on the gamecube version of MK:D. Plus do you know how much HATE mail they will be getting from the majority of their PS2 and XBOX fans, they don't wanna deal with that. Because their is something no one failed to mention, but they can also take away stuff from the gamecube version that is on the xbox/ps2 version of the game, and add new stuff that isn't on the xbox/ps2 version. So most likely they're gonna keep it as fair as possible to avoid the bitchin of their fans.

Blame Nintendo for no on-line play, not Midway. In truth, Midway really doesn't have to make up for anything.
Also, you're only hurting yourself by only having one console. Ps2 and Xbox are cheap now.
Anyways, I think maybe one new character and mostly other modes or extras. Because Boon said the GC would have new features, and I never considered characters features. Features to me mean, modes and extras.
