today i downloaded the trial of VF5....i'm definetly gonna get that game in a few weeks...anyone else playing that or gonna get it?

VF5 is good and miles better than that doa4 crap. Its a rewarding title and requires a lot of skill and patience compared to that doa4 (button mash) in my opinion. If you like the tekken series, VF5 will suit you, yet use a arcade stick as the pad sucks for it big time like it does with every other fighing game

Yup I did couple years ago as 'MAN0', haven't played you tho. My connection was bad that's why I stopped but now that i am upgraded I hope the're wont be any lag issues.

I wouldn't call doa4 a button masher, high lvl gameplay is really impressive. You should see S's and SS's fight eachother. There's noway a noob can win a skilled player.

I play VF5. My main, and only character so far is Kage. I love that ninja stuff!

It's an awesome game for sure. It's up there with Soul Calibur and Tekken in the Best Fighting Games club.

BTW yeah I totally agree with you on DOA4, on being a tough game to master and can be played like most fighters at high level, I also know a good friend that plays MLG who can vouche for that, he's been in some of the nations championship tournaments. He's awesome.At least to me I like it more then any VF game. I also know UMK3 showed at Evo as well at some point years ago, I'd love to see MK:DA sometime either go online or have some tournaments where I am. I love that game

I ordered GTA:SA off of Half.com on Thursday. Showed up today.

Yeah, I know N/S is up there. At that point, I was VERY tired. I had also already been aggravated at your button-mashing. It just seems really weird to me in both games how your recovery/dial-priority works. Not a big deal. But being tired coupled with that, I got to the point where I wanted to end it quick and I knew N/S was giving you fits with the 50/50's.

I did think I semi'd you that one time. I can't remember now... but I think it was plant on wall, side-step, throw... I wasn't sure about that so I let up.

Is Kobra's D+3 a Free-Throw mid-screen? Cuz you did it like 3-4 times and I couldn't get out of it. Maybe I'm supposed to jutsu. ? Don't know.

Kobra D+3. Pretty sure its a free throw even mid screen. Definitely at the right angle. However it is easier to jitsu and greater chance that your opponent can mis time the free throw.

Easy to forget ONE of the MANY problems with MKD's fight engine are moves like these safe low pokes. The severity and imbalance of recovery frames associated with these types of attacks do not equate into proportionate risk vs. reward properties.


Dial-a-combos after QR piss you off? Wait until I unlock Sindel. Your gonna want to infinite me.


MKA, I dont bother to do them if my opponent has the ability to parry after the first blocked hit.

No, not really talking about that. That's something I'll deal with and try to figure out. Hopefully get to where you'd have to change it up.

I'm talking about when you started dials and stop them mid-way, then start another real quick. Sometimes, it's a good mix-up and catches me. Other times, I would guess right and go to counter but I couldn't because you had somehow stopped your combo, CS twice, and restarted it again catching me before my counter would even land. Just seems like your priority/recovery isn't quite right.

Could be, though. I don't know.

But yeah, I want you to unlock those characters. I thought I've heard your Sindel was better than Dan's. Makes sense. She seems like she'd fit perfect with your button-mashing. Unlock them.
