I'd keep my hopes low, it looks to be just a little better then hapkido at best.
We can only hope that his new style could be as good as Pi Gua, but I seriously doubt it. Altho, not much has been seen, so who knows yet.
| _JRF_ Wrote: moi fah was a ok stance...he lost alot of power losing pi gui...and at E3..each character has the classic uppercut in their 2cd style defaulted by using d+2..any questions at all?..since ive played MKD already...even though its a older build |
is the uppercut any good? It looked poor in the gameplay vids I saw.

Tiers are created by the players, talked about, then adjusted. Preferably by players who know wtf they're talking about.
I'd ask about Noob/Smoke and Jade(the other 2 characters im planning to learn), but since they weren't in, what about Bo? I know you were good with him in DA, so you should be able to fill us on waht's up with him in D. He has Sumo now so I guess mi zong is gone.
Almost all fighting game's respective fan sites have frame data for the games EXCEPT MK. Hopefully this will change with MKD, but we'll see. As for tiers, these are created by the best players at the particular game and it's normally a pretty reliable resource as to which characters are good and which characters arent. No tier is perfect, but they are VERY accurate. Tier lists only matter when both players are average or above average. When both players suck any character can suceed because the fighter's weaknesses and strengths are unknown to the people using them. Also, most of the time in fighters there are a few match ups that kind of disregard tiers because the lower tier character has a certain move or moves that totally messes up what the top tier character has that makes him so good. For example, Bo Rai Cho is the 2nd best character in the game. I don't know exactly where Quan Chi was, but I believe he was number 13 or so. Even tho Bo Rai Cho was top tier and Quan Chi was upper mid tier, Quan Chi gave Bo Rai Cho serious problems. I hope this all made sense to you.

| _JRF_ Wrote: the juggle system seemed pretty open..like umk3 or other mks have been..its not really bogged down or anything..but its all up to the testers..they have the say whats in or out for kombos n such..they use a in-house program that Boon developed for the dial-a-kombo stuff and percentages for damage |
That's good to hear. Though, are you saying that the testers are given a program that they can actualy use to adjust damage and what not? Like on the fly? 0_o I didn't know that. That isn't a common practice while developing a fighter, is it? Anywho, I'm scared now, lol. Damage was whacked out in DA. Hope they learned a little, lol.
With Bo having Sumo now..he still might be pretty sick..Ive always felt his drunken stance was the bread and butter of him...but i did notice they moved some shit around at E3...like Bo's drunken d+3 was moved to d+2..and 1 1 4 was a 3 hit kombo in drunken...im sure this will all change
I didnt play sub at all..but i have a vid of RayRokka playing paulo garcia ..he played a decent sub..
And yes..they work on damage percentages pretty much before the game comes out..
I have alot of faith in the testers for MKD..these guys have been at Midway a longtime..
Anything else?
Did you play Baraka or Kabal? and If you did what did you think of them? and Is scorpions hellfire really unblockable?
but this was many months ago...im sure everything changed.. i wish MKO had atleast a somewhat high level player when they go to Midway events..cause theyve played on newer versions than me
lamers
NW is good,,,so was hotaru,,and ashrah is quick and has alot of potential

LOL! No way, dude. I don't want to actually know anything about the gameplay. Rather, it's much more enjoyable to sit back, watch vids then express my displeasure. While the beast that is fanboy-ism swarms like flies to horse shit. Chomping at the bit to tell me how lame I am and to just fucking leave.

Nintendo is comprised of three Japanese words. Nin, Ten, Dou, and when combined it means we kicked the holy shit outta Atari.

Is that because you don't want to be disappointed if it turns out to be crap or because you want to be that much more surprised if it turns out good?

Honestly, I really, really want D to be good. From all I've seen, read and past experiences I doubt it will be; even with the new info that's coming in. I truely believe that. However, I've always downplayed games so I wouldn't be dissapointed. Yet, have given props when they turn out decent.
So yes, I guess my previous attempt at a caustic comment was a subconcious revelation to the fact that I downplay quality, in order to be elated. Though, not dissapointed when it sucks...or something.
Edit: That was in reference to gameplay. I am actually pretty happy with the "MK" in this MK.
pm me if you want in with your AIM s\n too.
