I almost laughed at the whole "THE RAGE! THE RAAAAAGE!" thing. The Rage factor looks like it's going to cause severe unbalance.

Captain Marvel is gonna be bad ass in this game! I wish they would have shown the opponent's health meter when Captain Marvel was whooping ass while in RAGE mode. He did three juggles, some punches, his lightning SHAZAM! grab, and a throw. He's just a strong as Superman so the oppenent should have been done with.

Cool! Although the word "rage" was used much too often in this video (sounded quite stupid when they said it over and over again)! Nevertheless this rage mode looks pretty damn awesome!



Hmm...... I don't think it's really gonna be a problem. IMO the rage-mode is more or less comparable to desperation / super moves in 2D fighting games (see Street Fighter 2 to 4 for instance). It's just some kind of "tide turner" or something like that. It can be the deciding factor in a match for sure, but it doesn't have to be (like.... block all the attacks... and thats it?).

The question is: How fast does the metre fill up and how often can you activate the rage mode in one round / match?

How much can it possibly unbalance within the EDIT:5 seconds you're in RAGE Mode?

ten seconds seems like a long time to be able to constantly attack someone. even though rage mode is like closer to six seconds right?

Sorry according to Gamesradar it "lasts for around five sweet seconds" which is barely enough time to get away from harms way and perform a combo. I wouldn't go as far as saying it unbalances anything.

- Story looks very interesting.

- Character models look fantastic (C. Marvel, Liu Kang, Rayden, Superman, Green Lantern, Flash, Batman, etc. all look very cool, and Sonya looks fuc*ing beautiful , they seriously gave her the best hair style ever and so much attention to detail, I can't wait to see her in action and hear her voice more)

- I hope they don't abuse the whole rage thing.

I think the real question regarding this rage thing, is when somebody performs a combo during rage, can it be broken like normal? If you can't use breakers on people when they're in rage because they're invulnerable, that doesn't sound good...

Well, you see, the "Rage" plotline is very beneficial to the game's budget.



That way they don't have to pay the writers to do any real work.

Anyway, I actually liked the vid. I mean sure... Shazam/Marvel was kinda corny..but then it's Shazam/Marvel.

At any rate, I liked getting a bit more footage of the story mode. The more I see, the more I'm liking it.

Actually, I meant the whole video is corny. Shang Tsung sounds like an evil robot, and all of the lines are cheesy and cliched. Nothing impressive is going on here. The 3D models look OK until they start moving and the DC characters just seem to have recycled animations from previous MK games, nothing that actually fits their character.

Keep talking like that and I might have to get my RAAAAAAAAAAAGE!! on

Ok, I admit that there are SOME things that look at bit off. But over all A LOT has improved. One of the things that still annoys me is the fact that I see a lot of similar movements from MKD/MKA.... however I'm willing to over look these for THIS game because even with them (watching some of the game play vids) the combos and special moves working together nicely and make the combos flow better. While it's not pefect.. it's still more fluid than MKD/MKD
