Personally, I never cared much for either character, except knowing they were damned hard in MKII. It's an interesting twist to say the least.

I guess you didn't read the recent news, one guy called mortalkombatDE went to that expo in germany (kinda like e3) and he played mk deception, he said there were separate spots for Noob Saibot and Smoke in the slecet screen so there's no reason for you guys to worry about

There are a few upsides to this, now that I think of it.
1.It clears up a character spot,meaning more possibility of people like Sektor and Reptile.
2.The fusion could make for some VERY interesting Fatalities.

i'm pissed of first of all they show raiden doing a kamehamehe and now they fused charactors (this is mk not dragon ball) smoke and noob saibot were my favorite charactors. smoke kool. noob kool. noob smoke lame. and that doesnt clear up a spot on the select screen theres still 24 charactors which is how it's been set since e3 boon had to ruin 2 of the coolest mk charactors ever because he had to put the worlds lamest hero ever in the game liu kang (turkey boy) sucks and no matter what they do he will always be lame. way to screw up two of the greatest and coolest storyline charactors in mk history boon u suck

Not really, cause 25 characters were announced in the source code, so if Smoke and Noob Saibot fuse really, the 25th character can be on the select screen too, he wouldn't be anymore a super unlockable...

There's something about having one's favorite character (Smoke) combined with one's least favorite character (Noob) that makes me cringe.

I'm sure that it'll all get resolved in the character's ending. I'm guessing this is a temporary thing.

I feel the same way man. This fuse idea is fucking stupid. Smoke was my character in UMK3 and now he fused with Noob. Why? they don't have anything in common from their previous stories.
It's just stupid. I do hope somewhere along the way that someone misunstood someone. I want Smoke and Noob to be two different characters since they both have potential and fusing them is just a easy way of putting them both in the game.
