Not that the repetitive of erroneous opinions of the uninformed aren't thrilling additions to the discussion.

If you ask me, they did a pretty good job of differentiating him from Superman, game-play-wise.

I'm not sure I'd call misrepresenting the character to fit the same standardized set of special moves especially impressive. Allowing special moves to deviate more substantically (and accurately) surely would've been the more appreciable option.

To reiterate; there's no reason arbitrary lightning attacks had to be added.
Even MK has some precedent for physical attacks for special moves. Jump on MKA and sift through the KAF menu, imagining lightning flourishes instead of flame effects.

Damn, Mick. I bet you got a perfect score on your SAT or ACT language/verbal portion. Reading your posts makes my brain hurt. Way too many big words. I understand the meaning of those words but reading them all together is a bitch! Just bustin balls....lol.

Anyway, I am a huge Captain Marvel fan and I don't really care for the moves they gave him except for his lightning grab. I know the goal was to differentiate him from Superman, but they should have stuck with the the classic character's moves from the comics for a better translation. Teleport from the top of the screen and come up from the bottom? wtf?!?

The fluidity of the cut scenes and the transition into fighting seems really well done. It's good to see Captain Marvel no longer being referred to as Shazam.

The only call him Shazam for promotion but they'll call him Captain Marvel in game.

But he does look cool and the vid was cool too.

I hear what you're saying and to that extent, I agree. But the two lightning attacks that he make sense are the ones that have been used in the comic books (i.e. holding a foe while calling upon the bolt, dodging the bolt after calling it with an opponent directly it the bolt's path).

He does not throw lightning bolts from what I've read, so that move is completely fabricated for the game. I'll use it nonetheless as it will be useful during online play. His clap is akin to the Hulk's from Marvel. It's just a display of his immense strength, so that move is entirely feasble for Captain Marvel, Superman, Darksied or any other super powered character.

Peace

Actually he does throw Lightningbolts he did to Black Adam during 52.

Oh really, now that I did not know. Then he is legit. The teleport move he does can be associated with his speed and flight I guess. In any case, I'm just happy that they put him in the game. Captain Marvel and Superman are my top favorite rivals in the DC universe. I have a bias towards Captain Marvel though grin

Next month I'll try to rent it and see if I like it or not.

get off the thread. this is for those who enjoyed just getting some new gameplay. the gameplay was great. better than sc4, vf5, street fight, hell all the other fighting games. mk vs dcu is going to win fighting game of the year, hands down

Here we can view the fanboy in his natural habitat, scorning those who don't yield to his way of thinking...truly a marvelous creature to behold.

He's acting like I just bitchslapped and spat on his mother or something. Maybe he's one of the reasons the gaming community laughs at MK fans. Seriously Animosity, stop eating whatever shit Boon tells you to.

you muthsfuckers are not listening. you act like I just bithed slepped your mom. the fucking video was good. the characters are fucking good. we are all mk fans. mk fans knows what mk is about. it's like you guys say you like mk and always played it but you turn around and say negative things about it. these guys are working very hard to make mk. they cannot please everyone and give everyone what they want

#1. Learn to spell

#2. I'm not saying the video was bad. Never did I say the video was bad. Why the fuck are you blowing up at me for no reason? Because I want to know what happened after MK:A but instead I have to wait another year or 2? Yeah okay.

#3. MK isn't about crossovers, so I don't get what your point is with "Mk fans know what mk is about", because you don't have to be a fucking MK zombie to love the franchise. And I hate DC. If this was something else I doubt I'd hate it but it's a DC crossover. DC = shit IMO. I love MK enough to look past the flaws with MK:D and MK:A but there's only so much I can turn a blind eye to.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't one of the guys talking during the video Hector? Sure sounds like him.
