I hate when I read "don't complain." It's a forum to voice your opinion. I don't think that just because this is an MK site that you have to mindlessly praise everything MK or keep your opinion to yourself.

The concept of making Kitana an "evil" character and giving her Mileena's rolling move to save a slot space was a bad decision. I can't imagine Kitana or Mileena fans being happy with this merging of the characters. I seriously doubt that this hybrid is the boss character.

I hate that I am such an MK fanatic because I will inevitably purchase this game. The only difference is that instead of being crazy for it new at $60 bucks, I'll wait a few months or years to get it at $19.99 when I am bored one day.

I think it's disappointing to see how many people are more excited over downloadable content than the actual game. Everyone wanted to see Kung Lao, Mileena, Reptile, Green Arrow, and Martian Manhunter in the game. And now we are looking past the game and hoping to hear that these guys are DLC. Lame.

mileena is evil with the scary teeth hidden under the veil, the only thing kitana really has on her is that the fans are more original then the sais, apart from that mileena kicks kitanas ass for coolness, still i do like kitana so ill shut up now

Why would you be afraid to criticize? This game has nothing to do with mortal kombat. The game has DC characters, the game is non-cannon, heck I even canceled my preorder, even though they told me I wouldn't get my money back. You wanna know how frustrated I am? Very. So therefore, you can be as critical as you want to.

if mileena is not a downloadable character this game will mean nothing to me...i will still get it just so i can make everyone preform their fatalities on Kitana!!!!!!

Thanks QueenSindel for expressing what i think, i feel so so so awful today.

Im a big fan of MK, since MKII Mileena was MY favourite and default character until MKA. I know she havent the same place that KItana have in the firsts MK; but MKD has turned Mileena in a fucking icon of MK. Kitana, instead, start to losing front Mileena, or even Sindel or Jade.

Anyway, I glad Kitana is in MK vs DCU. I like her. I have a little bit of But... Kano (who plays a shameless and secondary and pathetic role in the entire MKsaga), Baraka (who is a puppet of EVERY badass -Tsung, Khan, Shinnok, Deadly Alliance, Onaga-, and he never had his own proper plans, simply follow the momentary ́s villain. Besides, he has a very simple history, not a bit deep) and Jax (well, he is top tier in MKII, and his storyline is a little bit complex, however he does not have arrival to the fans and that was demonstrated in all the forums when him was announce).Ok, there are many people doesnt want mileena, but they all know that definitively she deserve a place, a fucking spot. Im really sad that neither Reptile (THE FIRST SECRET CHARATCTER OF THE HISTORY OF FIGHTING GAMES),or Cage (well, i dont like him so muc does but he has a great fanbase, beside being recognized for the casuals) doesnt be in the final roster.. But Mileena...that really hurt, man. Its a fucking stab to know that her is not going to be in this game, where the most recogniscible faces of both franchises will be presents (theorecally, of course) (damn you Boon, screwyou!)

I am deeply blue because my favorite fictitious character is out of this important game.

First and foremost, don't go calling this game MK8...it just isn't. We already know the storyline to this game is non-canon anyway, not to mention this is labeled a crossover game. That proves this isn't MK8.

Secondly, the animosity over Mileena's exclusion is admirable, but you don't need to go arguing over the matter. There are a lot of good people stooping low in this thread, and it pains me. Warrior Princess, you're on my buddy list for goodness sake (you probably didn't know it, but now you do). I've read all your posts and have come to respect your opinions; I know you're better than this. Don't get yourself worked up. Queen Sindel, you make very valid points about the shortage of female characters in the game (hell, in the franchise as a whole I'd agree the male to female ratio is severely uneven), and you do make good arguments about Jax and Kano being wastes of roster space. I've been preaching that everywhere I can on this forum. Don't get yourself worked up, either.

Animosity, I'm sure you could care less what I say about you, but I respect your enthusiasm for MK. Seriously, I do. I consider myself an MK fan through and through; I was there when it all started as a four year old who barely knew his way around a controller. I knew then there was something to love about this game. However, the comments you made are off the wall, man. I can tell you're happy with what the MK team is giving us, and I too praise them. Yet, you can't let loyalty keep you from commenting on where the direction is going; you have to have a little criticism to keep the quality up.

Look, I'm not going to sit here and condemn anyone for being outspoken. I sure can be, therefore I applaud all of you who are simply trying to express your opinions. But seriously, be just a bit more tasteful about it, please. Lord knows whether or not the MK team actually looks this site over for feedback (I imagine they do), but if they stop in and see this they won't acknowledge that any of us exists. Oddly i like Jax, Kano and Baraka. Mileena is my #5 fav so im extremely ticked shes not in. im really really upset that Sindel didnt make it I have 3/4 of a perfect roster (kitana, Superman, WW) Sindel would have made me one happy man.

What in the hell is going on here? I swear if everybody didn't buy this game because of the charactars that wasn't included, there'd be no more mortal kombat period. Mileena is a Kitana clone. That's it. She was a beast in MK II gameplay wise, but honestly, outside of that, i'd consider her useless to the story untill vogal rescued her from the waste bin. Even then, what did she do....that's right, she posed as kitana to take over the edenian army BUM BUM BUM. I'm happy with the diversity in the charactar roster (although i'll be the first to admit that the female side is slim pickins anyway). And besides, Midway is supposed to be picking people that have some sort of relation to another charactar. Who is mileena the opposite of? Bizarro maybe? We do however, already have what's sure to be an overpowered charactar in Superman, the last thing we need is his twin to throw off what little balance this game might have.

If you were seriously a MK fan, you wouldn't base your entire love for the series off of one character. You may have not noticed, but there are many fans that midway has to attend to. It's one thing to get upset over the roster, but it's another thing accusing midway of not listening to the fans just because you didn't get your character in.

You're not coming across my point. You are basing your like of MK vs. DC on one character. Which also leads me to ask if Mileena is left out of MK9, you would boycott that too? Also not to demean your circle, but there are plenty of other people who are still going to buy MK vs. DC so I'm sure midway will live.

Obviously Mileena and Kitana are two different characters but your comparison is kind of over-dramatic. Kitana and Mileena were Palette Swaps so those two sharing moves isn't as crazy as Jax throwing a spear. I admit that it is kind of lame and they should of thought of a better special move for Kitana, but I still think it's a bit extreme to be that upset over one special move.

How could you tell my boy was in? Seriously though I think the MK team did a decent job on the roster considering they had 60+ MK characters and 200+ DC. As for Kano, he may not be well-liked, but he is a pretty recognizable character hence the word "Iconic" not "popular".


And for the record, I am peeved that Mileena and Kung Lao didn't get in.
