there are drawings like this that can be found in the krypt, but not all of them depict actual things put into the game, but just ideas with the captions to read what the picture describes.

im guessing this sort of content will appear back in MKDC, something along the lines of the krypt, maybe thats what the picture is meant to be, and not actually a "clue" as to who the next DC character is.

as mentioned in this thread already, there would be no way to fight on waves or in the water as depicted in this picture. Sharks? cmon.

It is simply a concept drawing, possibly even a cinematic during the story mode where im not 100% sure but i think Boon mentioned that non playable characters from both sides will make appearances during story mode.

dunno if anyone knows this, but i read a transcript of the comic con panel. seems someone asked for aquaman to be in and badass, everyone including the mk team started laughing. looks hopeful he won't be in.

Aquaman badass? isn't that like a contradiction or something? the MK team obviously can't work miracles, what makes them think they can pull something like that off?

I don't think Aqua man will be a playable character. I think Boon is toying with us. I don't think Boon would be put a picture up there that noticable knowing we can figure it out. we all know that it's Aquaman. If he wanted to give Aquaman away that easily, he might as well put up an actual render of Aquaman. I think that Aquaman will only be in story mode. If he is playable, he will be an unlockable.

maybe we're not looking at this from the right angle..people have been asking about Downloadable content right? well..what if Aquaman will be for download?

Maybe he'll be some useless guy in the background of a water stage like Cyrax in the desert.

Could be a lot of folks are focusing on the wrong thing. Boon likes to play with our heads as far as hints go. Perhaps the stick figure isn't the clue. Perhaps the SHARK is the clue. A clue about Cyrax's inclusion maybe? Just a thought.
The Cyber Ninjas were popular enough, and with the time line falling between MK2 and MK3.. it's not out of the question that we could see one of them.
The Aquaman reference just seems a bit to obvious to me.

It's storyboarding for the ending cinematic where Aquaman defeats Shaoseid and ascends to NEW New Elder God Godhood and rules the multiverse. Aquaman MK champion: confirmed!

If you highlight the black area below the image..there is a hidden text message that says "In case you were wondering..."

Which would hint that Aquaman is DEFINITELY in the game!!! Did anyone else catch this?!!

Most people caught it when it was first added to the page, after the There Will Be Blood poster that responded to concern about the T rating.

I'm not sure if it's much of a guarantee for Aquaman...

what's interesting is that superman's new brutality is sheeva's old fatality. for whatever reason when supes does it the enemy doesn't die.

Also Superman leaves their arms above the ground. It is a bit different from the Sheeva one, it is not the same it just resembles that one.
