I will only comment on the fighting styles in this post. Which I may add are very poor. Lets take Scorpion as an example; his main style is Hap-ki-do which has 13 basic attacks and 13 combo attack. Ok well, I have been kickboxing for just 1 year now and I can perform more than 13 basic attacks and combos.
Straight punch (L and R), Uppercut (L and R), Hook (L and R), Elbow (L and R), Elbow uppercut (L and R), Spinning elbow (L and R), Spinning back-fist (L and R) and now for some kicks.
Front kick (L and R), Side kick (L and R), Roundhouse kick (L and R), Spinning roundhouse kick (L and R), Back kick (L and R), Heel drop (L and R), Crescent kick (L and R), Front knee (L and R), Outer knee (L and R), Hook kick (L and R) Jumping Front, Side, Roundhouse, Hook, Heel drop, Crescent kick and Jumping knee (all L or R leg). Thats about 23 24 basic moves and once combined the possibilities are almost limitless.

I would like to see a custom combo system, You would be able to link attacks that would chain in real life.
A lot of the combos in MKDA and every 3D fighting game are impossible, or impractical.

I'm thinking it would be pretty sweet to add a tekkan tag effect to it. Someone might sue, but they shouldn't worry about it to much. I loved the whole marvel vs. capcom thing. Wouldn't it be sweet to make MK vs street fighter. Thats what a real fantasy game would be. Imagine Scopion and Sub-Zero taking on the "pair" of street fighter. Ken and Ryu- It would be extremely cool to add your own sound track. Something just occured to me, can you imagine Ryu blasting a person to shreds for a fatality. Oh, and to give the MK characters super combos would be to sweet! this is dolfo, signing out

same as most: i would like a better design for the barriers in stages that are like an open arena. perhaps railing that you can jump off or do a special off like DOA. could work in with the multi tiered aspect where you could break through the railing and fight on the stair case (snake temple) is that the proper name?
tweaks: cage looks like he defies gravity when he does the flip kick as do some of the characters like shang when he performs his fatality, make the air movements more real. i thought the blood was fine, but in mk6 i would hope for better damage effects to clothing and arms/legs. slashes and blood that streaks down and stays on the character would be cool. (hehehe, perhaps after round one white bandages could appear on the really bad cuts)
i really like bone breakers from mk4 and i understand that ppl like realism - so you cant fight with a broken leg. my idea would be to have bone breakers as an alternative to fatalities - go into fatality stance and press the special button to perform a bone breaker. (much more elaborate bone breakers too, not like mk4)
unlockable fighters was a great idea. i would like the scrolling select screen (mk1 arcade) so you couldnt see the specific amount of unlockable characters - u just have to keep playing to find them all.
2 fatalities, one normal, one weapon, and unigue stage fatalities. together with a bonebreaker that would be four entertaining options to the end of the fight.
increase the polygon count. some features (scorpions brow and jax's arm muscles (in alternate) just dont look right). oh and add a third costume to the count.
add another subset game (test your skill) where you get a combo meter and the higger the level, the more hits you have to successfully land. and yet another game (test your speed) where you are given a training dummy where say... 25 hits would break the dummy and you have to do this within a time limit (time gets shorter as the level increases) i think this would look cool coz as the dummy gets closer to breaking point, bits of heshian come off before the sand spews out at the guts at break point.

You can do that with mugen. Mugen is a free fighting engine you can download off the net. I have it, and you can play scorpion vs Ryu in it. You can make your own characters too, but it is difficult.

All I want in MK6 is Nitara the return of Baraka. I have a feeling MK:DA is going to wind up like MK4, in which maybe one or two of the characters introduced will remain for 6. Kai, Shinnok, Reiko, Jarek, Tanya, Fujin and Quan Chi were all introduced in MK4, but the only one that went on to MK:DA was Quan Chi. I'm hoping that they won't do the same for MK:DA, since Nitara is one of my favorites, but I wouldn't be surprised if non of the new characters from MK:DA make it to MK6.

the only things missing in MDA was, stage fatals, ripping clothes, damage to the body(bruises-cuts etc.) not only the face, and replay value... theres no point of playing the game after getting everything in the krypt...if there was online gameplay, everyone would have kept on playing... just imagine counter-strike, if it was ofline how boring would that be, playing against bots... but because its online everyone still plays it!
for the next MK the following Must be Included;
*Online Gameplay
*2 Fatals Per character
*Pit Fatals
*ripping clothes
*bruises and cuts on all parts of the body (not just the face)
*Endurance Matches Like in MK1
*Scores, so we can put up our high scores!!!
*More Gameplay Modes like, TimeAttack, Survival etc.. all of the other fighting games have them, why doesnt Mk Have 'em?
and some other things i would like to mention;
*there shouldnt be any 4 handed stupid animals, there shouldnt be robots!(make it more realistic)
*the fights should be more action packed! just like the asian jet-li movies :)
*There should be more fighters like Kung-Lao and liu Kang(shaolin monks) the game should be more asian...
*theres a few nice moves in some of the sketches that are shown in the game, like 'off wall spinning kicks, running kicks in the air, johnny cage's splits' etc. but why didnt they make it in the game?
*** some moves makes it look like theres low gravity, like cage's summersault kick, and some of the throw-kicks(which are donw by pressing the black button on the xbox pad) like Kung-Lao; when he does that kick, he waits in the air a little, its funny when u think about it, instead of floating in the air, they should fall on their backs...
*There shouldnt be so many swords around!

Ok how about a Coup de grass (hope thats the right spelling) for each fighting style also with weapon fighting styles. This would be done in place of a Fatality still deadly just not as brutal. Then also you get a Fatality per char (they better be good seeing as you get one per char!!!!!), stage Fatalitys a friendship .

Something like .well lets call it a Noobality rofl after a fight just pull this off to rub salt into some ones wounds, something that will totally humiliate then e.g. when you get a flawless victory on the last fight then you get to do the Noobality, and please no more comical fatalites like Quan Chis

While im here, give Scorp his teleport punch back !!!!!! but here is a nice spin on it, if it hits the opponent then they are pulled into Scorpions lair in Netherealm (like in the film) where he gets a slight but distinct advantage be it life regen, more damage or whet ever .. the only way to get back is to do a throw on Scorp then the two combatants are flung back to their starting arena and finish the fight there.
And

As far as the story line goes, I like the concept of cliffhanger endings but I think it would be cool to have at least one ending that they follow in a relative sort of way. I think the endings should be set up as they sort of have been in MK1 and MK2, where you know that Liu Kang is the chosen one, and most likely whatever happens in the future would end up relating to his ending. I'm not saying bring Liu Kang back (I'm not saying don't bring him back either), but I'd like to see something that we story lin junkies can grasp onto a little better. Since MK3 I've been feeling that the story is a little weak, or a little less trustworthy...like the movie story line. You basically have to discount half of the movie to get any correct information from it.
Also, I know that most people hate him for some reason, but I would like to see Fujin come back. I like the idea of having a wind god as Earth protector. I think he should be revamped with a better uniform, leaning toward Rayden's style in taste. He could also do with some original moves of his own. I like the crossbow, I'd like to see that again ~_^.
While I'm on the subject of gods, I'd like to see the Earth, Water, and Fire gods, from MKM somehow incorporated into the game. They've found ways to ressurect characters before. I'd love to see them work that same magic for these neglected kami (god in Japanese).
I'd also like to see Jade return. I like the dark, yet ambiguous tone of her skin and I think it should stay that way for MK(6), where you can't really pin point her exact race but she can be whatever you want in your own mind. She's from Edenia so maybe she's of a race that's bot really comparable to anything on Earth.
Another thing that I think would be cool is interactive items suck and bouldrs and debris on the stages that you can trip over, bump into, or climb over.

How about, if the Krypt returns along with the different types of coins, and say you have alot of one type of coin and you are saving up for an expensive coffin of a different coin type. How about an exchange sort of thing, where you could exchange some of the different type coins you already have for perhaps half the amount of another type of coin.
I think the value should be havled or at least cut down, because it makes it a little easier to get the coins you want.

im sorry but i am not a big fan of the whole konquest role playing, one player type thingy. Im more into the fight for the secrets. In all the MKs you had to fight in special ways to earn a secret not just pratice with every player because to be honest not everyone wants to use every character. And i had plenty boring hours sitting and playing with characters that dont appeal to me just to get a character that in this case was worth nothing. if anything MK waited too long to insert blaze...i almost forgot about him on the bridge of mk1. I think they were running out of ideas because some fatalities were no icing on the cake either. im not flaming because it is a big improvement and i like it but leave the konquest thing alone, if i want that then i would play Bloody Roar 3. the krypt was ok but it in a way strayed from the lineage of MK. You know beat the game get a new character, find one in a secret level like the Question mark, the pit or picking the right icon at the end of the game to fight noob or super endurance. To get to the point konquest made it too easy to get a new character. it gave some indepth to the characters story but that is what bios are for. Thats what MK is about, Bios, fighting, Secrets, FATALITIES...(notice i didnt say Fatality), Pit Fatals. All that is what seperated mk from everything.

i also would like to mention;
*Juggling players in the air looks totally cheap! it shouldnt be on the next MK...
* the blood should leave marks on the clothes, bo rai cho jumps on the other dude to do his fatality, theres blood eveywhere but nothing on bo rai cho's dress! ???
* the krypt is a great idea! i think it should be even larger, some koffins should be opened by 2 or different koins; like to open a special koffin it costs; 6000 green, 3000, red and 3500 blue koins! :)
* the weapons should appear from no-where, if the players have magic abilities they should resurrect them!
* the stage fatals shouldnt be only 1 per stage, like the acid stage, the buddha's can spit on the fighter or you should be able to kick, push the fighter into the acid around the arena :)

One thing I would like to see in MK6 would be some more teasing. One thing that really kept me playing MK in the earlier days were the little things, such as secret characters appearing before a battle sometimes, and Jade/Smoke popping out from behind trees in the living forest. Sure these were mostly tricks to keep people from pumping coins into machines, but they kept me interested.
The atmosphere could be darker too. Some terrifying arenas would be great I think. While I think that most of the Deadly Alliance arenas are excellent in a cosmetic sense and usually with plenty of atmosphere, I really wasn't convinced that my life was in danger when fighing in some of them. Moloch's arena for example could have been way more dark and scarier than it was, and Quan Chi's palace I found rather uninspiring. Both these arenas could have been improved if they were a bit more intimidating. Stage fatalities must return also, and I'd like to see them revisit some old arenas.
Talk about atmosphere also brings up music. Sitting here right now I can't remember what the music sounds like at all, and I don't remember one single tune (except that painful Konquest music, ARRRRGHH!!). This is probably a bad thing, because in MK2 the music was spooky and made an impression, and I remember it clearly even having not played it for years, (well okay...months
).
Noob Saibot must come back, I miss him badly. He needs to be spooky too, and without lame moves like in MK Trilogy. I would like to see a couple of playable secret characters, and some unplayable. An unplayable ghost of an old character would be interesting, Shao Kahn or Kintaro perhaps. I like the thought of seeing a zombified Ermac or Mileena too.
I miss Pre-MK4 Reptile, I would like to at least see an alternate costume for him, being the old one of course. Get rid of Johnny Cage, he's died so many times they must be running out of room at the cemetary, and he bugs me. I was looking forward to seeing Cyrax in DA, but I thought he was rather dinky looking, and that spinning blade is a bit silly if you ask me. I would really like to see him or another cyberninja return, but be a convincing fighting machine with a little more seriousness.
Two fatalities per character is obviously widely desired, as with the return of stage fatalities. I don't know what they were thinking when they didn't put scorpion's classic fatality in, even though its been there since the start, and the scary screech when he takes off his mask.
I am very impressed with Deadly Alliance, but I think that since this is a major change from the traditional mortal kombat there are obviously many things left out or not polished. MK6 has the potential to be to Deadly Alliance as MK2 was to MK1.
