MKD will probably be the best Mortal Kombat ever, upon its release. Why not make it even better with the addition of Full-Motion Video endings? In the past, every Mortal Kombat release, except MK4, has had text/picture endings (UNHOLY LAMENESS!!)

Now is the time for FMVs!

We want every character in MKD to have a video ending, or two (perhaps alternate endings!)

However, morons have rose up and made complaints:

Complaint: "The DVD discs won't have enough space for video endings."

Smooth's Response: "Hey, stupid, it's a DVD disc! That means 17GB, not MB! GIGS of data!"

Complaint: "They won't have enough time to do this, if they want to release by fall of this year."

Smooth's Response: "Hey, chump-brain, how do you know how many people that they have working on MKD? They could do it in time, if they add more people to their staff. Perhaps it's not even going to take that long to make FMVs for all the characters!"

--

MK brethren, let's get behind this petition and alert Midway!

i think they should do it if they have enough time, i dont want them to not complete some of the other stuff they have planned just to do this for their fans. I say let them finish everything they have to finish and if they have enough time let them have video endings.

Video endings should be one of their top priorities. They should make time to complete everything, including video endings.

All they have to do is acquire more animators and writers.

Yeah, its too late to have a petition for FMV in the game now, it just takes too much time too add in that for like 30 characters.

It is NOT too late. There are still several months left until MKD's release. That's plenty of time! Especially if they add more animators to their team. It's really simple, folks. Don't get all nervous on me. Don't back down! Stand up!

Lui Kang was a good start. Sonya would be a good next choice.

I have my fingers crossed. I was fully expecting animated endings in MK:DA, but it did not come to pass.

I think Mortal KOmbat needs FMVs. The ones from MKGOLD were ok but they should make time to make them look like the fight sequence between Baraka and Mileena in the teaser trailer.

Danm straight they should. That stupid slideshoe was such a dissapointment after all the work. And even if it does take more time, id be willing to wait a little longer for it to be added. It would just make another reason to purchase MKD.

Lets not pressure these guys too much they have worked hard to bring us which will hopfully be the best mortal kombat there is, motionless videos aren't too bad, aslong as we don't have to read ultra long scripts at the end, its cool with me if there motionless and are automatically are read to us. So just chill out i'm sure we won't be dissapointed witht his awesome game grin

im all for FMV's but if they include more than two pictures (lets say 5 or 6) during the motionless endings then i'd be happy. can't expect them to have everything i want in the game when theyve already given me most of what i need.

I see no reason why not to sign...If it gives Mr. Boon that nudge in the FMV direction then why the hell not =)

If Boon really did listen to the fans then FMV's will be in. Then again, it took them 2 years to make the MKDA intro and, well, it wasn't the best ever.

I think they know what they are doing. The Baraka vs. Mileena fmv looked kool. I bet they can do it.

If it means waiting longer for the game then I will.

HOWERER it does have it's pros and cons.

Pro: Great eye candy. Shows good production quality.

Con: Story is cut short and not much is told like in still endings.

Soooo.... I'm sort of on the fence on this one. Almost about to fall over into the fmv side. :)

You already saw bits and pieces of a FMV with Baraka and Mileena...you can bet on more FMV's in the game, whether or not they are there for endings remains to be seen though.
Well, I believe someone said that Boon was quoted as saying that there would be an FMV featuring Quan Chi and Shang Tsung to give us some kind of result as to what happened to/with the deadly alliance.

BTW, I am also in favor of FMV endings.

You just can't go wrong with FMV endings!! If they have to take more time, just add more animators and writers to the staff!!

That's probably one of the things I'd concentrate on the least, top priority? Their top priority should be gameplay, without good gameplay you don't have a good game....

No, no, no! We are not backing down! We are not going to get weak! We're sick of these lame text endings. This is MK! It's time for them to have some kick-glass FMV character endings.

Tekken has FMV endings. And, yes, they suck pretty badly, but I'm sure MK can do better than this.

Of course gameplay and all that other stuff should be flawless, but, that's a given. FMVs are another MK cherry-on-top.

We will not go away! Alert Midway! FMVs, or we won't play!

(LOL, alright, we'll play.)

I agree, give them FMV's! the text endings, are so darn reminiscent of the first three MK games.... it's just starting to get a little bit of a let-down to see MK advance so far but then be slapped with a short, storyline text ending.

How is this petition any different from their complaints? And I see no reason to start a petition over something that hasn't been confirmed or denied. And I suggest refraining from calling people stupid if you think DVDs can hold 17gb. ;)

Please keep the name-calling to a minimum.

If it means cutting back on gameplay, level design, and fatalities, leave the fmv's out. Video endings are cool, but I play fighting games to whoop up on my friends. Hidden things that add to gameplay are far more exciting than a 1-2 minute fmv sequence. Just my opinion.

Would I like them? Sure. Do I need them? No.
