Us Gamecube PWN3RZ always find a way around! Extra characters eh? Sounds awesome to me.

I have both PS2 and GC, but i'll be getting the GC version first. I just gotz to check out the extra features and such.

I have all three systems, so it doesn't make ay difference to me. But since Xbox and PS2 have online, why not make the new features the GameCube gets a downloadable later on? It won't be the first time I've bought three altered versions of a game.*SnEeZSoUlCaLiBuRIISnEeZe* Excuse me.

I was wondering when someone would mention DLC (downloadable content), but you see, Mr. Xbox guy, the PS2 (well, most of them anyway) don't have a HDD so to make characters available via DLC would be only a solution for Xbox players.

I hope they do it, but I'm sure after reading the front page poll where a number of us said they'd buy both the PS2 & the Xbox version, Midway got to thinking...

My only complaint is not being able to play as the "extra characters" online, even if I buy all 3 versions.

Why the hell would anyone "need" to buy the game twice for extra characters? Here's a theory, deal with the fact that the GC version is possibly getting a couple extra characters. Hell, Midways doing a good thing for Cube owners simply by releasing the game and making more money for the company so you can keep playing MK. Deal with it or rent a Cube and MKD when it comes out. Whining about it is so petty, and this is coming from someone who is buying MKD on PS2.

Ahem... Now, I'm not sure buying MKD on PS2... Maybe I'll wait GC version...

Or I will buy PS2 version, and if there is extra characters in GC version, I'll resell PS2 version for a GC version... :/

I'm just stating facts. I'm so surprised that I'm the only one that seems a tad bit upset about these extra characters. Hell, I'm not going to lose sleep over it, and it's not going to make Deception any less enjoyable. I'm glad that Cube owners can get their hands on the game. That's fantastic. I have to deal with it whether I agree with it or not. It's just kind of funny how everyone talks and wonders about which characters will be in the next Mortal Kombat, and then when we find out that not all characters will appear in every version. It's just a little odd that there are very few people that actually care about it.

I think he means that you could use projectiles against Motaro. And Shinnok wasn't the best boss either.

Xbox is just gonna get downloadable content later on.So what's really extra for the GC version?Lemme guess...you can play as Link or Kirby.LMAO.Jk jk I had to do it.All I can say is every game i've ever gotten that had extra content because it came out way later on a diff system has not been worth anything,I.e. silent hill 2 for xbox,metal gear solid 2 etc etc.I got rid of my GC for a reason,so I 100% won't get another one.Just ps2 and Xbox versions for me.

I too think it is unfair! I think it is cheap that gc gets extra characters (expecialy if it is rain or kunglao) I think that they should get extra concept arts and things like that

Terrible idea, but not because I don't own a Gamecube, cause I have all 3 consoles, but for the mere fact that I don't want to have to pay $50 more just to get exclusive characters on the Gamecube with it's shitty controls for fighting games.

Throw in a free poster, a shirt or connectivity with the GBA as a bonus for all I care, but altering and adding to the actual in game content is lame.

I thinik it sux that GC will have more characters but look on the bright side...PS2 and X-Box will have online, something GameCube wont have. Too bad I dont own GC.

NO Downloable content has been confirmed in MK: Deception... in ALL Versions.

1. Xbox and Playstation 2 has online capabilities, the Gamecube does not. It ́s like owning Unreal tournament playing in a cabin in the woods with no internetconnection. So it is a great loss for the cube. And to make up for online it has to be something BIG, and extra characters in a mk game is something big and almost replacing the online value.


2.Another thing to think about is that every xbox and os2 owner will get the game earlier,with online, and then later on releasing it for the gamecube without online but with other(hopefully well done characters) will make the ps2 and xbox owners want to get the gc version as well for the characters sake, and because of this midway might seem a bit greedy but it WILL increase the GC sales.

By the way,where does it say if the extra features=extra characters? :S
And another thing, think about how it was 2 months ago, no gc version was planned, gc owners was disappointed. Now that a gc version indeed is coming the online mker seem to get upset over the extra characters. They do too get the bonus of the game released months before the gc.

the gamecube shouldn't get extra charactors it's not fair i thought they would get a tournament mode and a tagteam mode but extra charactors come on they'll probably be slightly updated mkda charactors and we'll get to download them on the harddrives for ps2 and xbox most likely
