Rain was okay gameplay wise, and didn't realyly have a story. 6/10

Rain is my fav in a top 5 category and i think he is sweet.
He didn't get much of a spotlight yet but i think he has much potential to be great. 9/10

Points for referecing Prince and Purple Rain, but that's about it. He was nothing but another color-swapped ninja. Still, he's not a horrible character. He's just in need of more development and originality.

I'm not too keen on his new look, old look or his story.
But, he seems like he has a chance to improve.

This is another of those i got to see how he is in armegddon for now i really hated rains game play in triogly and ultimate and his story was capital B boring so now i'll give him a 2.5 out of 10 but like i said its pending to see how he is in armegddon

That extra half point is due to his MKA look. He plain sucks.

I need to see what he is like in MKA...but since all I have is Trilogy to go off of right now, i'll give him a 7.5/10. His super round house could make some cool combo's...but his story sucked.

i thought Rain was pretty cool and his new look is gr8! although he didnt hav very much special moves and his story was pretty lame but i think i should give him a 6/10...

well in his new costume rain is very xool, and storywise yeah it is cool, so he deserves 9/10, but if in Armageddon he kills Shao Kahn he deserves a 10+

Rain was the last straw for me. He's what pushed me over the edge entirely towards despising ninjas. To boot, he was a joke designed to get people to put money into UMK3 in a vain attempt to play as/against a character who wasn't there.
Then MKT rolls around, and we get moves and fatalities that stretch believablility, even for MK physics. That uppercut was ridiculously stupid. And Raiden had dibs on lightning first.
Didn't help that his storyline identified him as a wuss, either.
He looks nice these days, but it'll take more than a revamped look to make me like him. His story better kick some ass.

Theres nothing that interests me in the slightest about Rain. Another boringly lame pallette swap (it got completely ridiculuos with Rain). His name sucks, his moves suck, his story sucks. He just sucks in every way. And I detest his new loook. I mean come on, he's wearing Mileena's mask and a Poncho, (whats with the womens clothes), as well as having Kung Lao's hair style. He's become a mish-mash of everyone else. Not good IMO. Pallette swap to mish-mash of others isnt exactly thrilling.

7/10 I really actually like Rain's story even though it's not very in-depth. The whole story of him being on the evil side and then being turned good is a bit cliche but I liked it. I can totally understand why people got sick of the ninjas but his lightning attack and forceball made him my favorite one since Sub Zero.

As far as MKT goes, I found Rain to be much more interesting than Reptile, Noob, and Human Smoke. Rain's moves, story, and fatalities were much cooler than those three IMO.
Anyway, speaking of MKT, I love his ending. Gives him some mystery. Did he do it? He obviously wasn't successful because Liu Kang won all of that mess, but it will be interesting to see where Midway goes with him in MKA.
Rain is my second favorite character.
The only thing stopping me from giving a 10 is the new costume. I'm not really a fan of it.

why is it i always seem to like the characters everyone else hates?? rain was my fav character in umk3 due to his water levitation projectile thing, and i liked his story as well. he just seemed far more interestin den ermac, noob, reptile and human smoke, i hope he is as good in mka

Did seem interesting in Trilogy because his story wasn't that great and his movelist could have used some more original moves. I would normally give him a 4 but after looking at his ridiculous costume in MKA i had to subtract a point.
