Regarding WikiPedias Information!

It's just an advisor to people that Wikipedia is not always correct for a “news“ page, because as you can see. There is false information posted on Wikipedia, regardless of the MK pages or not. People intend to fix any errors on wikipedia, which is great. But before users can fix the incorrect data, hundreds of other people are reading false information.
There’s a good reason why I mainly mentioned the fan-sites for "official" statements, and all that. Because WikiPedia can be used for a past-tense reference site for older MK games. But as news for a un-released video game, people should stick to the fan sites. That’s why this is posted in the MK:Armageddon forum, rather than the Classic MK Discussion.

Heh. I wasn't directing my comment at yourself, but rather the dozens of people on this site who seem to think such. I've seen at least five or six topics dedicated to such a nature, and I don't even visit here often!
Thanks for the mention of the Wikiproject in the beginning of the topic, as well!

No problem man. I joined the MK WikiProject myself.

I thought it was pretty much a given that wiki is made BY PEOPLE.....nothing there is confirmed... it's like a huge information dump...........very useful but not always accurate...
... all wiki-pages are the same... to many anonymous ppl going at it.... they are almost impossible to keep clean

It frustrates me when people in my classes use wikipedia as a source or reference and the teachers still don't say anything and then get mad about it later thus ruining the school's whole concept of having the internet as a useful resource of information.

Yep, right on Khaos that's why Wiki sucks man!
I went on there a few months ago only to find so much BS it's not even funny, your Liu Kang turns into a Monkey example is perfect dude.
I recommend people go to A.Midway forumsB.MKO or C.MKoutworld for key, authentic info.
Honorable mentions Gamespot, Gamefaqs.
Perhaps for other things Wiki is good, but NOT for MK.

I highly recommend not getting updates on Mortal Kombat from wikipedia. Wikipedia is a free dictionary that can be edited at will. Please, do not wikipedia.

I will note that this trend has hit the (usually laconic) Japanese Wikipedia, too. Fujin's sole character trait is that he apparently likes sponge cake. At least he's not in a hard penis rock band.

so its fake

Wikipedia is both a blessing and a curse. Any knowledgable person can add scores of legitimate information, but on the other hand, any bored little kid can write literal rubbish in the articles.
However, it is quite alarming when I see many topics, especially on this board, stating "Don't believe Wikipedia, it's all false". Many of us at Wikipedia, especially on the MK Wikiproject, strive to attempt to make sure that as much information as possible can be verified. Keep in mind that the founder of the MK Wikiproject, Shadaloo, is a moderator here.
But the lack of faith you have in us to make Wikipedia great only serves to make it worse, not better.

You guys are right, Wiki sucks when it comes to documenting accurate information.
Somethings are true tho, Some endings for characters in MKA have been posted already..... Check the citation in Sub Zero's wiki page.
Can anyone translate German?

Wikipedia is just a webstie where if one person hears a rumor about something they'll post it up. I've read so many things about Mortal Kombat that is not true on the website, so you people... yeah, you all reading this, even the guy in the corner... yeah you, the one with the beer in his hand and being a complete EMO, Wikipedia is just a bunch of rumors combined into one little page thingy. Yeah, that's all I have to say, I'll shut up now.

For the most in-depth, in-detail, Mortal Kombat lore analysis vids, there's only one source:

My favorite Wikipedia entry was what they put for Reptile:
In Mortal Kombat: Deception's Konquest Mode, in Outworld, if the player meets Reptile before undertaking a sidequest given by Shao Kahn, he will tell the player to make like a tree in the forest area that he is walking around in and "Leaf" him be. Because of this, he is depicted in many fan comics and animations as a joker who makes awful puns.
When I mentioned this on the Kombat Pavilion earler, it was quickly corrected. However it can still be found on Google's Cache of the Page, which is great.
