hmmmm.....i'm willing to bet everyone here has forgotten that ALL charictars have ALTERNATE costumes....this is just one look...hell...who knows, his second look might please you way more than his first....and it does look possible that alts. can be very different from the original costume...i mean come on...what have we heard about scorpion's alt. platinum and black right.....so here i'm just gonna throw in some other random comments

one.....it could very well be from his mask...it seems that once again everyone is forgetting that the damage to smoke's face in game can change his facial appearence...remember bruises and scarring to the face in D.A....same principal here...except it may in fact be effecting his whole face/mask...which i.m.o....would be cool

second...it could be blood...although i have to admit that the "redness" on the mask looks to be in the same place in both pics..the only thing that's different on this pic. is the fact that the "redness" seems to have much more volume than the pic versus baraka so who knows....

on a final note...it's amazing how much bashing can be done in one thread...good god...i've heard people called idiot's, moron's, people's been misquoted, those people get deffensive...i mean for fucks sake, someone's even quoted SHAO KAHN!!! people should not take this for anything more than it is.........A DISCUSSION...to take a peaceful DISCUSSION and turn it into a useless bash fest is rediculous....

If the attack hit in in the head both times the blood would be the same shape and size, like in MKDA. They are not going to have all different shapes and sizes for one body part. Also, no one is sure as to where he got hit exactly. The attack could have hit him in the head first or went by his head which could explain his head bleeding in both pics.

Eitherway, we'll just have to wait till the game is out. Oh and you're riding it just as much as everyone else.

Concerning the blood/mask/whatever, I've taken a closer look, and the shades still seem off to me. The similiarities speak for themselves, but it seems like I'm fucked either way. If it is a part of his mask, then Smoke will look like shit. If it's not, then I just defended my point with tooth and nail for nothing. I could be wrong. I hope I'm wrong. But we'll see. But anyone who claims that their opinion is fact without proof or evidence is an idiot.



And guys, it's true that I don't agree with many of you. There are a few users who I even find annoying. But I won't skull you, ban you, or chastise you because of that. Ever. I beleive it's just blood. If it was part of the costume the red stuff would have been visible on his character select sreen icon since they stick out from his face.

Were's that guy who played the game at the german game expo-thing, he did fight Smoke in arcade mode...

If it's blood, then that's that; if it's part of his mask/face, then it doesn't really matter. It's still Smoke, with just a little bit of color on him. I honestly wouldn't have even noticed the red until it was pointed out in the pictures. I don't see it as something that'll ruin the character.

I would say it looks a lot like blood, but after focusing more in the pic, I must admit it also looks like muscle tissue.

It could be anything. Im going for blood, but if it was muscle tissue, I think its cool.

Ok I been doing alot of looking and I'm almost sure that is blood and not part of his mask. I was looking at the new pictures at Ign, I noticed the one with Darrius and Shinjui(or whatever) fighting. Look at Shin's face, the blood is the exact color and look on his head as on Smoke's. Notice the blood on the floor is a brighter red too.

I disagree. I don't think he badmouths anyone on here. Certainly not in an aggressive manner.
His comments are nearly always constructive criticism, which is the best kind of criticism you can receive. He doesn't fight, nor does he abuse other users (that i have seen).

There are plenty of users on here that overstep the mark at times with their comments towards other. I am included in that, but there are only a selected few that continuously piss me off.

I think that Temp shows high intelligence in his all of his posts, and he always backs up with what he says with a very good argument, whereas others just say "you're wrong and that's that!!" without giving evidence of why he is wrong.

This isn't even a stupid thread, because he has given well-thought reasons behind why he assumes that it is not blood. I do think that it is blood myself, but atleast he has given the background on his assumption.

He's copped so much from this thread that i just hope he is right now. Then maybe it will shut you all up, even though it most likely won't! Continuous bitching is always going on here from everyone.

Grr! I just feel like bitching as well when i see a person getting hammered for no particular reasoning. If it is validated then it's atleast fair to some extent.

Anyhow, I believe it's blood, and that Smoke's new mask is alittle odd, for his look. Hell, I'm questionable as to if it even is SMOKE, anymore. We haven't seen Smoke around him, but I know people say it's IN him. We're not completely sure yet. I'm still hoping for an Old School Ninja outfit for him, with his regular ninja mask. I do believe though, it's blood. The 'beads' aren't really in any order, so I don't think that they're part of the package.
