Yes, the sub in MKDA is the same one in MKD. His medallion that he wears increases his ageing process. He'll probably die halfway through the game of old age.

they were not allais eaither there was hatred in them for eachother!
Plus He'd been hunting for the younger sub-zero because he thought that the younger one killed scorpions family.But the truth was told in MK4 in one of their endings!

wow props to the sub-cyborg idea i like the thought of that...maybe they found his body and replaced it with AI and he could be sent on a mission by the tukinen to destory his brother. if the old one ever comes back it needs to be as a cyborg or some ice god...thats all i would like him as.

if u played MKM:sub-zero u'd see that the orginal sub had alot more unique moves then the 2nd one.... and he wasnt 100% evil he was half good/bad.. the orginal sub killed scorp then he came back n killed the org sub... so if scorp can come back then sub still can... it would be cool to see a half dead subzero

I don't think he should be involved at the moment..but if his younger brother where to die...he might want vengeance as Scorpion did so long ago..

No offense, but I'm not understanding why we should discard a character who has been brilliantly developed and is finally getting a strong foothold in the MK story for another blue ice ninja whose personality is limited to being a tool of the Lin Kuei. Yes, I liked MKM, but that can't hold a candle to the five MK games the second Subzero has held his own ground. Younger Subzero was an individual, a leader, and extremely powerful warrior. The older sub was a prick. A noble prick. But still a prick.

I like the so-called neutral characters, but there's a difference between characters who don't take sides in a conflict than characters who won't even take alignments.

the younger one seems so boring compared to the older one.....

They should bring back the original Sub-Zero. They brought him back before, why not bring him back again?

They brought back the original Sub-Zero in MKT as a non-canon character(much like Human Smoke). Maybe whenever they decide to make a MKT2 they could bring back OG Sub-Zero.

Who cares about the older Sub-Zero. He was an underdeveloped character in MK1, and never appeared in any other fighting game (I tend to believe that the masked Sub-Zero in Trilogy was the scarred one.) Sure, there was MK:Mythologies, but that game sucked. So, yeah, leave him dead. There's no room for two Subbies (hear me, Frost?)

That would be Mortal Kombat: Mythologies, a game you would have to have played to have any idea about elder sub-Zero


On the subject of bringing dead characters alive again, although characters can be brought back to life there is already one Sub-Zero is MK at the moment who is alive, there is no need for another.

I think there is need to put the elder Sub-Zero in this game, because they are 2 brothers,one is good and the other is neutral,and maybe the older one will help his younger brother only for this time against Scorpion.

Sub-zero is still the enemy of Scorpion.
the two brothers only should have different costumes,moves,storylines,friends

the only thing that will remain the same is the ice element an their foe Scorpion

Firest off, he (Sheeva being the second) is one of only 2 MK characters to die and actually stay dead. It's been this way since MKI, let's not ruin that.

Second, I've always seen elder Sub-Zero as one of the 'legends' of MK. He played his part, and will be remembered for it.

Third, to regirgitate what has been said already, the younger Sub-Zero has too much going for him now. We're used to him. We like him. One is enough. And also, there's Frost.

Scorpion's bio was for every MK, Sub-Zero in his foe list is refering to elder Sub-Zero at the time of MK1.

The older Sub made the younger Sub. Think about it, the only reason we like Sub-Zero is because of who he is, which was established since MK1. Older Sub is more mysterious than younger, and I think far more badass. Scorpion was enemies with older Sub, not younger Sub, so the classic feud is between those two who were once dead, and killed each other. I say, bring back elder Sub, and make him more powerful than his brother. Give him the ice blast, and other crazy ice powers. He is why Sub-Zero is cool.

Its true that the younger Sub carried the name through out the other games, but now they need the elder to add some spice into the game, because I know that bringing him back would be unexpected.

Unexpected????? there's been so many ressurections I'm expecting Sheeva back any second.

Elder Sub-Zero isn't mysterious, his personality is pretty detailed in Mythologies.
