Since Smoke is in MKD, I think its time his abilities were used a little more. They have been virtually ignored in the past imo. Since he has smoke abilities, he should be able to use them in combat.
The Teleport Uppercut he had could be performed with him rising out of a smokey cloud and you see his fist and the rest of his body can be hazy. His fist should have a smoke cloud around it.
And given that Konqrr and others have said that he will return in neither cyborg, nor human form, Im hoping hell be a smokey aura with bits of human and cyborg patches over his body. I think itd look cool. Plus, the Mist Punch move below would then be perfect for him.

Projectile Invincibility
Firstly, he should have the ability to become smoke. This would give him his first new special move. As smoke, the projectile would just go through him. What would be cool is if it was just his chest that became smoke whilst his legs an head stayed solid. The smokey torso would have the projectile pass right through. Also, if a parrying system was introduced, instead of Smoke deflecting an attack, he could turn the part of the body being aimed at into smoke, which would maybe send the opponent off balance and counter attack that way.
Mist Punch/Kick
My second idea is that he has the Mist Punch/Kick move I created before. His fist or foot becomes mist and diffuses across the arena and becomes solid right in their face delivering a nicely damaging blow. That of course would be a speedy attack.
Choke/Veil
Use a smokey haze, Smoke can render the opponent immobile by making them choke on the smoke or veiling their vision for a short while allowing for a free attack. The enemy can be seen coughing and spluttering or even trying to waft the smoke away.
Combo Ring
Basically Smoke becomes a smokey ring around the opponent. You see the ring moving up and down and the camera will spin around the opponent showing Smokes hands and feet and maybe even his head appearing and attacking the enemy in all places and from all sides.
Teleport
Well, why not? He becomes smoke and diffuses across the arena. And if you want to be unoriginal, add the punch or kick to make it similar or the same as Scorpion. I wouldnt though.

This is a dash attack. Basically, smoke charges at the opponent. They go to retaliate either by blocking attacking or whatever. As he nears them he phases out into smoke, appears behind them and attacks from behind. This could be a cool combo opener.

Dude that was excellent, i wonder what for will he have in the next installment. Anyways i really liked the Mist Punch/kick as well as the teleport one, i think he should also have some fire abilities as smoke comse from fire (the general term, not the character). That was a nice work man.

Thanks MK Freak. I was thinking of adding fire attacks, but since Smoke has a natural power over smoke, he has no need for fire, so I didn't bother. I'm glad you liked the attacks man. Thanks!

My take on Smoke is that he will actually be a zombie, much like Liu Kang and other undead fighters like Scorpion or Mileena, perhaps in service of the Dragon King...
Now anyway, yeah, I agree that if he's really in, we should see some really unique moves, preferrably with stealth. I'd like to see his MK3 invisibility return. That would be a typical Smoke move ;).

Zombie Smoke? Sounds badass!
The invisibilty returning would be cool, but it should be limited imo. But having it as it was before would be fine.

Has Smoke been confirmed? I kno that everybody has been buzzin about him but i haven't seen any pics.. there's been talk about him being made out of smoke, cyborg and human. The black/grey ninja i assume is Noob, but no smoke! how do u even kno he's included?????? *no offense to u guys* just a question?

He has been confirmed. It was awhile back I believe. No one has seen what he looks like yet though as far as I know.

I never really liked the idea of smoke turning invisible. I know it makes more sense for him, but I always felt like they just tore it away from the original charchter (Reptile) and gave it to Smoke.

Good ideas, bro.
I particularly like the Smoke dash, since he has always been known to be an offensive character. Also, his speed has been uncanny since his introduction. I think he should have some of the higher mobility stats among the characters, and his myst-like shouldn't weigh him down much(I think).
But I don't think the zombie servant of the DK storyline is likely, at least not for Smoke. That would pour pretty much all his story potential down the drain, and murder his former ties with the past games. I much prefer the ally of Subzero storyline.
I particularly like the Smoke dash, since he has always been known to be an offensive character. Also, his speed has been uncanny since his introduction. I think he should have some of the higher mobility stats among the characters, and his myst-like shouldn't weigh him down much(I think).

I like the ideas also.
Teleport is perfect for a charcter called smoke and made of smoke.
The idea of transforming into smoke as opponent missiles approach so they pass right through is brilliant.
I'd like smoke to just thrust his hand at the eyes of the opponent and blind them with a puff of smoke, opening them up to combos.

Thanks dude. Imagine the Combo Ring with an uppercut as the starter knocking you into the air. The consecutive hits would make a huge juggle combo and the enemy can fall down defeated at the end. It'd be like a super combo.

Especially if the opponent fought over control for their mind for afew seconds. The idea is great and Id love to see it too! Fighting for control of their mind would be great however it was already done in X-men Mutant Academy 2.

Smoke grabs the opponents throat with one hand, and starts to create a "smoke orb" in the other. The victim closes their mouth, but Smoke squeezes their cheeks with the choking hand so the mouth would open. Smoke moves the orb hand in front of the victim's face, and the smoke from the orb "blasts" its way down through their throat via their mouth. The victim begins to choke on the smoke, and trys to get Smoke's mercy. He grants them none. They choke more and more, and with one final choke, the victim coughs up their lungs. Smoke walks away from his victim, but when you thought it was over, Smoke pushes his arms out to the sides. As he does this, the victim explodes in a puff of smoke.

That's a sweet Fatality dude! Coughing up the lungs would be cool to see as they'd more than likely choke on those even more. I love the end too.

Thanks dude! I'm glad you like these ideas! I like your idea of blinding the opponent, but that is very similar to the Veil move I made.

Thanks a lot bro. Our bro, Khali came up witht he idea of ending the Smoke Dash with alternate attacks which would be pretty cool imo. I agree that he should be fast. He was pretty speedy on the games he has been on.
I also think that if he is Subs ally, he should be his protector and keep an eye on Frost and Sareena. And remember the icy mist around Sub? What if Smoke were to mix in with that as smoke and then he could attack and protect Sub-Zero at all times. Itd make him a deadly and vastly superior bodyguard.
They definitely need to keep some element of classic Smoke/Smokes otherwise an in-name only Smoke would be hard to accept into canon, unless they go in-depth into the changes via his story.
He does need a smoke attack or side of him, but it shouldn't dominate his attacks - that would be gimmicky - like Subzero feels at times.
Maybe a smokish, partial transperancy/invulnerability effect would be kool?

The Ring something move and the Dashing Haze were my faves! Great ideas!
But actually, I hope he gets NONE of his old special moves. He was pretty much a gray scorpion with smoke. I say he is one of the few classic characters (The only one actually) who needs to have none of his old moves back. None.
