I think the characters from MK4 sucked too but if they turn out like Tanya did for this game, then I think they should all come back and get a second chance.

yea some of them do deserve a second chance. i always like tanya cant wait to unlock her. perhaps fujin and kai will get there chance as well in mk deception?? we'll see on tues of next week.

Well if the rumor is true, and from what my source said about this rumor is true and the next game revolved around Onaga and a giant war between all the realms, then it could probably either be like a Trilogy 2 or it could have all the badass characters return that aren't in Deception.

MK4 was one of the BEST MK games ever; first intoduced 3-D to Mortal Kombat's history, introduced weapons, and introduced 3-D endings; and kept completely with the concept of gore; had some awsome fatalities as well. Kai had some very unique moves: WALK-ON-HANDS which is a first for any fighting game that I know of his fireballs were unique, his two other moves matched him pretty damn good, his weapon if u know how to use it right could really fu@k someone up!!! Fatalities were ok, well at least his rip em apart one was; his story was different than others, at least not a repeat like some of the older and newere characters: unlike Tanya (another Jade but yellow), Sonya/Jax/Kano (been there since MK1/2), Kitana/Sindel (switched roles now even though the concept Kitana being evil is pretty kewl and DIFFERENT praise god), etc. (I do still like a lot of the characters I mentioned but u have 2 admit there stories r going NOWHERE)!!! So what's to complain abt. Kai; overall I think he kicked a$$!!! Same goes for all the MK4 introduced characters: Tanya, Kai, Fujin, Reiko, Shinnok, Quan Chi, Jarek, and hell even Meat (had his own concept; a different version of Chameleon but with a freaky look)!!!

I'd like to see Reiko return, personally.

Dude I hope kai is in, because just a little while ago i realised that he is actually tied into the tao feng storyline(he's with the white lotus). Maybe he'll be in a tao feng 2 if they fix the problems of the first game and have ed boon help out or something. kause i thought that game really had some potental before it came out but then it got all these horrible reviews. Kai would kick ass in mkd and TF2, I hope he is in, and I hope he looks way better.

k, there is no "White Lotus" in Tao Feng. It's "Pale Lotus."
Kenshimaster, do you have any word on whats the dealie with Reiko and Scorpion? And what color t-shirt do you have on too? thanx in advance. If you can't get the Reiko and Scorp info, can you plz just tell me what color shirt you have on?

I don't think I've taken the time to do so yet, but I'd like to thank KenshiMaster for all the info you've retrieved for us :) This is really awesome. I loved Deception before but the strong possibility of Rain returning as well as Noob Saibot/Smoke has driven my want for Deception over the top :D

MK4 was a bad game. The best of the game was the FMV-Endings and some fatalities. The gameplay was the worst i've ever seen in a MK game. My favorit game of the series is MK2. But that's just my opinion so don't flame me

I dont post much anymore, im more of an observer nowadays, i visit everyday. But with all this potential news i had to give you your due, Kenshimaster. Thank you for posting all this great info on deception. Rumors or not (though all this makes to much sense for it not to be true) its great to hear all these surprises. This game has made 99% happy except for one thing...
Like Dark Noob stated, What about Shao Kahn. His sources say hes a playable character. Whould you be so kind as to find out anyhting about Kahns whereabouts/fate. Is he indeed a playable character, is he mentioned alot in the storyline of Deception, is he infact alive as some rumors say, can we expcet a comeback in MK7 or a future installment. Anything would be most appreciative. After i know about Kahn i can rest happily till its release... Thanks once again..

LOL I called.....sorry, I can't stop laughing. HAHAHAHAHAHA. Okay, he said that Khan IS apart of the storyline, and you will hear from him from time to time. As for playable, he said his source never heard anything, so this is now up in the air. 50/50 chance between sources that Khan is in.
BUT, he said there is a strong rumor that Havik is really Khan in disguise so he can get close to Onaga and find out his weaknesses and then when the time comes, attack and kill him so that all of the realms will be his.

Well, Kenshimaster, all this information is interesting. If at least half of what you've said is true, I and many others do thank you for this info.
But the thing is, these days it seems like eveyone and their dog has a source.
Personally, I don't buy anything until I see proof with my own eyes. Last month or so, someone came along saying that he had seen a 'near-completed' build of MKD at a game convention in Germany (which no one had heard of) that had Scorpion in his alternate (at the time unseen), and featured Smoke as a unique character. About a week later, Noob-Smoke was revealed, and so was Scorp's alternate, which looked nothing like how he had described it.
So there has been some misleading in the past. You'll have to forgive certain users their skepticism, but it is justifiable.
Like I said, if what you say is true, thanks for telling us. It's not that I don't believe you...it's that at the time being, I'm sure that others such as myself merely wish to watch and see what happens, remaining neutral.
