When I saw the Superman render I became physically ill. I thought that it looked absolutely horrible.

But seeing the pic in the magazine of him fighting SubZ, I must say, he actually looks pretty decent while fighting.

Same goes for Scorpion, actually.

As a matter of fact, the only ones I didn't have a problem with were the ones we saw fighting prior to seeing their renders.

I'm also betting that Sonya and Flash are going to look REALLY bad in their renders, once they are available.

Edited the title to be less ambiguous. -m0s3pH

Hopefully you are not correct. I hope Sonya and Flash and the rest look awesome.

But yeah, I see what you are saying, they all look awesome ingame.

Seeing it in action only caused further distain for the Scorpion outfit.
Flash (gold arm bands?!) looks surprisingly disappointing. It looks like in-game lighting isn't doing the colours any favours at this stage. Hopefully they can darken them up for a richer look.

... and maybe lose Flash's armbands... It's two yellow lines too many...

The Flash looks kinda stupid IMO. Then again the man has lightning bolts on his head so...yeh. And why is he beating up Sonya? Sure Sonya's look is pretty good but why not have her fight like Wonder Woman and have Flash fight..like idk anyone else?

Obviously Flash is temporarily being possessed by Marvel's Antman, Hank Pym, who is a wife beater.

yeah, he doesn't look so much like a douche bag anymore. his render is seriously disgusting. i know there's only so much you can do with shit hair and spandex, but goddamnit. make his colors a little darker or something.

You know, since the renders look really bad compared to actual game-style shots, why do they bother making the renders? they just make us think the game will look like shit.

To give us an idea of what to expect. Maybe not graphics-wise, but Theme/appearance/clothing/character wise, of course.

O_O

Do they really look THAT bad? I know that for next-gen graphics they havent shown all their potential, in render-wise. But to say it makes the game look like sh** is probably too much imo.

While Batman and Superman dont look as WOW in the renders as Subby and Scorpion did, they still look good.

I dont know (aside from graphics) whats all the hate towards the Superman render. I though he looked cool, simple, but cool.

LOL! i love reading your posts! Its nice to see you back.

Well, it could do with some improvements, to make it look more more next-gen and not so simple. And yeah, DARKER is the key, I know they have to be faithful to DC fans, but making the colors DARKER is not even a dramatic change!

You don't really want to get into a discussion of how bad I hate the Scorpion render, do ya? XD Sure Sub's is good but its rather poor graphic-wise.
The renders aren't in-game renders. They are just for promotion showing what they'll look like. Except the Scorpion one, it looks like Boon released an in-game shot of him.

Ha, Ha, Ha the graphics look "bad" now that's funny shit right there.

The UK mag editor only said they looked just as good or near to VF 5, but yeah...the graphics look "bad" please...

I said that's what the renders made it seem like, the in-game shots are really good.

Considering the current generation, yes they do look bad.

If this was PS2, it would be fine.

Not really, you have to be blind to think that seriously....but you're entitled to your opinion. That's just mine honestly.

This looks next gen easily. You couldn't see the details on the characters like you can in this game in the past MK games(3D)

lol of all the last gen consoles you list PS2? The worst....graphically spec wise. The graphics look great.

As far as the character renders. Yes, that is capable on ps2 and xbox.
However the two stage renders I saw are on the Xbox360/PS3 level. We just have to wait till we see the gameplay from E3 to really know.
