It'd be stupid to use these next generation consoles for MMORPG when they could do something special by reinventing MK as the best beat 'em up ever. That's what I think they're working on and that's why they've been so cagey about it.

It's also the best easily out of any fighter factually, if you read other fighters stories they suck ass compared to MK's

The darkness, the coldness, blood, gore just that dark atmosphere..

But yeah Raidenwins, MKA should have had like an option to have custom OR regular fatalities but I'm sure MK8 will have some oldschool shit back hehe.

My fatality order as far as MK games are:

MK2>MK1>MK3/MK4(MKG)>/UMK3(MK3/MKT)>MK:DA>MK:D>MK:A

But yeah, Chaos listed some good ones. MK2 especially Kung Lao's hat slice, first time I saw that I was like OMG!!

Then Raiden's electricute and BOOM was awesome also, Sub's deep freeze, then uppercut shatter...man those never get old.

My favs personally are MK3/UMK3, MK2(had that asian darkness to it), MK:D, MK:A, MK 4 and MK1

MK:DA I hated the music, sounded like clown music to me lol....

Best select-screen music? Mortal Kombat: Deception, 100%. Deception was DEFINITELY the most well-presented MK of all time. MKDA's was cool, too. Different, but somehow, I really liked it. And again; UMK3's overall presentation is just shit. Man, how does anybody see any good in it besides gameplay? Anyway, this is how I see it...

MKD > MK > MKDA > MKII > MK4 > UMK3 > > > > > > > > > MKA

Overall music? That's a little tough. I'll probably say MKII, overall. MK had some great stuff, which is one of the reasons I was drawn (Courtyard theme). MKDA also had some real cool stuff, but also some not so good stuff. My favorite was the (I forget the name) level where you're floating on that giant raft with dudes paddling it. MKD was the same way. Some good, some bad. Favorite (non-remake) was Sky Temple and Beetle Lair. UMK3? Won't even say it. And I HATE the new music in MKA except for the Meteor level. Here goes...

MKA has some pretty shitty music.

MKD and UMK3 are my favorite for music.

I'm still waiting for a UMK3 church stage to be redone with a remix of that music. So good

The fact that I can't even remember any MKA theme yet UMK3 is still free in my mind tells that MKA music sucks.

Yeah dude, I loved the music in UMK3. My favorite piece was at the Soul Chamber stage. I can still hear it in my head, I love that music. Sometimes I would just sit there without fighting just to listen to the music.

lol.. I can hear 'The Street' theme in my head this very minute and all I see is Nightwolf v Subzero. hahaha.. God, we're nerds! haha

I promise i'd kill (good ) that sound track but midway is dumb.
I've checked with them before, midway doesn't freelance they keep it in house.

I have that soundtrack MK3 and MK4, awesome soundtrack!!

Plus it has exclusives that didn't make the cut sadly...some of them sounded better then what did make the cut IMO.



WOW, finally someone that noticed that lol. Fan stage in MKA(really Sektor's warship floating) fan stage IS indeed MK4's fan stage music just remixed. If you guys listen closely, you'll hear it.

BTW, MKM Sub Zero and MK 4/MKG fan stage had HOT music, so dark and dreay I felt it fit the game well.

IMO, the worst music out of all of them was MK:DA with select screen easily...clown music lol...

As far as overall game music, that's tough. I like them all honestly but UMK3 and MK 4 had a lot of good tracks IMO.

MK2 also, MKD tower stage was hot(also in MKA) so many to name.

MK:DA's hail stage had sweet music.

I didn't play MK4 long enough to listen closely to the music. DA is my least favorite MK.

I spoke with Karen two years back at Human Resources and she finally had someone call me back after a month and was told they keep it in house and don't freelance. I was serious. I had samples and finished products ready.

Which later developed into songs for other groups i work with and some solo stuff i've been working on forever that will never get released because i'm too busy and never satisfied.

Yeah man, MK 4 has a lot of dark music in it.

Yeah, I notice that a while ago, but I like the original better IMO, it had a much darker tone and sounded dramatic and awesome.


I think the subway and meteor storm was awesome tracks in MKA

Yeah man, same here I noticed that from the demos before the game actually came out. I listened to it a few times and was like ohh shit that's MK 4's fan stage just remixed.

MKA's versions sounds hot and more "clubbish", but I do agree that MK 4's was darker, more dramatic for sure.

Well, when you finally get your break and release any of your materials, I'd be a pleasure to say... "hey, I know that hairy bastard!".
