Anyway...I'm looking forward to MK8, and for Red to answer you YES I will get a 360 before MK8 comes out because I'm an MK fan. It was the number one reason why I got Xbox one just to play MK online and other games.

Midway should be making an announcement soon and once they do I'm sure we'd have more concrete facts about the game. I just hope it's not mmorpg as folks are guessing. I just hope not!

Like i said before no matter what midway announces most of you will make more theads we can all argue about and some will continue to live in the past of how "super cool amazing tubular" old mk games were.

MKF do you realize you said that if someone uses ac they are doing it because they don't have any skill?

That is an opinion statement. I use air cancel and 33 to EXPAND my combos. I like big combos I like being able to do more damage on a person if they were stupid enough to use all their breakers.

You don't have to like it, but to say that it shows a lack of skill is idiotic because it takes less time and energy to do a normal air juggle.

What is harder to do if they all end in the same 11f3? What takes more skill? Most of what you say is opinion, but that is my opinion and i know you don't share my opinion because you think what you say is fact instead of opinion.

What I'm saying is SOME players that use it have no ground game, not all. There are players that use it like say eazy, you that IMO don't need AC. AC in a lot of cases in tight matches people like Red for example will rely on JK's into dashing or launching me the whole time just to AC me.

I never said my "opinion" is fact, we're not talking about UMK3 compared to MKA. But we're off that topic, I'm talking strickly MKA and I'm aware of the game man. IMO AC with certain players, at certain times is an easy way for more damage. I hope in mk8 they bring back Scorpion's spear move. Mk8 is going to be sooooooooo good if they do.

MKA did have disappointing fatalities, it's alright...personally I do miss the oldschool fatalities..

The ones in MK:DA and MKD were pretty good, but the best ones were still in MK, MK2, MK3/UMK3 and MK 4 in my opinion out of all of them.

Wow, MKF, for once I will agree with you. MKA had the worst fatalities of any MK game, IMO. Here is my ranking of fatalities:

MK>MKD>MKII>MK3>MK4>UMK3>MKT>MKDA>MKA

As far as fatatlities, I don't think MKA even counts. They're unoriginal and not cinematic at all like past entries. I guess I can understand why they did it (too many characters), but that still doesn't make them valid to me.

I can rank past fatalities. I'll just rate the quality of the fatalities and not let ANY bias interfere. Meaning, I won't rate an original MK fatality too high just because it was original and shocking for its time. Only if it deserves it. I'll give the name of the MK along with 5 notable fatalities from the game. This is my personal order...


#1 - MORTAL KOMBAT: DECEPTION

- Smoke's invisible assassin
- Scorpion's spear tear into neck break
- Kobra's heart tear (pushing it into opponents face is a great touch)
- Baraka's dismemberment
- Nightwolf's decapitation
- (so many great ones)

#2 - Mortal Kombat II

- Kung Lao's blade hat split (sick)
- Reptile's invisible torso rip
- Baraka's blade impale (subsequent slide down the blades is awesome)
- Jax's head clap
- Scorpion's neck/torso slash

#3 - Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance

- Scorpion's spear into head rip
- Jax's body slam into double-foot head smash
- Drahmin's head crush
- Kung Lao's hat toss (the follow up retrieval of hat was cool)
- Cyrax's chest grind
- (remember our absurdly gorey this game was? awesome)

#4 - Mortal Kombat

- SubZero's spine rip
- Raiden's head pop
- Johnny Cage's uppercut decapitation
- Scorpion's flame
- Kano's heart rip

#5 - Mortal Kombat 4

- Reiko's shurikens
- SubZero's spine rip (good remake)

- Jax's two-hand head punch (great remake)

- (that's all: the overall presentation of this game is garbage: LAME)



That's how I see it. MK:D is clearly #1. Almost all its fatalities are great. MK:DA, I know, has some super-lame ones (Quan Chi, Mavado), but the good ones are really good. And the massive blood puddles didn't hurt. And UMK3, as I said, was presented like shit. Never liked when somebody got their torso cut in half, the rest of them would stay standing with hovering wrists floating next to their waste (just one example).

I didn't remember them all. I just remembered how much I liked a particular game's fatalities. Then I just YouTube'd them to see which stood out.
