Good games to OneATARI2600 today. I think I gave you a different guy every fight. Tried to at least. So that was 22 guys. That was fun. It's not often that I feel like playing a 20+ characters AND find somebody who'll go enough fights to get there. I don't know how you do it, but you somehow seem to erase recovery time from your characters. You have good technique with that. I like your Kai and Sindel. Very quick with them.

hes not erasing frames, it just appears that way on your screen. this has been like this since day 1 with certain players, ive had this with atari since mkd. another player that has this even worse than atari is gigaduke, his low pokes have zero recovery frames, making his follow ups impossible to sidestep or jump away.

Alright, well I assumed he was doing some kind of technique to do that because I thought you vouched for him having a superior connection. So because of that, I assumed it wasn't something from lag (although he could normal A/C me).

Of course, I don't even know if it's technically "lag" that you're talking about. Could be something goofy I don't know about.

I didn't complain about any lag advantage. I stated that you "SEEM" to erase recovery frames. I said that because a few of your characters (Kai, Sindel, etc.) throw out moves one after another very quickly. Seems like with no delay.

Red is the one that mentioned something about online stuff being the reason for your quick recovery. I didn't say you had lag advantage over me. Read my earlier post. I believed that YOU had the superior connection. So why the fuck would I say you have advantage over me?

I've acknowledged before that I might just not know how some characters work. The reason I said that in the first place is so people won't think I'm blaming it on lag. Because I do not know. If anything, I gave you the benefit of the doubt. I commended your technique by assuming that you just have good timing with those characters.

Im not erasing recovery frames with either character. MKA forgot to put them in.

I guess youre talking about specific moves.....

Sindel's throws takes up 4 frames, thats the same as a low poke.
So you can spam her throw once you are on top of your opponent.

Kai's pop up with almost no delay on or offline.

Smoke Judo throw and low (high) poke take up 4 frames. The throw is fast but smoke cant block for a couple of frames after it lands. Useless.

Low poke is a joke because it doesnt hit low. Very silly if you ask me. On top of that it can be parried. I just use it as a mind game or to set up after his throw.

Any other moves you think I erased the frames from.

I do have an advantage over Red when we play. MeSofly, I felt I was a step ahead of also.

The game is shit online. And so is MKD. I havent played it in months until yesterday. 50/50 nonsense.

Mortal Kombat is a joke and I wasted two years of my life playing it. Im done.

I'm still in the UK and you probably know that already from the lag. I know it's a pain but I appreciate every to 7 or 10 series with you. It's always max fun and I see shit I don't really see else where. Your speed, quick execution and adaptability is right up there.

I'm trying to get a new job in Toronto so things are very crazy around me and time scales are constantly changing. I was supposed to be around this summer but that got put off again due to shitty logistics of my current job.

So while I'm still trying to work things out, I hope whoever plays have the patience to deal with my connection. It's just as frustrating for me and alotta times I can't even perform air combo but I still enjoy the challenge on NTSC.

You should really look into playing some Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike online on your computer (that is... if your computer is half way decent)

MKA is a joke of a fighting game. Lag, and scrubby ass players kill it.... you should have a look at the PS2 side now days... nothing but mediocre players on now days... except for Dan, Riu, and Bone.

I felt MKA played better on xbox though, I've played both versions. At least from my experience personally, I'd take xbox.

PS2 had more on the lobby but most were horrible or KAK whores, I kept getting disconnected like a million times. It was really annoying.

MKD played better online, UMK3 plays the best though for the 360. MKA is dead for both consoles now though. I've been practicing UMK3 combos lately, insane shit let me tell ya and so much more difficult then the MKA joke for combos. Fun shit

It's kinda funny because I now hate playing PS2 PAL even though the lag is less. I tend to enjoy playing on NTSC a lot more because of the versatility of XBL players and I can't even execute my air combos. I always miss it after popping up. Nonetheless, it's always a pleasure playing you guys!

Quality wise.... Xbox is better only because of graphics. Nothing more.

Possible a better server... but its not likely ( I couldn't tell a difference)


However... PS2 USED to have a more stronger community. You had people like Versatile (He's playing 3S with me almost everyday now), Dave (Playing Tekken 5 DR competitive), Quik, KROB, and a ton more people that used to play.

They quit because they knew straight from the start the game was a trash one filled with weak ass competition, and laggy ass server garbage that could be abused like crazy.

Anyway...

Bout UMK3.... its defiantly the best MK out there. More balanced, and quite possible more fun.

Thing is... the game isnt hard to be good at all. Give that shit to a high level 3S, T5:DR, VF5, or KOF player.... and they'll have the shit down in less than a week. With those games... you have to roll circles to perform special, or just regular moves (------------- Tekken

Its a way more difficult ball game...

Two things are killing PS2
1. Ability to create multiple accounts at no cost - This has made it harder to regulate the community.

2. MKA ranking protocol on PS2 - Pullers are more successful because PS2 doesn't count matches against pullers like XBOX. This has groomed a lot of GREAT rank/KAK whores.

You're missing the point, Arcade. It's not a matter of caring about the ranking system. It's the fact that so many punks who care a great about the ranking have pretty much fucked it up for everyone else. If I cared about ranking then I'd be playing under 10 different accounts.

It's different on the XBOX because users know can't pull when facing a defeat because it would still count as a loss.
