If Smoke and Noob were two different characters, there'd be 25. Since they combined, they made room for on other character.
The video is old.

How do you know they were ever intended to be separate characters? This could have been the plan from the start of development.
Either way, two weeks ago you believed the guy on Gamefaqs about the Prima Strategy Guide BS and now you say there are none. As for myself? I'll just wait an see.

I'm not saying anything here. I just don't want any of my own hopes up, or anyone else's. The game looks good as is. If there's no extras then oh well.

I'm not saying I don't believe him. But he's the same guy who stated that certain characters were playable, and no word.

However, I also saw the topic on Puzzle Kombat, with more characters shown in Puzzle form. I can't explain this at all. It could be that Midway is holding back from EVERYONE and I do mean EVERYONE, or they cut some puzzle characters.
As far as the number of unlockables... technically there are 18 unlockable characters. 12 for Kombat/Chess, and 6 for Puzzle. Has it ever been said that all 36, 30, 25, or however many characters were all playable in Kombat mode, or could they be spread out through all of the modes?

And Dr. Dogg, I wouldn't see it as Midway lying to you, I mean afterall, they never told any reviewers about Noob, Smoke, Jade, Reptile, or the Kintaro Fatality.

Your credibility and anything you say is mere opinion and I take it as bullshit. You posted your "email" from Brady games specifically naming the 6 Supers and you even had the nerve to ARGUE with people to state your case about how YOU WERE RIGHT. Your facts changed in your arguement as your "email" turned into a "phone call" where you called Brady games and they told you the 6 Supers. Now you flip flop. Is your real life name John Kerry???
FACTS:
1. Boon (you know him right???) is on record STATING there will be Super unlockable characters that you get buy RETURING to Konquest after you have finished it in side quest and such. And I quote Dr. Dogg.
"... Even if you get everything the first time through (doubtful), there are a lot of things you can't do until you complete Konquest. You can't even access half of Netherrealm and Chaosrealm until you've completed Konquest. My issue is that once everything is unlocked, there's really no reason to go back. It wasn't really that fun, and once you've got everything, there's really no point because you've seen it all."
There are parts you can't get to UNTIL you finish....MORE KONTENT....that Dr. Dogg apparently has not touched. Has he finished to game in its entirety??? NO. Did he receive a FINAL build of the game??? NO. It was a friends in which he had "LIMITED" time to play.
2. Dr. Dogg is making his BOLD statement from passed on info.....his friends Midway contact could have been the dam janitor or anyone..CMON...
If Boon said it, which he DID. Then I am holding him to it. If he lied then I will take my issue up with him. Right now my issue is with Ninja-Arts spreading speculation on all fronts, from his "Brady games source" to now "Dr. Doggs friend of a friend at Midway". Choose to believe whom you must but Ninja-Arts you really need to stop forming FACTS on very and I mean very poor sources.
Man I have been waiting for you to screw up like this for a looong time. Now you've done it.
FACTS or heresay??? I choose facts

Another thing is, your own facts are off. DrDogg knows and played the damn build of MK D, and asked Midway Directly about extras and the character count. Did you, Widomaker? Do you believe half the shit you hear on TV, I guess so, because you believe a damn video. Remember when we saw Screen Shots of Bellokk in Mk Gold, Damn that didn't happen, did it? I don't think so.
I'm only stating here, nobody get their hopes up. The game is fine with those 24, even without the secret characters, it's fine. Nobody get their dreams crushed when there are no "Super secrets".
Widomaker, I never screwed up. I believed the wrong person who'd told me the 6. Obviously that person isn't trustworthy. You're the asshole trying to pick a fight over nothing at all. A call was never made, and I never stated that. I don't know anyone at Midway, Never said I did. You're fooling yourself if you think you're acting tough online, and trying to pin me to something. I sent an email asking a damn question, that's it. That was well over months ago. Now, something new has come up, and it's also stated as fact, and you're quick to go against it, because you refuse to believe what's truth. Just because Ed Boon said it, doesn't mean shit. He said there'd be more then 24, this could apply to Puzzle, as well as some other alterations.

| DrDogg Wrote: As I said in the other topic, Midway confirmed there are only 24 playable characters in Kombat/Chess modes. I'm not withholding info on that, if I was, I wouldn't say Midway said there were only 24. However, I also saw the topic on Puzzle Kombat, with more characters shown in Puzzle form. That's horseshit if the "super unlockables" are only used for puzzle. What the hell is the point to that? Let's get everyone going about super secret characters only for them to find out that the only secret ones are ones that you can't even fight with. That's lame as all hell to just have them in puzzle.
All you get to do is kick someones ass in that game while you get to watch your little deformed Stryker tazer someone, but not getting to actually play as Stryker. That's a cocktease and I'm sure will piss alot of people off since Boon technically didn't lie, he just didn't say where the super secret guys were going to be put.
No secret characters would make this MK the 1st of that kind.,.. and after all the work they put into it, I doubt they would leave something like that out

| ninja_Arts Wrote: First off Widomaker, let me state, you my friend are an asshole. |
Nice to see I have driven you to name calling. Please keep this adult and dont show your age.

Ninja-arts quote.... "That said, I'm saying he's right, because of a Source I have, is as good as Konqrr's or anyone else's. I was told this exact roster, even the Noob Smoke tag team deal. I ALSO myself contacted BRADY GAMES, because no one else would, and got the answer that SOME secrets would not appear in the guide." That was a direct quote from you.

Anyone feel free to read Ninja's comments in that thread. Ninja you need to reread it yourself to check out the statements you made.
| ninja_Arts Wrote: Another thing is, your own facts are off. DrDogg knows and played the damn build of MK D, and asked Midway Directly about extras and the character count. |
Dr. Dogg quote...'I didn't ask Midway directly, I asked a friend who's build of the game I was playing. He directly asked Midway if 24 was the final character count, and Midway said that's it. He has the build so he can review the game for the mag he works for, so I don't know why Midway would blatantly lie to him. As far as I'm concerned there are only 24 playable characters, but if I'm wrong, I'm wrong.'
Ninja you really need to keep this discussion to the facts and only facts. Try and back things up and stop spouting crap to argue.

Contacted could mean Email, which I did. Where Did I say..."I called Brady" ?
Nowhere. I resorted to name calling, and only because of you're assumptions.
Again, DrDogg said that Midway was asked up front, Are there more then 24 Characters in the game, and they responded with a flat out "No". Check his thread.
Busted? I think not...I never said "I called", I said "I contacted" and they responded with this in an email "Due to Midway's request, some things may not appear in the strategy guide. Hope this Helps..." And so on, Wanna check? Look it up, You Brilliant Investigator, You.
