Tons upon tons of people 'contact Midway'. Just because someone is employed by Midway does not mean they are in contact with any aspec of this game. Is this game all that Midway has its hands in??? Does Midway have only 20 employees?? Use your head and not your ego to try to make a discussion.

No, they don't only have 20 employees, and I know that. But I'm not passing anything on that's only a rumor. It's a fact that was stated and asked. I also stated that some of those Character builds could be used for a different part of the game (Puzzle Mode) as well as other things.
I didn't say I'd get more respect then you, but you're stating things I never said and assuming things, like for one that I 'called' Midway/Brady. Which I didn't. See, on Brady's webpage, you can contact them with a question and get an answer. That's what I did. I never called, never said I did. You made a mistake in saying an assumption.

Now, onto the topic at hand: Ed Boon said HIMSELF at E3 that there were the 24 characters, PLUS more unlockables. Now, granted, this was in March, but it takes a lot of time to recode a game of this depth. They would not have the E3 build, then redo the thing in 6 months. It just take longer than that. So, before you make claims, research it a little more than what you have.

This thread is completely pointless and is just pissing everyone off. Nobody knows except Midway about the "Super Unlockables" and it has done been confirmed that there will be some (meaning more than 1) - it was NEVER said that these are only Puzzle Kombat unlockable fighter (which I'm sure there will be some) so please quit taking confirmed subjects and making bull$hit out of it!!!

I have something to say regarding this flame war....
ONLY and ONLY Midway MKD teams Knows for sure how many characters are in the game but,
MDDA came out unfinished and Boon could be rushed a little bit to finish the game as Midway as public finance difficulties and MK is a Oxygen baloon for the company. MK is their biggest franchise.
Also i can't imagine what the sentence "SUPER" characters means....
Only when the game goes to stores our interrogations will be answered.
Also, this could bring a new discussion like Final Secrets for MKD.
I don't think DrDoog was lying and i think this game is putting a lot of "misunderstood" between the guys on this board. Relax people it's only a game and we should be happy with MKD.

the dudes job was just to reveiew konquest, to share how it plays. thats all. he wasnt givin the game to find out who all the secret characters were. only to give his impressions.. just the fact he said there r only 12 puzzle kombatants proves that, everything is not in his build..
there should,atleast be 24 puzzle fighters.. if there is only 12, ill be greatly disappionted!!

Alright lets get it straight.
There will be super-unlockables. Boon himself stated it in a video 3 months or so ago. There will be unlockable characters, and then the super-unlockables.
If someone has early access to a strategy guide that only features the 24 characters, the most likely outcome is they told the publisher not to reveal the characters so they have secrets.
Belokk was an example brought up to show he lied. I didn't even know they made a Belokk until after the game was released.
You could say that stage fatalities for DA would be a lie. I would say its his fault for not telling us earlier that they were cut. But it wasnt something he said would be in just 3 months before the game was released, it was a feature said to be in it when there was a year left in the dev cycle.
If i'm wrong about the super-unlockables I will never visit this site again. (literally, because I would be too pissed about the franchise to go through another sequel.)

Dr.Dogg, I think its great that you got to play and review a build of MKD but remember it was only just a build possibly a couple of months old or so. Through my experience in the game industry via E3, retail and and playing copies of unfinished games through my industry contacts I have learned to take those builds at face value and not as finished products. Remember the early build of Resident Evil 2? The main character was a blonde chick wearing a red and yellow biker suit.
The male character was more like a Chris Redfield look alike not to mention the zombies and whole other areas and weapons that never appeared in the game. Do you remeber Conker at 1997's E3? That game became something completely different in the end. I am in no means trying to discredit you and I know that you are only trying to shed some light on the whole secret charater subject which I think everyone appreciated you efforts.
Being in the indusry you should know that usually the finished product of a high profile game is usually quite a bit different than just a build of the game . Unless the contact you friend spoke to was one of the developers I wouldn't hold any weight to a response given by a mere employee about the game. I for one don't really expect much in the way of secret characters but I think it's safe to assume that no one will know if there are any extra characters until a couple of weeks after the games release .

the final build.. lets see.. like i said in a previous post that they still have a month left.. so theres time to add about what 3 arenas and 2 death traps per for those arenas... and little tweaks here and there...
as for alts, they could of locked some secrets from you guys.. mabe like you said eariler you didn't knew how to do all the alts.. mabe there was already an alt by just passing the regular arcade, and you find the 3rd alt by getting it in konquest..
you also stated that you didn't had that much time when you played it.. but i doubt you had 13 hrs with the game... and the kypt was going to be per realm wasn't it.. so you probley only did 1 realm..
but.. mabe like i said there wernt the choice of going to anouther realm of the kypt since it was probley locked from your build...

Well guys I think there will be super unlockables. Look at this picture if you remember last month it was put up.

If you look in the middle I believe that is Jax and Not that new character Durrious. Also there are a couple of wierd looking ones on the bottom left side.

Now tell me that you see ALLofthese characters in the select screen.

Okay here's what I'm thinking based on my knowledge. I never bought the guide for MK:DA. I played on my own. It took me a couple weeks to get used to the game itself being used to the old MK's. It took me atleast a couple months to figure out that Blaze and Mokap were even playable. And I doubt this guy has searched this game high and low. And also, the Smoke and Noob thing. Of course they would be presented as seperate. But really....do you think Midway would give up their cool sub-boss idea for a brand new game so early before release date? Hell the fuck no. Thats why they were seperate. And also, the old E3 select screen, it makes no sense one of you would say "Why would they scrap it" when it was a demo. Thats like asking "Why did they scrap the DA select screen from E3 2002!?" Because it was a demo and probably made ONLY for the demo. Also, Boon said there would be a bunch of secret characters. It makes no sense that they would scrap so many characters. Bellok I can see why they would scrap him. That was one but more than one!? Thats fucking insane. Plus, they said over and over again that there would be TONS of hidden stuff packed into the game. And everyone knows it wouldn't be a Mortal Kombat game without secret characters, whether they be playable or nonplayable. Just because one guy, who has proof, never-the-less, I seriously doubt he has had the game long enough to find the secret characters or even half of all the secrets.
