You know, it's almost comical how such a fervor has arisen lately over the perception of unfairness, since it's (at least in my view) more so based on the general notion that whatever is allowed on one site should be the prevailing thought on another; whether it pertains to what can or cannot be posted or the overall decorum (or lack there of, which applies to most of the recent instances) of its members towards one another and the Moderators. The fact that the game has pretty much died out is also a factor, though a minor one.

Now... I'm not going to pontificate my feelings about this in great detail at this time. However, I'm going to keep this thread open for now (meaning, not meant to have a long lifespan) so some more lucid opinions can be conveyed. Though, its viability really depends on the replies and if there's something tangible to that someone has to say, that's fine. But I shit you not... ones in the vein of the two above won't fly, cause it's simply not needed. And it'll cut this thread's lifespan dramatically short.

here is what i think:

MKO and MKAC are meant for 2 different audiences. the rules that are set up on MKO are restricting and to the majority of us, and potentially insulting because they limit us as mature adults.(not mature as in actions per say, but as in topics, and overall conversations). However, it seems to me that these rules are necessary to enforce what has been come to be as a "youthful" site.

What i mean by youthful is just the people who post here seem to be younger in age or of a younger mindset. Maturity of topics and such is an example.

What MKAC offers that appeals to us is the freedom of speech and the almost citizen led community. three of the mods there are Gerchap, Pig and Quest. All of them are active members of threads and come from where we are as gamers. They can understand what we need and take action to make it happen.

This is unlike at MKO where the mods seem distant and "unreachable." Mods here seem to be elevated above the rules and are nothing but enforcers of silly rules meant to keep the "younger" audience happy.

Now this is not meant to be disrespectful in any way. I am taking a mature approach (trying) to the situation. you left it open to get feed back so here is what i have for you.

You have set up your site for kids. This is a mature rated game. We should have the right to curse and flame. Well, that hardly happens at mkac without mkf there to instigate. (maybe thats the problem...lol)

but seriously, MKAC has what we need to be ourselves without looking over our shoulders for the "evil" mods to skull or ban us.( i use evil loosely)

Now about the mods " lifestyle" really, who cares?! He has put hard work into a site that reflects what its USERS want. Personally I don't believe that he is what people say. He is just doing his thing and we are doing ours.

i do kinda agree on a few points that Meso fly made. some of the mods on this site never post and arent really appart of the MKOnline community. some just pop up to give skulls and ban never to be seen again.

theres others like GD, Crow, Mkkitana & Pinkranger(unsure if she is around ATM though) who are apart of the community one way or another. they are always willing to help and respond to issues we OR atleast the issues i have.


there are a few shadow priests who need to be put in check by the mods.
i have noticed a bunch of folks getting DP's just by posting Nonsense and being friends and others members posting actual well thought out posts and getting nothing for it.


This is a privatly owned site and the folks who own it can run it however they want, However they still want the public to come to their site CLEARLY.


something has to be wrong when there seems to be problems popping up all the time.

1st the General forum issues, then the xbox forum now it has creeped over to the PS2 side sadly.

some mods need to be cut from the team and the site needs to get more folks who are actually apart of the MKOnline community.

Telling you? Nah... you're going to have to go and figure it all out just the way I did. I'm not here to try and start a crusade or anything just merely trying to make you see what lies beneath and why we're having this conversation.

Can just ask why this dude lost respect of pretty much everyone that knew him long before I even came here or why non of the players on his own continent can testify to his greatness or give a good reference? History will tell you all you need to know, Fly - but try and be open minded about it. Look beyond the 'he shelter us with beautiful homes' hence we don't care if he's a killer.

@ Dan: I hope the mods actually read and take on board EVERYTHING you've pointed out. You have a cool head than most to understand where the problem lies and that it doesn't matter whether or not you like msn or aim, or MKO or MKAC however, it matters that one understands the rules and why they're in place and also equally important how they're implemented.

O.k well this site is gonna be "dead" until MKAC and UMK.com gets shutdown or when MK8 comes out (which ever comes first)
I bet once MK8 comes out this site is gonna be up and running again. Elites and clans from MKA, Check will be back finding combos and glitches, plus like a hell of a lot more will be coming due to the word spreading around about this site on MK8 ( especially if there is a MKA Lobby) so yeah lets just sit back relax and wait for MK8.

About MODS:
I barely have any idea about them because they (Like Dan i believe said) come on time from time to give out DP's (kind of a dumb system by the way) Skulls, and Bans (Which are given out 100 times after they should be given out)

@ Trax - i hope you understand a video of somebody quitting tells a big part of the story , then theres ppl like your DA buddy here who claims theres no proof of him quitting yet his scrubbish post easily describes to me where he comes from , aswell as your other DA posters , one who claimed he quits on boring and the other who loves to say " dairou lamer "

Word Bone! That's one of the reasons for my choice. But things are better now. You have Quest who's a cool dude. Pig who is a good punk..lol and Gerchap who's reasonable. Those are the only 3 you should ever trust with rules over there. Trust me on that!
